Still by far their best ballad, such a simple song with the best / most relateable lyrics. I still can't get over how incredible 'On Your Radar' was.
I love Get Ready, Get Set but it hasn't aged well for me. Move On U, White Lies, and Faster are still very listenable whereas Get Ready, Get Set burned on me. Probably because I listened to it too much when OYR first came out
I'm currently listening to Wildfire. That will NEVER get old! If only it got the single treatment and we got a remastered version, instrumental, and remixes...
The single that never was from 'On Your Radar'.
They have so many could have been singles that I feel in the Greatest Hits album there should have been a second disc, much like Ten!
Yassss tell'im sis', TELL'HIM.
Since I'm the only mod left with some taste, here's what I'm listening to right now :
Still one of their best.
Frollie parts >> The other three entire vocals. #oops
Rochelle's intro and Frankie middle 8 >>>
The Soundtrack of St Trinians 2! This really should've been released as a 3rd/4th single during the mess that was the Wordshaker era. The video would've slayed too with the girls playing geeks in an American high school and then going crazy dancing on the tables in the classroom or canteen after seeing a boy while transforming back into their hot selves (well that's what I would imagine it to be anyway )
YESSS TIM. Why do they put some of their best songs as bonus tracks/b-sides?
omg someone agrees with me on Move On U
#1 in my love chart tbh
(Altho Move On U was on the standard edition of OYR )
Yassss at your taste.
Nooooo at the fact you've yet to enter the Family Fortune.
I'm really LOVING Missing You right now. Sorry Hurricane
There's a dark cloud (Hurricane) pulling us in.
That's the girl I was bathing in sin.
There's a blind force (Satan) letting it win.
And it's longing to tear us (Missing You and Buzzjack) apart.
Where's the love that Hurricane couldn't ignore
It doesn't kick like a pill anymore
where's the thrill at the end of our fights?
How have I spent so many years shading Fall?! I have it on repeat today. Such a beautiful song, especially the last minute. I can't believe it only just clicked with me a few weeks back.
Reliving that Disco Love... it's so fun... and colourful! Or wait, sounds a bit like gullable?
I'm warming up to Not That Kinda Girl
Slowly gaining taste, I see.
Slowly gaining taste, I see.
Reliving my love for Don't Let Me Dance Alone.
Currently bopping to Problem With Love.
All about dem bonus tracks today: Wildfire, and Move On You
Stop flirting with Jimmy. And it's Ok to like Problem With Love, it has its good moments.
I'm having an Anywhere With You week because I miss my boy but I'm happy and upbeat for Chrissymas! Also a bit of Wildfire, 808 and What About Us on the side.
Anywhere With you
Drunk again. Listening to Problem With Love again.
Cuz you turn me, turn me right here right now, I'm gon move on u when the lights go down, I can work you baby, I'll show you how, I'm gon move on u when the lights go down
Beats are flow oh oh oh owing. When I lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o........
yaaaasss!
Beats are flo-o-owing, looks you're thro-o-owing, got the fire up inside of me-e-ee
Ain't no sto-o-o-ping, when I lo-o-ock in, boy it's on if you can stand the he-e-eat
(regrettably) sober and listening to 30 Days
I would listen to 30 Days drunk, sober, drugged, incapacitated, etc. etc. Jimmy Jam you're perfect.
Zach messT.
Did you hack his acount?
Taking a leaf out of zach's book bottle of wine, listening to 2am and Faster
About to start drinking. What should I listen to this time?
Zach f*** you. 2am is gorgeous!
none
The bridge(s) to Move On U are incredible. And I love that it alternates between Rochelle and Una; there's always a split second before the second bridge where I forget Una's voice is about to sing.
Edit: Also, Wordshaker was a perfect follow-up to Chasing Lights. It sucks the title (and no Rochelle, no one was ever going to Google Wordshaker)/artwork/timing of its campaign tarnished the success it deserved.
'Open Up' is such a pop gem!
Really feeling Puppet and White Lies today
All Fired Up
Higher
I need new material. I've been listening to them less and less
The main songs that I still listen to regularly are Not Giving Up, Disco Love, What About Us, Move On U, Wildfire, What Are You Waiting For?, 30 Days, and White Lies.
A feel ya bitch. I'm getting pretty tired of the singles, because i've been listening to the Greatest Hits loads waiting for new material. Like obvy it's all timeless, but i need some new pop ditties to shake it up. Hopefully in the meantime Mollie (and maybe Una) can provide
I'm suddenly getting my life to Problem With Love.
Those verses of Rochuna are so good.
uh-oh.
Completely jammed to What Are You Waiting For the other day
I'm really feeling WAYWF today as well that and the standards: move on u, turn myself in, anywhere with you, etc
I'm really getting into Do What You Want With me. I take back any criticism i may have fired it's way
Disco Love
What Are You Waiting? :banger:
DISCO Love
Disco Love
Disco Love
Currently have Finest Selection on shuffle and Ego has just started
Eating a pint of ice cream and listening to Disco Love (of which I have none in my life).
What Are You Waiting For is so bleh now in 2016. I remember not really liking it when we first heard a snippet, then I went along when it was released, but I went completely off it after their poor-piss performances and the general generic-ness of the song.
I mean, let's be honest. In terms of production, it's just an inferior Get Ready, Get Set from Xenomania...with a far less proper pop melody. It's supposed to be hooks after hooks, but it just isn't quite that, isn't it?
I kinda wish Xenomania and the girls had resulted into something more...interesting. I'm not even talking about full-on experimental, but I don't know, just something a bit throwback, old-school, chill, I don't know. Think 'Girls Aloud' 'Control of the Knife' for example.
---------------------
Currently listening to 'If This Is Love'. It's so underrated.
Currently listening to 'If This Is Love'. It's so underrated.
I'm listening to Missing You.
missing you in the sun is a must
Sorry La Hurricane, Rochelle is sounding like peak Vanessa in that last chorus, for years I thought it was Vanessa actually !
I do love Missing You, for that very reason queen sounds amazing. The beginning of the Rochelution if you will
I don't even know how you can say that when DURING that chorus, you have Vanessa ad-libbing over her and sounding much stronger than her.
Also screw you, you just made me listen to Missing You

I will happily take the blame.
Listening to Nessa's ep. In a weird kind of mellow kind of way it actually works, The songs are all kind of similar, but nice listening, hearing at as complete unit.Even Relationship Goals. I may have been wrong...again
Listening to 'Lipstick Kisses'. It's chill.
Really living for the Chasing Lights era atm. Up, What Am I Gonna Do, and Vulnerable in particular
You Don't Have The Right Anyone else love this song as much as me?
I guess I love it even more
I was in the pub last night and Not Giving Up (Cahill remix) came on. Still think it might be my favourite of their singles.
Currently listening to Bigger. Mollie's part
Wildfire and Puppet - Mollie's la la la la las are slaying me And obvy my queens Rochelle and Una give me everything I need on Wildfire
I seriously would have adored if their was a video for this, I'm not sure how it would have done in the charts but it's one hell of a catchy song and I'm sure it would have been released had 'Not Giving Up' / Living For The Weekend performed incredibly well in the charts. It's one of the few good songs on a very poor album. It disappoints me that their final studio album (Minus Greatest Hits) they put out such a cheap album considering the producers they were working with.
The I'm comingggggggg home part is still beautiful <3
Up came on shuffle yesterday, absolute pop glory! Made me miss them so much though
I agree about Leave A Light On, would have been the perfect single to round off the LFTW era, it's a shame it never got a release after Not Giving Up, but I get why, with low sales, etc. The frustrating thing about LFTW for me is the highs on it (Disco Love, Not Giving Up) are up there with their best work, and it has other great tracks as well (What About Us, 30 Days, Leave A Light On, Anywhere With You, Wildfire, Lease My Love, maybe even Gentleman on the right day) but the overall cohesion and production of the album is so messy, and I agree, cheap, and it has it's share of such clunkers (DON'T LET ME DANCE ALONE) that it just spoils it completely *sigh*
Yeah, Leave A Light On was the only other viable single choice on LFTW. Well, unless you can count Wildfire. In terms of single choices...
INCRED
Disco Love
Not Giving Up
30 Days
What About Us
Wildfire
GOOD
Leave A Light On
AVERAGE
Don't Let Me Dance Alone
Gentleman
Anywhere With You
Lease My Love
WORTHLESS
Somebody Else's Life
You Don't Have The Right
Problem With Love
It was sad that by the time they released the album we had heard over half of it and the remaining tracks (bar LALO) were all average/worthless.
I've really enjoyed listening to some of the Saturdays mashups I've found on Youtube. My favorite was a mashup between 30 Days & What Makes You Beautiful but it appears as though that one has been taken down
Here are some other good ones:
I made that last one. And I'm going to post another one I made as well. It's not the Sats, but it's probably my favorite mashup!
OMGG! Love that Leona/Sats mash up!!
Heard the I Would/What About Us one before, and I absolutely love it, think I prefer it to the standard version of WAU tbh, it's amazing. I know the 30 Days one as well, really liked that one, shame it's disappeared
Heard the example one as well, i remember first clicking on it thinking i'd probably hate it, because I hate the Example song, but it's bloody amazing as well!
bye bye
Can't stop listening to Missing You today
YESSSSS. While it is of course flawless, I do wish we could get a reworked version with new production.
The sun is shining so I got What Are You Waiting For, Disco Love, and Anywhere With You blasting, eating ice cream #TheLife
Just got back into Walking Through The Desert!
My Heart Takes Over came up on shuffle just a minute ago, honestly cannot comprehend it's under performance and it's been nearly five years
What About Us and Ego made a sneaky appearance at a party the other night and nobody complains, there was a couple of "Oh my God I forgot about this song!" hahaha. I've heard Ego and Higher in bars and restaurants recently as well. Ego still slays me.
Not Giving Up lately, on repeat
All Fired Up, easily their best song in yerms of production, it even has trance influences.
I'M GONNA MOVE ON U, MOVE ON U
Not That Kinda Girl has been my jam lately. I love Fifth Harmony's song of the same name, but it sparked me to go back to the superior one.
What songs have aged well for you all?
The only songs I really listen to regularly now are Not Giving Up, Disco Love, and Move On U.
Currently listening to 30 Days. What an underrated gem. It has such a weird place in their discography but it deserved so much better. I think it would've fared better in Oceania or other parts of Europe had it been released there.
Have had Denial on these last few days as well as the Wordshaker album. I don't know why I've been so critical of the album really - it's actually pretty good when you take out Deeper from the tracklisting.
For Myself. It's amazing how much a song grows on you when you find the lyrics relatable 😂
