After the success of the 'Fifty Shades...' predicta, thought I'd do one for the next film that could either be huge, or a big disappointment (box office sales wise at least).

This time it's 'Chappie', which is a film by the guy who gave us the cult classic, 'District 9'!

I'm going to go out on a whim and predict:

£2.2m for the UK
$26.3m for the US

If you don't mind Jonjo I have added a couple of higher options for the American ones smile.gif

Going with
US: $28M (can see this anywhere from 18-30M though)
UK: £1.92M

Yeah that's fine, thank you! I don't know why I started it so low for the US tbh. $1m is a massive bomb for any movie in the US haha.

Changing my American prediction to $22M. The marketing is turning into a mess and it seems like the movie could be very very bad considering the only previews for critics are happening 24 hours before release

For the US I don't have much idea but for the UK I'll say £2.5m, Focus opened with £1.91m this past weekend and I feel this doing a fair bit more so that's all I'm basing my prediction on, I don't have much of a clue.

Think this could end up being pretty crap or maybe surprising me in a similar way to Ex Machina but I'm now intrigued enough to give it a shot. laugh.gif
