Based on their interview last night it just seems they're going with the flow and not getting ahead of themselves which I like to see. They're just going to tour here and then see where it goes. I can see an international tour being on the cards and tbh just being able to see them is perfectly fine. I fear that the pressure to release new music may not work out for them after so long away from it. Don't get me wrong I'd be happy to hear something new but the expectation will be incredibly high.

I wonder where they will go from here, the tour is so far away yet.
Theres the obvious X Factor final, I know in 2016, GEM were rumoured to be performing Say You'll Be There with one of the finalists, but it didn't work out. It would be a good bit of promo before Christmas. Then, The BRITs would be another clear opportunity for promotion and to cement themselves as a 4 piece prior to the tour. Of course, Glasonbury is a big rumour too thats circulating in the press. I don't blame them for taking it easy, the problem with 2007, was that they over promised and then couldn't fulfil, so they are better doing it this way. I wish they'd just repost the Greatest Hits in physical and show the tv commercial a few times, its an easy stocking filler to buy for those who are going to the show next year so would surely sell well in supermarkets etc. |

Don't know if this has been posted before but I've just stumbled across this and it's very interesting to watch knowing what's happened since. Mel C's responses were quite surprising.

Oh that brings back some bad memories. That time when Melanie C didn't have a nice word to say about the other girls. She seemed so jaded for a while. Thank God that's behind us!

Oh yes, lots of bad memories flooding back from that! 🙈 For years it felt like there was little to no hope at all, they were so down on it, particularly Melanie C. So suffice to say, June 2007 came and it was such a wonderful surprise. *.* |

So suffice to say, June 2007 came and it was such a wonderful surprise. *.* Yes, that Loose Women interview was quite a turnaround! Does make it easy to see why people claim they do it just for the money (I think that is part of it but certainly not the only reason). Victoria says she's excited for the girls and will absolutely go to see them on tour - https://twitter.com/extratv/status/1062048382208761856 I do feel for Victoria when she's constantly asked about the Spice Girls. It's clear she thinks back very fondly on her time with the group and continues to support them in what they do, but even still it seems like she's very wary on what she says otherwise she'll be painted as the villain. She's moved on and has lots of commitments which is absolutely a sound enough reason, but I feel some people will still think she should drop everything and take part in the reunion. |

The thing with any spice girls reunion to happen there has to be 2 things, it has to be something worth while and they all have to be in the right mind frame for it.
2007, 2012 and 2018 (minus vic) both of those boxes you can clearly see are ticked. |

I reckon she feels a bit sad about being on the outside this time round. But she's doing the right thing for her career. To drop that now would be madness. Lost count how many times she says 'exciting' or 'excited' in that interview though This post has been edited by Michael Andrew: 12th November 2018, 08:54 PM |

An interesting interview with Harry Maggee from Modest who are managing this tour:
interview here QUOTE How did Modest get involved with the group for this reunion? “Simon [Fuller]was looking for a management partner for the Spice Girls, particularly in the live area, somebody that had experience with scale and international [acts]. We had several meetings and we put together various scenarios internationally. In subsequent meetings, we talked and they decided they just wanted to do the UK to start with to see whether it was going to work in terms of them enjoying it. We’re looking at Australia and North America and Europe. Nothing else is planned but if these [UK shows] go well, then we’ll obviously open up these conversations in the second bit of the last quarter of next year and probably going into 2020. If it works, if the girls enjoy it, we would look at it as a two- or three-year plan, and in conjunction with that there is the opportunity to elevate the Spice Girls brand even further through other mediums.'' The two or three year plan seems interesting. |

That's very positive and exciting! I really hope this comes true and that this reunion lasts a lot longer than Return of the Spice Girls.

How much would tickets now range in price for a Spice Girls concert in the UK?
Would you prefer a four member Spice Girls without Geri, or now Victoria? This post has been edited by Aussie: 18th November 2018, 09:00 AM |

I'm not just saying it because she's my fave but I definitely think they have more spark without Victoria than they did without Geri.
I think it balances more because you have a balance of two stronger extrovert personalities in Mel B and Geri with Mel C and Emma. The last four piece only had Mel B and three similar. I'm sure others prefer the first four piece though. |

Tbh I preferred the 4 piece with Victoria to the 4 piece with Geri. I find have found Geri a bit too much in interviews she dominates so much and I actually found her borderline irritating on Jonathan Ross butting in on other people's interviews constantly, and even having to be stopped by Emma at one point...
I'd rather have Geri in there now because Victoria clearly had no interest anymore, but in the past Victoria's sarcasm and humour was one of my favourite things about the band. |

If they are on they are more than big enough to get their own slot although im not against them doing something with little mix. Spice girls for the x factor final would be a great coup.
