Back from holiday now and catching up with replies from last week, they'll have to be brief this week but back to business as normal next week!
Hi Mango Yay at Louis Tomlinson being your highest new entry here. Just Hold On is probably my least favourite solo 1D single to date so I wasn't really that hyped for this at all but it has massively exceeded my expectations. The production is spectacular and the chorus is really catchy, I hope this grows into a chart hit like Slow Hands because it debuted way too low officially Not really getting Subeme La Radio yet. Despacito was so instant for me but this isn't half as catchy for me and I find the chorus even a little irritating. Matt Terry is no Justin Bieber either A great single choice from Paramore, it probably wouldn't be my top choice from the album but I'm glad we finally have a second single. Nothing is as good as Hard Times though for me, what a joyous bop Coldplay are a bit hit and miss for me but I'm not massively falling in love with Miracles. I don't hate it either like I do with Something Just Like This/A Sky Full of Stars but it's just sort of there not making much of an impression on me yet. Yay at Summer Bummer entering here, I wasn't sure if it was actually going to be made a single so I'm very glad they're pushing it because it's one of my favourites on the album. Who knew she would sound so good on a proper urban track with raps and all, it just works so well imo Nice to see you loving Kesha so much at the moment too, I'm sure she'd have hade multiple #1s on my chart if it went back that far with stuff like We R Who We R, Tik Tok and Blah Blah Blah but I'm not loving this as much as her trashy bangers honestly. It's still a nice ballad though but I'm actually listening more to Woman at the moment. Lovely chart Hi Josh! Agreed about Back To You and its lush production, I'm pretty confident it will be a Top 10 hit! Kinda agree with your comments on Subeme too, though it is growing on me steadily. New Paramore is a good choice of single I think though you're right Hard Times was a bop and they'll have a hard time () topping that! Agree again about Coldplay, Miracles is very nothing-y but it might grow. Still trying to get into Summer Bummer although I'm not quite where you are with it yet. Kesha's trashy bangers are definitely her strength but tbh I really like Praying, it's nice to hear a different side to her and that she can do ballads well. Thank you Heya Mango, here are my favourites of the week! I'm loving the climb for Kesha this week, I absolutely adore that track. It is my favourite of the tracks released so far, Woman is a bop too but I don't like Learn To Let Go Great climb for Zedd this week and an amazing feat for The Scripts having all 15 singles top 10 Nice NEs from Enrique, Louis and Coldplay! The Enrique song came in at #2 in my chart in March when the original came out, I am thinking of charting the new version too! i loved Bailando, Duele El Corazon and El Perdon! I was surprised by how good the louis song is, thanks to Bebe Rexha and the ultra strong chorus! Great chart! arrow up.gif 1 (5) Kesha - Praying (3 wks / HCP 1) [19-5-1] *** 1st EVER NUMBER ONE *** arrow left.gif 2 (2) Calvin Harris feat. I'm really enjoying all three Kesha songs but yeah Praying is rather adorable Yes the Script's Top 10 record here is very impressive, there's very few artists that can claim that kind of record! I haven't been massively into Enrique's Spanish stuff before but I'm quite getting into Subeme. The Louis/Bebe song is great, yeah the chorus is very strong, hope it blows up! Thanks as always Hi! Nice number 1! As much as it's something I wasn't expecting from Kesha it is a nice song and kinda perfect for a comeback like hers Yay at New Rules going too 10 so happy this is set to be a massive hit! Nice to see Real Life and Just For One Night both climbing well, I'd kill for the former to be a hit Great Chart! Absolutely agree about Kesha, it's just the comeback she needed. Can't quite believe how well New Rules is doing, very pleasantly surprised! Thanks BridgeCow hi 1 (5) Kesha - Praying (3 wks / HCP 1) [19-5-1] *** 1st EVER NUMBER ONE ***deserved #1, edging up on my chart too! 2 (2) Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean - Feels (6 wks / HCP 2) [27-14-3-2-2-2] 6 (16) Dua Lipa - New Rules (3 wks / HCP 6) [26-16-6] *** 4th CONSECUTIVE TOP 10 HIT *** arrow up.gif 7 (9) The Killers - The Man (5 wks / HCP 7) [32-20-13-9-7] arrow up.gif 8 (10) Rudimental feat. Astrid S - Just For One Night (3 wks / HCP 20) [36-26-20] arrow up.gif 21 (29) Maggie Lindemann - Pretty Girl [Cheat Codes x Cade Remix] (2 wks / HCP 21) [29-21] 27 (-) Enrique Iglesias feat. Sean Paul & Matt Terry - Subeme La Radio [Remix] (1 wks / HCP 27) [27] great chart! Thanks Toffo, glad you're enjoying those Hi Mango Very impressive from Kesha there, what was her biggest hit here prior to Praying? Back To You is pretty good, much much better than Just Hold On, not normally a huge Bebe fan either but they sound great together there The Enrique track to me just sounds like a sub-par Despacito, surprised it's taken off so quickly actually although I guess their getting in on the hot demand for Spanglish songs now The Coldplay & Big Sean song oddly does work quite well, thought that may have had a chance of scraping the top 40 but you never know... Superb stuff! Hi Dobbo! 'Blow' was Kesha's previous biggest hit here, it made #3. Agreed about Back To You, it's very good! Kinda agree about Subeme being a poor man's Despacito but it is growing on me. Can't quite get into Miracles, it just sounds a bit bland to me Thanks What's up Mango! Where are you off to this week? 1 (5) Kesha - Praying (3 wks / HCP 1) [19-5-1] Wow! While it hasn't hit me THAT much I'm certainly glad to see this catching on, great start to Kesha's comeback. Really enjoying the other songs she's released too. 3 (3) Jax Jones feat. Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don - Instruction (6 wks / HCP 3) [25-11-5-3-3-3] 4 (1) Carly Rae Jepsen - Cut To The Feeling (8 wks / HCP 1) [24-5-2-2-1-1-1-4] 5 (15) Zedd feat. Liam Payne - Get Low (3 wks / HCP 5) [24-15-5] Can't believe this is Zedd's first top 10 for you! That said, I also like it and think it suits Liam quite well. 6 (16) Dua Lipa - New Rules (3 wks / HCP 6) [26-16-6] 8 (10) Rudimental feat. James Arthur - Sun Comes Up (4 wks / HCP 8) [28-15-10-8] This is a great collab and I'm thrilled to see Rudimental back in the top 10 officially, still a shame they never managed it last era! 10 (4) Liam Gallagher - Wall Of Glass (8 wks / HCP 4) [25-13-9-7-4-4-4-10] 11 (6) Matrix & Futurebound feat. Calum Scott - Light Us Up (5 wks / HCP 6) [27-15-7-6-11] 12 (17) Arcade Fire - Everything Now (4 wks / HCP 12) [30-20-17-12] 13 (8) George Ezra - Don't Matter Now (6 wks / HCP 8) [32-20-14-9-8-13] 17 (13) Sigala feat. Ella Eyre - Came Here For Love (6 wks / HCP 12) [34-23-16-12-13-17] 21 (29) Maggie Lindemann - Pretty Girl [Cheat Codes x Cade Remix] (2 wks / HCP 21) [29-21] Do you like the original too or just this version? I just love Maggie's voice so I'm a fan of both. 24 (-) Louis Tomlinson feat. Bebe Rexha & Digital Farm Animals - Back To You (1 wks / HCP 24) [24] Only listened once so far but this sounds much much better than 'Back To You' IMO! 25 (14) Danny L Harle - 1UL (10 wks / HCP 1) [7-1-1-1-1-1-2-6-14-25] 28 (18) DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller - Wild Thoughts (6 wks / HCP 16) [35-25-19-16-18-28] 30 (36) Demi Lovato - Sorry Not Sorry (2 wks / HCP 30) [36-30] Not at all what I expected from Demi but it surprisingly sounds great! 32 (21) Little Mix feat. Stormzy - Power (9 wks / HCP 3) [19-4-3-4-4-7-11-21-32] 35 (24) Rita Ora - Your Song (9 wks / HCP 5) [24-11-6-5-6-13-18-24-35] 39 (34) Jonas Blue feat. William Singe - Mama (11 wks / HCP 13) [31-21-16-16-15-16-13-17-28-34-39] 40 (31) Camila Cabello - Crying In The Club (10 wks / HCP 3) [32-21-14-10-6-3-8-17-31-40] Great chart! Sup Jordan! I spent a week driving round Scotland, such a beautiful place 1 - I agree, it's a great comeback from her, and all three songs are very impressive! 5 - Yeah I've never been a massive Zedd fan really, but this really stands out, it's so catchy, and yes it does strangely suit Liam. 8 - Yeah it's good to see them back in the Top 10, although I have to admit I'm still not sure about James Arthur on it, I think a different vocalist would have suited the song better. 21 - I like both the original and this version equally tbh. She does have a great voice! 24 - I presume you mean better than 'Just Hold On' 30 - I'm still not completely sold on it but it's definitely growing. Thank you as always |

Hi Bridge! I get the Shape Of You comparisons with Rain but only as far as the style of song and production, it's not like it rips off the melody or anything. I think it's a great song in its own right! Fingers crossed for Real Life remaining Top 40 tomorrow Yes Boys is equally annoying and catchy lol it does sound like a hit though. Thanks for commenting Hi Mango, Boys... the only appeal for that song is the video Although is a bit late, nice entry for Katy Nice jump for Louis and Bebe Dua Instruction dropping being that near to the N.1 Hi Seltin! Yeah the Boys video is quite clever I guess, and will help to sell the song, I'm sure it will be a hit. I was never sure Swish Swish was ever going to be a proper UK single until last week lol. Bored of Instruction now! Thanks |

Hi Mango
4 #1s! You are our resident Script fan then I am quite liking Rain, not enough to make my Chart but it's one of the better tracks in the current UK top 40. Great to see Swish Swish finally enter, easily her best in years IMO! New Charli XCX was a big disappointment for me, much preferred After The Afterparty. Haven't heard your other NE's but good to see Dua Lipa & Louis Tomlinson on the climb. |

Hi Mango
Nice to see Harry Styles entering here, I wonder when we'll start seeing a radio push for it. It wouldn't have been my #1 choice for single on the album but it is a very nice track and it's not like anything is going to be a massive hit anyway. I hope it keeps the album selling nicely because it's a really strong piece of work Not a fan of Swish Swish at all, I absolutely love both Katy and Nicki but the song is the definition of cringe and I just can't look past that. Even the silly lyric video just makes me want to roll my eyes when watching it. Just want her to move on to the next single already A great single choice from Royal Blood and yet another banger from them. I think Lights Out could now be my favourite ever track from them (tough between that and Come On Over) and the album didn't disappoint either Another lovely track from Jessie Ware, she sounds lovely singing on anything but the song is really strong too. I just can't wait for another album from her, Tough Love had so many great tracks so I'm hoping for more of the same. A shame she isn't likely to get a top 40 hit with this when she got two from the last era, Say You Love Me was a stunning track though I do like Sorry but not even half as much as Amsterdamn tbh, the latter really excited me when I played it due to how upbeat it is but Sorry is more of a nice listen without going to the same heights. They have a great singles collection already though, excited to see what they release next and the album of course Lovely chart as always |

Swish Swish is pretty good but it's still far from her best! Not sure how I feel about new Charli, it's slightly annoying with the Super Mario sounds but very catchy! Thanks Dobbo Hi Mango Nice to see Harry Styles entering here, I wonder when we'll start seeing a radio push for it. I think there are a couple of other single choices on the album but I don't think this was a bad one. It's definitely one of the best songs on the album. Like you say, I don't think he's going to get any other big hits from it. I would have thought we'll get a radio push for it very soon, there's no way they won't get on board surely? Swish Swish is cringe yes but then there's not many Katy Perry songs that aren't I think it's a good song but it's still far from her best. I'd have to agree with you about Lights Out, it could very well be my favourite from Royal Blood too. This new single is such a banger too though! Great to drive to Yeah Jessie Ware does sound lovely on anything tbh I hope she does get another Top 40, you never know. Midnight is such a great track! I actually prefer Sorry to Amsterdam, their slower singles tend to grab me more than their upbeat ones for some reason. Although having said that, Amsterdam was also great! Looking forward to the album Thank you |
