By entering the Album Chart at No.11, Queen just miss out on their 210th Week in the Top 10 of the UK Album Chart.
They'd have been only the 5th Group, (or Duo - Simon & Garfunkel), to have 210, (or more), Top 10 Album Weeks in the UK. They have another chance to reach 210 Weeks, when their 'Queen Forever' Album is released later in 2014. (It is a Studio Album with unreleased Songs added). GROUPS & DUOS WITH THE MOST UK TOP 10 ALBUM WEEKS (W/E 28th July 1956 to W/E 20th September 2014) 1) BEATLES - 463 Top 10 Weeks 2) ROLLING STONES - 268 Weeks 3) SIMON & GARFUNKEL - 240 Weeks 4) ABBA - 224 Weeks 5) QUEEN - 209 Weeks ######################################################################### 'Legend' becomes one of only 9 Albums to take 30, (or more), Years to return to the UK Top 10. 9) LEGEND - BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS (1984) @@@ W/E 29th September 1984 - No.10 (Its 20th Top 10 Week) to W/E 20th September 2014 A 'Gap' of 30 Years between Top 10 Entries ######################################################################### @@@ = The Top 10 Re-Entry had 'Bonus Tracks' added to it ######################################################################### If the Bob Marley has had new tracks added to it since its original release it wasn't this week - the re-entry is due to the album being 99p on Amazon/Google Play during the week, not being re-released, so I din't think that should have '@@@' next to it. |

Bré - No matter that 'Legend' is back in the Top 10 due to a price discount, I've checked, & it is the 'Deluxe' Edition that
has the price discount. So it has Bonus Tracks - compared to the Tracks that it had in 1984, when it spent 12 Weeks at No.1 & 20 Weeks in the Top 10. As long as the Top 10 Re-Entry has added Tracks, I show it via the @@@ Symbols. |

That may be true but I think it's a bit misleading as it implies it's re-entered *because* of the new tracks which isn't the case (whereas it is to some extent with the rest of the marked albums). |

Thanks for the extra info Colin. I know how frustrating it is to research something (like weeks in the top ten) and then find it is only semi-relevant. Still worth reporting though! I meant to check when Legend was last in the top ten but didn't get round to it. The albums chart was a bit busy this week!
I have also corrected Ten Walls' given name after Haven's Lithuanian member provided the information. |
