Hi Harry
I like Katy Perry's song but's it's not number 1 material for me. Have you watched Ciao Adios video? I like it but I was expecting more to be honest. I still can't believe Lana has missed out on UK top 40. I need to listen to that London Grammar song called Big Picture. Is it really that good to go straight to the top 5? Galantis Rich Boy is in my bubblin' under list. Yes at No More Sad Songs. Little Mix never disappoint me. Nice chart! |

Lana & Katy are my favorites.
Dua Lipa & Christine + the Queens also. But the Dua Lipa-single was already a hit one year ago & christine's album was released in spring 2015 if I remember well. Dua Lipa's new single is pretty good (just entered my chart) and for French pop there are more than enough 'newer tracks' which are excellent: Paradis (also 1 year old, but discovered late 2016 myself) and more recently Peter Peter, Fishbach (Un autre que moi - reminds me of Christine & the Queens), Juniore, Eugιnie (Puis Danse), Holy Brune, Blondino, Juliette Armanet, Yelle, Frΰnηois & The Atlas Mountains, La Fιline, Laure Briard, Clιa Vincent, Burning Peacocks, Corine,... The number of great releases is just endless! I could make a whole list with great current French releases only. This post has been edited by PopDroid: Mar 12 2017, 11:02 PM |

Hi Harry.
'Big Picture' is another vocally flawless song from London Grammar, but the song isn't particularly hooking me. It doesn't have that power of heartbreaking emotion that 'Strong' or 'Wasting My Young Years' had. I think it would sound lovely as part of an album though and I love how it builds as the song progresses. 'Rich Boy' rates lower than Galantis' four previous hit singles, but I've not been truly hooked by anything they've done since 'Runaway (U & I)'. On hindsight, that song isn't really that different to what has followed, but it seemed quite special at the time, whereas everything else has been music I've enjoyed on a night out but not been interested in relistening through choice. I may be alone on this, but Bruno's BRIT performance was a highlight for me. The song isn't completely grabbing me, but it was great to see the old school soul spirit alive on the stage along with Bruno's cheeky personality. Easily the most charismatic performance of the night. Pleased to see Lorde climbing into the Top 10 and new Little Mix and Jason Derulo sneaking in! |

Hi LiamK, I get what you mean about Big Picture it is flawless vocally but no where near as emotional as some of their other singles! I would say Rich Boy could be better than Love On Me for me that is probs my least fave Galantis song He was my third favourite iirc The song is actually a lot more fun than 24K Magic to me at the moment Glad you like Lorde climbing and that Little Mix and Derulo have sneaked in Thanks for the comment |
