I'm pleasantly surprised no one guessed me instantly on the listening session, that was like the most Chez entry ever laugh.gif I know it had perhaps less guitar than a Nuggets song should have, but I've wanted to send Frozen Night for a while, it is indeed another brony musician and he makes very detailed and thought out concept suites, worth a look if you're into classical/symphonic metal hybrid.

Loved all of that current top 3, I really wanna know who sent Deceptacon as I'd known that for years but could never put a name to it!

09/30 | coi
guest voter

We take a short detour from the song reveals as coi decided to bless us with some votes despite still being yet to make his debut participation in the contest (maybe next time?) We'll see if this extra set of votes proves decisive.

QUOTE
Here are my votes for Nuggets 13:

+12 Soda Stereo - De Música Ligera
+10 Kalandra - Slow Motion
+8 Karen Zoid - Aeroplane Jane
+7 Michigander - Misery
+6 Frozen Night and PrinceWhateverer - Lunar Eclipse III (feat. Holly Frances Royle and Andra Stefan)
+5 W O L F C L U B - Just Drive (feat. Summer Haze)
+4 Seven Spires - Succumb
+3 Dalriada - Őszi ének
+2 Starbenders - Cover Me
+1 One Night Only - Plasticine

A really enjoyable selection of songs! wub.gif

1 42 The Joy Formidable - The Leopard And The Lung
2 41 Soda Stereo - De Música Ligera
3 32 W O L F C L U B - Just Drive (feat. Summer Haze)
4 31 Miss Grit - Impostor [Harry]
5 30 Dalriada - Őszi Ének [FrankLuck]
6 28 Mute Swan - Life-Like Dream [Bré]
7 28 Cassandra Jenkins - Hard Drive
8 27 Kalandra - Slow Motion
9 27 THE HARDKISS - Kobra (feat. MONATIK)
10 25 Seven Spires - Succumb
11 21 Frozen Night and PrinceWhateverer - Lunar Eclipse III (feat. Holly Frances Royle and Andra Stefan) [Chez Wombat]
12 20 King Hannah - Crème Brûlée
13 19 Starbenders - Cover Me
14 19 Le Tigre - Deceptacon
15 18 Rinse & Repeat - Noise Inside My Ear [Jade]
16 17 Michigander - Misery
17 16 Yard Act - Dark Days
18 14 One Night Only - Plasticine
19 12 Joe Wong - Dreams Wash Away
20 12 Manchester Orchestra - The Silence
21 8 Anna Ternheim - Lovers Dream (feat. Fyfe Dangerfield) [Ghosty.]
22 8 Karen Zoid - Aeroplane Jane [Kath]
23 7 Told Slant - Family Still
24 7 Story Untold - i luv that u hate me (feat. Kellin Quinn)
25 4 MiG 15 - Cowboys & Indians
26 4 Saint Nomad - Nothing To Lose
27 2 ENVYYOU - New Friends
28 2 Ian Post - Once And For All
29 1 Kid Kapichi - Glitterati [Severin]

coi doesn't change the leader but does significantly cut The Joy Formidable's lead to just one point, as he provides a first 12 to Soda Stereo pushing them up to 2nd place (they've got points from all but one voter so far). W O L F C L U B are pushed back to the top 5 in 3rd, knocking Miss Grit down to 4th, and Dalriada continue their yo-yo in and out of the top 5 climbing back to 5th. And most importantly of all Karen Zoid is finally off 0 (with a medal position and all) so everyone now has points to their name. Unfortunately it's Severin's Kid Kapichi who take over the wooden spoon slot still only having one point so far.

Really though, there were so many great entries in this contest and I enjoyed discovering them, delighted that De Música Ligera is doing so well at this early stage!

10/30 | JSG
W O L F C L U B - Just Drive (feat. Summer Haze)

Returning participant JSG is up next and he sent English synthwave duo W O L F C L U B (with a song that's not necessarily typical Nuggets fare but it is on the more guitarry side of synthwave songs) featuring one Summer Haze. W O L F C L U B had a top 10 hit in BJSC last year with 'Rebels' and they look well on track to repeat that success here and perhaps even better, currently in the bronze medal slot.

26 4 Saint Nomad - Nothing To Lose
27 2 ENVYYOU - New Friends
28 2 Ian Post - Once And For All
29 1 Kid Kapichi - Glitterati [Severin]

And now Soda Stereo take the lead for the first time, continuing to rack up very consistent points! Who could be behind that entry I wonder ~ Also still yet to be revealed, The Joy Formidable slip back to 2nd place 6 points behind. Miss Grit rises back to 3rd for Harry, Cassandra Jenkins is back in the top 5 at #4 and Seven Spires also return there at #5. The floodgates are open for Karen Zoid as she dollows her first points in the last vote with her first 12 here, flying on her aeroplane up to the top 15.

11/30 | King Rollo
Manchester Orchestra - The Silence

Rollo was pipped to the longest song of the contest but just had to make up for that somehow, and that was in the form of the video for this track having a lengthy intro making it the longest song on the YouTube playlist. Filling up that airtime for Rollo was Manchester Orchestra who are neither from Manchester (they're from Atlanta) nor an orchestra (they're an indie rock band). They currently place just inside the top 20.

12pts - Kalandra - Slow Motion

26 4 Saint Nomad - Nothing To Lose
27 2 ENVYYOU - New Friends
28 2 Ian Post - Once And For All
29 1 Kid Kapichi - Glitterati [Severin]

The top spot remains competitive as The Joy Formidable move back to #1, pushing one point ahead of Soda Stereo with this being only the second vote not to award any points to the latter. Miss Grit holds in 3rd, while a first 12 to Kalandra moves them into the top 5 for the first time at #4. Cassandra Jenkins dips back to #5.

12/30 | Riser
Michigander - Misery

Riser may be from Ohio but he crossed state lines to be represented in this month by Michigander, a band who unlike Manchester Orchestra are in fact from the place you'd think from the name. They're doing pretty well so far currently inside the top 15 a little over a third of the way through the reveal.

07 MiG 15 - Cowboys & Indians

14 22 Yard Act - Dark Days
15 21 Michigander - Misery [Riser]
16 20 Joe Wong - Dreams Wash Away
17 20 Karen Zoid - Aeroplane Jane [Kath]
18 19 Le Tigre - Deceptacon
19 18 Told Slant - Family Still
20 18 Rinse & Repeat - Noise Inside My Ear [Jade]
21 18 Story Untold - i luv that u hate me (feat. Kellin Quinn)
22 15 Manchester Orchestra - The Silence [King Rollo]
23 14 One Night Only - Plasticine
24 13 Anna Ternheim - Lovers Dream (feat. Fyfe Dangerfield) [Ghosty.]
25 12 MiG 15 - Cowboys & Indians
26 9 Saint Nomad - Nothing To Lose
27 4 Kid Kapichi - Glitterati [Severin]
28 2 ENVYYOU - New Friends
29 2 Ian Post - Once And For All

No points to either The Joy Formidable or Soda Stereo here but they remain undisturbed in the top 2. Seven Spires push back up to third place, knocking Miss Grit and Kalandra down to 4th and 5th. It's been a while since THE HARDKISS got any points after killing it in the first three votes but their drought ends in style as they pick up a third 12, putting them back up to 7th place (tied in points with 4th).

And I'm glad you liked the badgers x
