Commentary


Well done to Nelly Furtado this week, as she holds onto the Top spot for the second week running with ‘All Good things (Come To An End)’. Similar well dones to Beyonce who reaches a new peak of 2 with the lovely ‘Irreplacable’. Take That cling onto the Top 3 at 3, and the highest new entry this week is from the amazing Booty Luv with ‘Boogie 2Nite, a classy little dance number that invades your head! The Scissor Sisters rise to 5 with ‘Land Of A Thousand Words, Snow Patrol and The Feeling both drop 2 places to 6 and 7, and the ‘charming’ Amy Winehouse stays at 8. Jamelia rises to 9 with the ‘Personal Jesus’ sampling ‘Beware Of The Dog’ and finally in the Top 10, Christina drops to 10.

Outside of the top 10, there are new entries for The Fratellis with the brilliant ‘Whistle For The Choir’ at 11, the new James Bond theme, ‘You Know My Name’ From Chris Cornell at 14, ‘I Can’t Come Down’ from Embrace at 16 and finally in the top 20, Gwen Stefani is back at 19 with the ‘Lonely Goatheard’ sampling ‘Wind It Up’. On a footnote, Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’ rises to a place at 20, in its 21st week on my chart!

Finally for this week, Cascada enter at 27 with a cover of Savage Garden’s ‘Truly Madly Deeply’ and The Feeling rise at 29 with ‘Never Be Lonely’, in its 18th week on Jester’s Top Tunes.
