On Saturday.

It is the final of the woman's Australian Open between Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.

Who do you think will win this match?

And in how many sets do you think it'll be won by?

Williams. No contest.

(Would love a surprise however).

Serena. Not that anything should be taken for granted in tennis, esp the women's game, but Sharapova is too flakey and her record against Serena will definitely be an unwelcome pressure going into this match.

I reckon Serena can get two more slam titles this year. I would honestly die happy if she broke the record.

Same! Such an outstanding athlete and I've always liked her personality, despite some questionable incidents. (Love Venus more though heart.gif).

I can only really see Williams taking it but it'd be great to see Sharapova manage it too.

Woke up very hungover and caught plenty of this.

Very good game, straight sets 6-3 7-6 doesn't necessarily do Sharapova justice today, but that's all credit to an impressive Serena. Amazing that she still takes such incredible command of the court, 33 years of age and so dominant over all of her competitors. That let at championship point was an absolute KILLER.

As just about my favourite woman in the game, I was supporting Sharapova, but you can hardly not smile when you see a reaction like Serena's.
