Best Behaviour is obviously a flop but it's having decent longevity outside the top 40

The bottom line is it started badly with Forever Young and 18 months later Best Behaviour struggled to #48 despite a reasonable amount of TV promo and airplay. What is concerning is how small the bounce is after any TV promo.
Not sure Syco are going to put that much more effort in and soon they will be turning attention to Ella Henderson's 2nd album campaign. |

Best Behaviour gets a lot of air play for a non top 40 song.
I am not sure if Radio 1 will buy into another single. They might go with well this one didn't stick so why would another? |

Louisa has 2 features ready to hit the charts with AJR and also Olly Murs. I wonder will these features appear as bonus tracks on her album in addition to her Clean Bandit feature. She is building up a lot of features but i believe she now needs to have a HIT single solely under her own credit.

What are they doing with her then? Surely there's too much potential to drop her.
I'm thinking they'll go back to the So Good type of song and will just wait until late autumn/winter to release it. Seems like the logical way seeing as it really worked for her, and the chart position shows that. |

Ooh okay. Really want another ballad, but surely it'll be another Best Behaviour seeing as it's July.

As much as I'd love to hear her sing a ballad, I'm not sure that's what would give her a hit It's hard to pinpoint when Best Behaviour pretty much ticked all the boxes but still didn't manage to take off, but she definitely needs a summer anthem at this time of year I'd say.

They need to give Unpredictable time, that is her summer anthem imo. |

They need to give Unpredictable time, that is her summer anthem imo. The problem with that is it's more Olly's single than Louisa's, it's a re-recorded song from his last album, not sure it'll end up making her own album! But So Good was a hit and that was a ballad I'd have said that was more midtempo! |

The problem with Louisa that has always been the problem is that they pushed her too blatantly on X Factor. She feels like someone who won unfairly.
A secondary problem: who is she? Do they have her doing interviews on kids tv or daytime tv? We never got a sense of who she was as a person on XF. A third problem: Forever Young. Really whoever planned her series to revolve around her as everyone's perfect angel in white who could do no wrong before landing her with that dud of a winner's song - especially given her vocal ability to handle almost any song they threw at her...well, I'm sure heads rolled over that. Essentially X Factor was a three-month advertisement for audiences to buy into her. They did it enough - with a lot of help - to buy into her as the best of 12 on the show, but in so doing, also managed to not build up at all who she was as a person, the kind of music she'd be putting out, and why you should become A Louisa Fan who'd want to buy her music. So essentially they've had to shove that under the rug and start from scratch so it's taken a little longer. Now she could just be any girl starting out as a new artist trying to make her mark. |

Can't see her album appearing anytime soon - her chart career has been 9, 5, 13, 48, Didn't Chart and 49.
She's in horrendous territory IMO - 'Tears' and 'So Good' were hits too long ago to be able to sell the album, 'Forever Young' was a non event and she's now had a solo single miss the Top 40, a duet failing to chart and the current Olly single struggling. Not sure what else Syco can do even if they want to? |
