I thought this might be fun (I originally had a similar idea for a Lounge thread but might work better here) and maybe people would get to comment on certain BJSC countries that they don't normally post about. Favourite / least favourite entry? Most memorable entry? General impression of taste? etc.
Keep it friendly please lmao. (I'm a little bit wary of these kinds of threads sometimes if someone else happens to jump in between and then it's like "edit: this was for X" but whatever. ) This post has been edited by M.: 30th August 2017, 07:23 PM |

Deandria are one of the most reliably high quality countries for me *.*
Favourite entry is probably 'Hologram' by Vogel or 'Ankara' by Fakear. The latter is a fairly new choice but I have gone back to it so much! |

I haven't shared many contests with Jadakissnia but I have enjoyed pretty much every entry I have heard of theirs.
My favourite entry is probably Last Lynx ! |

A country that sends the (very ) rare absolute banger, but seems to have a lot of filler-type entries that are all very nearly-but-not quite! Hoping for some more Just Kiddin tbh

Generally one of the best around! Some of their bigger hits are proper classics too like Sulk/Beautiful/Moan/Wonky (+ that Henry Saiz song gets me every time)

Trifoski are definitely one of the most consistently high quality countries for me, rare for them to be far outside my votes (PWR BTTM aside). I feel like our music tastes in general have kinda drifted recently for some reason but you still send great songs to the contest at least *.
Best entry is Yeasayer obvz |

I love that Persephonia always send something that is interesting. You can never second guess what your entries will sound like yet they somehow all manage to sound like something that is so typically you.
Definitely an all time classique country. edit: obviously this review ignores your early entries haha! This post has been edited by dandy*: 30th August 2017, 08:18 PM |

Fljotavik are always a country that never seem to have any 'filler' songs and always go for something intriguing even if it's not to my taste all the time - also not afraid to go for a universal sound (Zedd/Karen Harding) when you do it's always worth it which is quite good to see. Also a country who I only found out recently points me more than I do them - despite being a big Fljo fan!
favourite entry has to Foxes 'Youth' which is my 2nd most played song of all time This post has been edited by Klumzee: 30th August 2017, 08:55 PM |

I generally enjoy Kluminican Republic as a country and they are pretty brilliant at delivering quirky bangers every now and then (and in fact I've stanned them quite a bit this year with both Archangel entries <3)
Think my favourite is either Rock U Tonite or Mellow Brick Road (which introduced me to Pogo ) |

Not always a country that appeals to me but I admire their chutzpah and I'm continuing to look forward to what they send. Terra Avium recycle coming soon? Who knows!

Cor Lupus: Our tastes don't cross here that much unfortunately, but 'You Settle Me' remains such a good track, was amazing to give you top points for once, even if it could only be in the semi! The Japan vs South Korea spin-off entry was also amazingly uplifting for me at the time and I was so happy you introduced it to me through there. I also still listen to LIONE - Leave This Place quite a lot!

High key fave, seems to either nail our shared taste or come out with something I'd usually hate and work it

Ultraviolence very poppy nation, they either send something I totally love it or totally don't care for it.
My fave would be this years winning song 'In The Morning' This post has been edited by Addy K!ng: 30th August 2017, 10:45 PM |

Bøtanikkä have really turned into a fave nation recently! My favourite entries of yours are obviously the 90s dance ones, you have a real ear for a great retro dance track, I think I have loved literally every one of them you've sent *.* but I find myself enjoying your non 90s songs a lot more recently as well. (Also your current entry has already grown on me loads having given it a second listen, I take back my comment on plug xx)
Best entry = Kai Tracid I think. (someone feel free to shade me, my ego was stroked enough by Dandy x) |

Probably one of my favourite countries, always sends something they like rather than chasing hits. They also seem to be on the most part genre-blind in terms of showing affection to songs, my favourite entry by them is The Wandering Songstress one, which I didn't give an 18 to at the time, but it's grown on me massively since then.
And the shade you wanted, that one entry you sent last year, the one that sounded like a four year old playing a piano, that one was shit. x |
