Wow, the days a rock song could sell 140k in a week...! 1999 had so much variety at the top of the charts. Westside is my favourite song in that top 10 though, one of my favourite R&B songs ever, really beautiful song.
Rather Be <3 was so impressed by that the first time I heard it. Obviously incredibly overplayed now but still so fantastic and it stood out so much at the time. |

Sigrid Don't Feel Like Crying  4th single from Sucker Punch Released: 18th January 2019 Label: Island Records Video Biography Norwegian pop singer/songwriter Sigrid followed her elder siblings into the music business, signing a major-label deal with Island at just 20 years of age. Born Sigrid Solbakk Raabe on September 5, 1996 into a music-loving family and brought up in the sunny seaport of Ålesund in western Norway, about 300 miles from Oslo, she was the youngest of three siblings, each of whom had their own musical career. Her sister Johanne was a classically trained singer who had studied in Italy and Spain, while her brother Tellef had tasted indie success at home with his own band. Growing up influenced by classic artists like Joni Mitchell, Chet Baker, and Neil Young, she was taught to play the piano at an early age by her grandmother and guitar by her brother, and for ten years was a dancer, studying several different styles. Surprised at how much the Fredo song seems to be bombing (it's set to chart around 60-65) as the #25 'BMT' wasn't even that long ago, plus the AJ Tracey song released the same week is set to comfortably be a top 40 hit.
No big loss though. |

She was featured alongside Dizzee Rascal and Will Heard on two tracks from their second album, 2015's We the Generation, and spent two years touring with the band, playing some of the world's biggest stages and best-known festivals. The summer of that year also saw the release of Anne-Marie's debut EP on Rudimental's then-new record label, Major Tom's. The aptly titled Karate EP featured three tracks and a Chloe Martini remix, and producers Josh Record and Two Inch Punch worked with her on the record. Both the lead single "Karate," a slick fusion of electro-grime and R&B, and the follow-up "Gemini," garnered some very positive reviews and led Anne-Marie to gigging as a solo artist. In early 2016, the single "Do It Right" reached the U.K. charts, and several months later "Alarm" hit the Top 40 in several charts around the world. In 2017, Anne-Marie scored a hit single when she featured on Clean Bandit's multi-platinum "Rockabye" with Sean Paul.
