Eep really only squeaked through there! (although not quite the lowest points total I've qualified with as I did get through with 34 points with Set And Setting)

Only 8 voters for my song in the semi Thanks for 12 points to Greenfroze, 8 points to Suedonia and Rolloland!

Ooh that's quite an improvement from Semi to Final! I did think a lot of my target audience were in the opposite semi to me this time.

At risk of sounding like Cody, I was lightly concerned about my prospects of qualifying. Apparently that was wholly unjustified |

So what’s likely to come next then… BJSC 144 (assuming John agrees to host again) or Masquerade (which Lindsey offered to host this week)?

I'm isolating this week and likely into the start of next week due to having covid (again) which is why starting the spin off asap suits me but I'm willing to drag the confirmation/voting stages out if needed to accommodate deadlines for the main contest if there are any clashes.
I've had the green light to get it started so I'll be putting a sign up sheet up tomorrow and running it over the weekend (might be longer depending on reception). I just wanna make sure it's countries who are participating that are being given out for people to mansquerade as but I might have a backburner list of other nations so that if there are late sign ups they don't need to miss out |

Thanks for the very swift and enjoyable hosting, John! Congrats on the back-to-back wins *.*
17th would've been my sole most common position if that initial result had stayed the same - alas it remains joint most common 19th is fine, glad I managed a top 20 hit in the end! |

Congrats on another win John
It's been a while since I had a 23rd but it was still my most common position, so of course that's where I'd end up! Decent finish for Turnstile, very happy with that especially with a couple of 18s in there. Had less of an expectation of where points might come from than usual, but even then surprised that was my first ever points from POPHub, especially 13 of them! |

Oh well 98 points in the bottom 5... At least I can be really proud of the entry as it is an amazing Ukrainian bop that does not forget its roots while featuring lots of traditional Ukrainian instruments. Glad Greenfroze gave 18 points to this entry and this means a lot to me. My commiserations that your entry got robbed in the semi. Hoping that does not dissuade people sending more regional entries to BJSC! Your entry was lovely, and it definitely deserved at least a top 10! I noticed that you gave me a lot of points in the semi final, and I was really bummed out about my DNQ, but at the same time, I made a lot of amazing discoveries, and the final was stacked with quality, so it's understandable that I didn't make it too. Even if I DNQed, that doesn't mean no one liked my entry, though, and I will keep on going with my type of flavor of East Asian entries. I did well with it the previous two months, which means I can do well again! |

Peach PRC has been entered 3 times in the last year and all 3 have qualified but then finished in the bottom 10 ('Josh' 32nd in BJSC 135 and 'Heavy' 39th in BJSC 141) - nailing the formula of songs people like just enough to keep sending and qualifying but no more than that I overlooked that! Seems similar to the formula YONAKA had a few years ago
