Uhsting's Top 50 More graphical version of my chart can be found on Crownnote: http://crownnote.com/charts/uhsting/uhstin...op-50-songs-120 Chart commentary: This week continues the busy trend of the top 50 chart, overseeing 18 new entries and 1 re-entry. Jerusalem almost debuted at no. 1 but fell short at no. 2 with an avant-garde approach to a hymn. Continuing the influx of rock and metal songs, Crossfaith and Merta debuted high at no. 15 and 20 respectively, with Hot Milk at no. 40. The new entries also include a fair few upbeat pop songs, with the banger by Celine Madelen debuting at no. 23 and Sam Ryder at no. 25. Last but not least, we have a new entry in Ukrainian and a new entry in Icelandic (and also a new entry in Finnish as mentioned earlier). dashery finally tops the chart this week with an instrumental-heavy monologue, while Never Change gets even closer to the top spot and the Hebrew song by May Sfadia jumps to no. 4. There are no songs dropping within top 10 this week, with last week's no. 1 jumping straight down to no. 13. Trending Diving has jumped 28 positions this week to no. 11, making a close approach to top 10 but Vchera by Polina Gagarina also makes a comeback this week despite hanging dangerously close out of top 50 last week. 1. Number One Entry
This is a highly sophisticated song by Dua Saleh and the strongest part of this song comes from the instrumentation. It gives the feeling of dashing through. The vocals are quite interesting but fit amazingly well. It is well-produced and it takes a bit of time getting used to the style. Highest New Entry Discovered from UP XXX, this has to be one of the most mind-blowing songs I've ever heard this year so far, and this genre is lacking representation in Classical New Releases playlist, albeit much better last year. The instrumentation changes and approaches its climax in the end. It is an awe-inspiring experience and certainly sounds like an obvious winner to me in UP XXX. Whether that is the case remains to be seen. Highest Jump This song is gaining traction in a lot of places, and one of the two songs that makes me re-consider my chosen song for BJSC 138. The chorus is catchy and Evangelia's voice works wonders here, together with Kelvin Jones. The song retains the ethnic vibes present in previous Evangelia songs, while the production is upped and the structure is a lot more typical of a common pop banger. One to Watch This sounds like a hit in the making. It is a pleasant song, characterised by the catchy chorus and memorable melody. It gives you a warm and welcoming feeling, and is the other song that makes me re-consider my chosen song for BJSC 138. A lot of new artists have risen to the pop music scene lately, for instance mags and MICHAELA. I hope Celine Madelen will do terrific with this amazing pop banger! Of all debuts, I definitely know Burning Bridges and Battlefield. Great follow up by Sigrid, probably better than Mirror on the first listen. While Battlefield is my least favorite Ryos single this year, not really on the same level as Fool's Gold, and Midsummer Nights.
Good to see Apashe on the top 3 as well |

While Battlefield is my least favorite Ryos single this year, not really on the same level as Fool's Gold, and Midsummer Nights. Good to see Apashe on the top 3 as well Hi Ken! Agree on Burning Bridges sounding better than Mirror here. It is more catchy and the arrangement is defo a lot more interesting. Battlefield has a nice drop so maybe it could grow on me I'm totally mad about Never Change right now. Let's see if he will represent Belgium in Eurovision 2022! Hi there uhsting! Nice to see Maisie doing well in your chart with a gain and a debut! I also like the debut for "Burning Bridges"! Great chart! Hi Sergej! I'm expecting more Maisie Peters songs to appear on my chart soon. Quite enjoying Burning Bridges atm Hey Uhsting! My personal highlights of this chart have to be the debuts for 'I'm Trying [Not Friends]' & 'Burning Bridges'. Awesome chart as usual! I'm Trying (Not Friends) is a lovely song by Maisie Peters and I hope it will be released as a single soon. The lyrics would be good material for a music video that visualises the story! Thanks! Hello! Kindness has really grown on me with the videos release. I like it a lot. One Night is quite decent now that I've heard it. I like it too! Don't Go Yet is so infectious I could listen to it all day. Almost. Hi James! Glad to hear Kindness growing on you! Maybe we will see it appear on your chart? One Night is a great song from Griff and it could grow on me more. Don't Go Yet has a great vibe to it and it does get into your head Nice to see Sam ryder entering, there's an awful lot I've not heard on your chart haha! Hi Toffo! Great to see you here Hopefully you will find a fair few good songs here More is quite an astonishing song and I could see it going big in my chart. Quite intrigued to see what more he could offer |

Hey uhsting!
Ive said it before but its really difficult to comment on your weekly charts mainly due to me not knowing most of your songs! But I do want to because you often comment on mine which is nice to read, plus youre one of my close friends on this forum too! I genuinely dont know where to begin, as I am just not familiar with these songs, but its nice to see something different and hopefully there are some hidden gems here to be discovered from a future BJSC too! Thank you for sharing your personal chart this week! Until next time! |

I'll never understand Buzzjack's YouTube link bugs, when I opened this page under the 'Number One Entry' it had the video for 'Divine Sorrow' by Wyclef (with the rest moved one Youtube tag down) and I got very confused for a second I'm actually listening to your #1 now, another strange one but weirdly catchy! She certainly enjoys a good rhyme or two

Hi Uhsting! Lots of Maisie Peters tracks! Must check them out... Griff, OneRepublic & Billie the only ones I know still though, oops! So much music I don't know exists, I bet the artists love your chart for giving them a leg-up! good work! Hi john! I quite enjoy the new Maisie Peters album and some songs are relatable. I would be absolutely shocked and pleased if the artists do some shoutout I'm glad I discovered some of the songs here as a lot of them went unnoticed and sound pretty sophisticated and amazing <3 Hey uhsting! Hi Wardy! Thanks for your really nice words and they mean a lot <3 <3 I do recommend the unknown gems here, though the genre varies a lot. Yet, I think some of them would suit your taste well! She certainly enjoys a good rhyme or two Interesting... that didn't happen to me on my laptop. dashery is a highly sophisticated track but you are right about it being really catchy. The instrumentation and chord progression gives this uneasy feeling and is definitely very different to what we usually hear nowadays. Thanks Pete! |
