How I compile my charts:
With a few exceptions, I don't go out of my way to seek out new songs - I usually wait until I hear them on the radio. I mainly listen to Radio 1 and for this reason, most (though not all) songs in my chart are those which are played on Radio 1. I don't usually add a song to my chart until it's started gaining some airplay.
Songs generally tend to climb gradually as they grow on me, peak and then fall fast, so the chart looks similar to an 80s/90s singles chart. I also usually get bored of a song within a few weeks, so songs don't generally tend to hang around the chart for more than a few weeks - typically around 9 or 10 weeks for a Number 1.

Hey Mango!
Liking your whole top five, 'She's Kinda Hot' and 'How Deep Is Your Love' in particular. The latter really clicked with me when listening to the radio in the sun the other day 
. I've a feeling it could soon become one of my favourite ever Calvin tracks, which would be a major achievement given his incredible back catalogue. 
It's good to see Nothing But Thieves' 'Trip Switch' climbing here, especially as it's just been taken off the Radio 1 A List 
. They've been so consistent in terms of the quality of their singles yet have shown a fair bit of variety among them, so it's frustrating that the band's yet to really break through with anything. And I certainly can't claim they haven't had the radio support to do so! :/
The Rita Ora/Chris Brown collab is surprisingly great and another I've been playing a good bit lately. She's always had a strong voice but I think it's the best she's ever sounded on a track for me, and the whole style of it suits her perfectly. A much better direction for her than 'Poison'. <3

She's always had a strong voice but I think it's the best she's ever sounded on a track for me, and the whole style of it suits her perfectly. A much better direction for her than 'Poison'. <3

Yes 'How Deep Is Your Love' definitely sounds better in the sun, it's one of those songs. 'Trip Switch' is brilliant and yes it is a shame bands like that don't do better especially with the big radio support like you say - I'm still convinced that guitar music is due a big comeback soon though!
'Body On Me' is definitely better than I was expecting it to be given that it's a Chris Brown collab, but I'm still not sure I prefer it to 'Poison' - I definitely agree it suits her voice though and she does sound great on it

With a few exceptions, I don't go out of my way to seek out new songs - I usually wait until I hear them on the radio. I mainly listen to Radio 1 and for this reason, most (though not all) songs in my chart are those which are played on Radio 1. I don't usually add a song to my chart until it's started gaining some airplay.
Songs generally tend to climb gradually as they grow on me, peak and then fall fast, so the chart looks similar to an 80s/90s singles chart. I also usually get bored of a song within a few weeks, so songs don't generally tend to hang around the chart for more than a few weeks - typically around 9 or 10 weeks for a Number 1.

Not that massive on Cool for the Summer really, I just much prefer stuff like Heart Attack and Skyscraper whereas this just seems cheaply produced and naff. I'd like it to be a hit though because I love seeing how people can go from being Disney stars to huge stars like Ariana and Miley.
Loving HDIYL, I think it was the perfect time for Calvin to just take a one single break from his usual sound so we can begin to miss it yet absolutely adore his latest single which just sounds so fresh and then we can go back to loving the formula again soon. My favourite parts are when the singer really starts going for it on the 'how deep is your love's, heavenly!
Drag Me Down could well be 1D's best lead single for me now, I'm also very fond of WMYB but DMD sounds so fresh at the moment, thought it was a bit nothingy at first but it's definitely made up for in terms of catchyness, shame about the hiatus/break-up news because their last album was the best they've ever sounded.
I am in LOVE with Jess Glynne's latest single, really wish it was a multiple week number one, especially over the flat Fight Song and boring Ain't Nobody When she belts that middle 8 I fall in love with that voice every time I hear it, at least her album has massive sales which is so pleasing to see yet really shocking, thought it was just luck being featured on all the big hits sort of thing but I guess the public really do like her as an artist, yay!
