I can’t believe we’re about to head into another series! Very excited though, all signs point towards resolving the main issues of Series 11.

Axe these atrocious companions. "Is she going to live, Doc?" Well the show certainly won't with that man from the Chase!!

Well, that was a twist. A better than expected opening episode.

Well I think I preferred that to pretty much everything from last season, it wasn’t great but that twist was certainly unexpected and gives me some hope

Jodi's best episode so far, and by a huge margin over everything but Rosa.

We actually guessed the twist! The last thing anyone needed was a fourth companion laugh.gif and the trust nobody etc bits made us think it would be who they were trusting. Still quite good though, some bits were more cheap parody than they could have been but there was definitely enough there to keep me interested.

Well, consider me satisfied, best episode in a LONG time. It was entertaining and intriguing enough as it was, but that reveal caught me genuinely by surprise! Masterfully covered up if you will~ tongue.gif

I could've done without the James Bond callbacks, it was a little cheesy to me, but given it's in homage, I'll let it slide.

I just hope they can actually conclude it well, the show does have a history of disappointing second parters. I do hope the reveal of that altered reality/whatever is meaningful, it didn't seem to affect Yaz at all when she came back from it.

That was SO SO good!! I was gripped throughout, the plot felt tight and well paced, all of the companions actually felt like they had a worthwhile part in the story (notably Yaz for a change!!!) and that T W I S T !!!!!! I knew something would happen to O because like Dandy said, he'd surely have travelled with the Doctor after the episode, so something would've had to go wrong, but I really did not see this. Cannot WAIT for Sunday!!

Fantastic episode!

Loved the references to UNIT and Torchwood - I really hope they bring those back, wonder what Osgood is up to?

Well that was certainly much better than expected! It was really exciting, I hope they can keep this up. Last series seemed ok to start with but fell flat, I hope this won’t go the same way. It was much better than last year’s opener as well.

omg that was certainly epic, incredible locations and high stakes! Will post full thoughts later but oops I already kinda knew the twist as I’d seen rumours of Sacha playing The Master a few months ago. Still expertly played though and it made the change in personality all the better as I had been doubting how he could pull of the role when he was being O but he was brilliant in that little moment at the end!

I LOVE the ‘new’ TARDIS too. The alterations make it look so much better than it did in Series 11, for a starter the lighting works so well, so you can actually SEE what is going on.

Fantastic opener, thoroughly enjoyed it, fast paced, and the plot was easy to follow, and that twist in the end, but I cottoned on earlier that Sacha was the Master. Looking forward to Sundays episode to see where it goes.

Loved that episode! Really on-your-toes scary stuff that we've really been missing from the last series, a really good twist and a cliffhanger that actually makes me want to watch the next one ohmy.gif Keep it up guys and let's avoid any talking frogs in this series wink.gif

4.9m last night, the second highest of the night only slightly below Emmerdale (5m). Dracula only got 3.57m! ohmy.gif

Not sure where all the New Year’s Day viewers have gone! Whilst prestigious in ‘name’, I did find it odd to launch it last night after Resolution got one of the lower rated figures of Series 11 and it makes it all the more awkward that it’s Part 1 of 2!

Still I’m positive it will climb on Sunday and still a very solid figure in perspective, and which will certainly grow by 2-3m in final ratings.

It should have started on Xmas Day tbh for higher figures.

I still think the inside of the Tardis looks atrocious. Bradley Walsh HAS to go. I thought they killed Jaz at first tbh! They cannot have 3 companions, and especially when one is Bradley Walsh.

The inside isn’t the best version of the TARDIS but the changes they’ve made for this series make it a massive upgrade from the one in Series 11. Particularly the space and the lighting!
