1) Name a UK Top 5 hit single from a Welsh artist or band

Most Popular 10pts:- Duffy – Mercy
Cantthinkofaname, chezwombat, Theo., Liam, suedehead2, Riser, Jade, Lewis, Bre, SamJudd, HarryEzra

Joint 5 pts:- Tom Jones – It’s Not Unusual
SM351, vibe, danG, TS0301, 777666Jason, PeteFromLeeds

Joint 5 pts:- Stereophonics – Dakota
Paulgilb, chrissmith276, soundseekers, Dobbo, awardinary, Sarah

1 pt:- Manic Street Preachers – Design For Life
Girl from oz, Bjork

0 pts:- Manic Street Preachers – Your Love Alone Is Not Enough
Mack

0 pts:-Tom Jones – Delilah
Dannyboy

0 pts:-Bonnie Tyler – Total Eclypse of the Heart
Dexton

Surprisingly Welsh legends Tom Jones, Bonnie Tyler, Stereophonics and the Manics all miss out to Duffy who broke through with her massive hit 'Mercy' in 2008. Her debut album 'Rockerferry' was also massive, but sadly came victim to the difficult second album when it flooped a few years later.

Was expecting more love for the Manics :/
I considered Tom Jones, Stereophonics and the Manics but never Duffy
not even sure if I knew Duffy is from Wales

This one looks to have been a tough one to guess which is most popular as there have been quite a few Now's with more than 10 Number 1's on. Just a shame it doesn't seem to be happening these days.

Back in the early 2000's big hits were lucky to spend 10 weeks in the Top 40 let alone 15, but there was a few which managed to hang around. Well done to everyone who said Kylie who did manage to spend 20 non consecutive weeks in the Top 40 with 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head.

As confirmed by Dan on the questions thread yesterday the rules of FF dictate "if multiple people go for the same 'wrong' answer then points are still to be awarded".

woo for most people going for the logic of the most recent Wardy NOW thread to feature 10 #1s and the most recent fully instrumental top ten hit (Ten Walls).

and hopefully people said Kylie for both Q4 and 5.

Akon comes out on top who has had two Top 10's along with David Guetta of course getting a UK Number 1 hit back in 2009 with 'Sexy Chick' and then along with Ne-Yo in 2013 for 'Play Hard'. Flo Rida features on Where Dem Girls At, but also scored a Number 1 with David Guetta as a featured artist back in 2010 on the mighty 'Club Can't Handle Me'. Bieber and Usher both feature on one of Guetta's Top 10 hits and whilst Chris Willis features on three of David's Top 10 hits only gets one nod on here behind Sam Martin whilst Sia is not a male artist.
