Gabrielle - 5FF and Dagny - Wearing Nothing back to back is just a LIT combo. Love seeing Wearing Nothing live and I beyond CANNOT wait to see 5FF live in just over a week

Molly Sandén - Mitt Liv Är Mitt is nice to see here as well! Can't have a Best of Áskorza without the winners after all! Minelli - Rampampam is a welcome edition too, still obsessed with this song.
Little Nikki - Little Nikki Says is a track I discovered when Little Nikki supported the Sugababes at Scala. Not the first time a Sugababes support act has represented the nation either. Laura Critchley, Dragonette, and Gabriella Cilmi were all also Sugababes support acts that we then went on to send. Red Blooded Women are the only one of my first 12 entries I have never seen live  Shame all of Little Nikki's stuff has largely been scrubbed from existence. She really did have some great little tracks. Talking of my first 12 entries, The Fear although it was only a myspace demo called "I Don't Care" back when we entered it way way way back in 2008. So close to my debut win with this, but I cannot begrudge the fabulous Black Butta.

Honestly if I was making a TBO:Áskorza list, there is not one of the songs played so far I would not include. Really really happy thus far Rob, thank you!!!
Envole-Moi remains the absolute favourite of my sporadic journeys to France. Nothing Tal or M Pokora otherwise have done has come even close to clicking in the same way that this did for me. Still cannot believe Karamel - Underwear came 4th It is so trashy in ALLLLLLLLLLL of the best ways.

Jag Kommer another one I am very excited to be seeing live very soon!! Really hype to see her co-headling show with Gabrielle. It is going to be so good! And hopefully get a few BJSC classics from both artists played as well!!!
Alex Roots I do forget about Alex a lot tbh, but this song is soooooo good and it is such a shame she never really took off as Don't Stop Looking is a fab wee track. Howling at the little chat at the end of the music video being included!! Makes me wanna go watch the video now.Sabina Ddumba - Not Too Young is an inclusion I am so happy about!!! What a fabulous track. I really really love songs like this, I am such a simp for a good midtempo with a strong chorus. Still lowkey irritated Albin feat Kirstin Amparo - Din Soldat only came 18th. If it was in English it would have landslided.... It was at one point my most played song of all time, it is currently 2nd (753) behind Freak Like Me (993!) and about to get taken over by Tone Damli and Butterflies (750). Second and most recent winner Sofia by the wonderful Alvaro Soler now. I am still shocked it won tbh. I had mapped out the first contests of the new century with the plan to have a top 5 in CI (Sofia) and then win with Freiheit = Gold in CII (4th - though I still think it deserved to win). Got my predictions the wrong way around but that was the last time I was just so confident in my belief that the track was SO GOOD that it would cut through and smash, even though it was in Spanish and German respectively. |

You know Rob, you really REALLY had me worried that you had playlisted an entire hour of Áskorza without our lord and saviour Tone Damli.
REALLY WORRIED I am not sure which of her 4 not winners but really f***ing should have been winners I would have picked. But I am happy to hear Look Back (5th on my most played list at 723). Though you couldnt have gone wrong with the Tone Damli pick to end on. Butterflies, Pinnacle, and Smash would all have been great choices but I think Look Back is the perfect closer to an hour of Áskorza. I really enjoyed that, thank you Rob!!! Now have a new playlist to jive away to for the next few weeks |

I have no idea why it's taken this long for Emerald Princess to grow on me but I'm finally appreciating what a beauty that entry was! Can't believe I left it out of my vote at the time in retrospect (it was in a pretty strong contest for me but even so I'd put it in my top five from BJSC 113 now), thankfully it won anyway.
