With multiple artists announcing that their album releases are being postponed, do you think Gaga will do the same?

I don’t know about the album itself being postponed. The theme of the album is very much in a way similar to what’s happening rn and I don’t think it’ll affect Gaga much sales wise if she goes ahead with the release. Strong week one and likely good streams from word of mouth, stans etc.
I can see the album going ahead as planned but perhaps a date change for the Chromatica Ball tour dates? Edit: hmm tbh week one sales aside like existing pre orders will count won’t they even if the CD may not arrive in that week? I’m torn on what I want. She could easily release later in year but suffer fate of momentum being lost then come up against someone who’s a bigger threat than Gerry Cinnamon. I think we’re safe for album still being released then. If anything (maybe this is me being hopeful) but it could lead to a more drawn out campaign if the promo etc takes place months after release. I'm not sure what is happening but Twitter is suggesting a possible delay?

I’m not really sure, most events etc are being postponed to September/October time which I think is too far away (and after the current tour dates), but a delay of a month might not be enough cause the situation might be the exact same then
I’m torn on whether I want it to be delayed cause I want it to get the best sales possible but also I wanna hear it!! Delaying it will make leaks extremely likely as well though |

Well The Weeknd album came out as planned and Dua Lipa just announced a new single... I’d argue Gaga has a more loyal fanbase than those too. She’ll easily sell more paid downloads in week one as they’re both artists who rely more on streams. And her pre orders for physicals I imagine are strong for the current climate. Gaga hopefully will go ahead as there’s more leaks happening as well so best to stick with the release as planned. This post has been edited by Jordan Lee: Mar 20 2020, 07:31 PM |

Pearl Jam and 5 Seconds of Summer are releasing on 27th. If they don't get cancelled/postponed, Gaga has no reason either.

Gerry Cinnamon (her only competition) for albums #1 has also pushed back by one week.
Pls stick with the 10th Gaga. |

I am starting to think it will be postponed She will want the physical out too and the multiple formats along with it.
Hopefully she uses the "i just want my fans to listen while quarantining" card and releases it </3 |

The album is about making the world be happy, being kind etc. I remember her saying it’s dancing through the pain.. it’s likely it’s actually the perfect time to release it if anything.
I think the albums bigger than one week. Like the formats people have ordered will count to week one won’t they? I really hope we get it as planned! Like this album is more long term I think. Possibly Rihanna’s ANTI is an example of how I imagine the label want the album to perform like in the USA. Just imagine if it gets pushed back and we really do have the chart battle with Gerry or someone else. This post has been edited by Jordan Lee: Mar 20 2020, 09:23 PM |

If Gaga gets her way it'll come as planned, but her label may have the power to delay it.

I think it should still go ahead. Everything else is being shut. We need something to look forward to!

I don't really get why albums would be postponed anyway, I get that it might interfere with physical sales or supply chain but if we're all stuck indoors what else is there really to do but consume media? I feel like the label will just think of the supply chain and physical sales and stuff but Gaga will want to give her fans something, I'm hoping that Gaga is the kind of artist who'd big enough to just do what she wants and it isn't necessarily about sales or commercial success. Of course it would have been nice for this era to go ahead smoothly and be huge but if it just comes out and gets us through a tough couple of months, it's hardly gonna ruin her career if it's not a huge era?

I get anxious as f*** whenever there's a new response to this thread because I'm expecting somebody to be replying with news it has been officially postponed. Just me?!
