Also the same here. Jump used to be my favourite once but it’s not aged that well really, it would probably be mid tier on the album now

Jump was also dare I say my favourite of the singles but now it's 4th favourite of them! Hasn't aged as well as the others but still adore it!

The thing with 'Jump' is that, out of ALL the songs on the album it sounds the most "basic"/generic or "radio friendly" - well, compared to everything else on the album at least - like, when the album was released, you'd automatically assume it would be a single as it seemed tailor made for radio etc.. whereas production wise and song structure wise there are far more interesting songs on the album... but you just know they would've been riskier as singles choices/wouldn't be as "serviceable" (is that the word - either way I hope you get what I'm at least TRYING to say lmao).
Oh and this isn't really shade, I really like 'Jump'! |
