6. Keane - Under The Iron Sea
Best Single: Nothing In My Way Best Album Track: Atlantic ^ Nothing In My Way Video The follow up to the mega selling Hopes and Fears, I guess this was destined to be a disappointment even before it was released. It's actually a really good album, with tracks like Atlantic, The Frog Prince, Nothing In My Way and Broken Toy making it all worth it. Crystal Ball and Is It Any Wonder are still pants though |

5. Embrace - This New Day
Best Single: Target Best Album Track: Exploding Machines ^ Target Video In a word, athemic! This epic album from Embrace showcases their widescren indie style perfectly. Exploding Machines is such a good album track, and the whole album is in the same groove. Luckily, that awful football song isn't on the album. |

Kasabian - Empire - Another Band i was surprised i liked Very Good indeed
Keane - Under The Iron Sea - Great Band! This is still a great album, Atlantic and Bad Dream being my faves, but isnt a patch on Hopes And Fears Still. Embrace - This New Day - I really dont like Embrace . I Thought nature's Law was ok, but apart from that i find them Dire |

4. Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere
Best Single: Smiley Faces Best Album Track: Just A Thought ^ Smiley Faces Video A suprisingly good album from the vocal talents of Cee Lo and the knob twiddling of Danger Mouse. |

3. Scissor Sisters - Ta Dah
Best Single: I Don't Feel Like Dancin' Best Album Track: Lights ^ IDFLD Video For a while, this was my favourite album of the year, but on closer listening, it was eventually pushed down to 3. An excellent follow up album, however, and more solid and consistent than their debut. |

2. The Feeling - Twelve Stops And Home
Best Single: Never Be Lonely Best Album Track: Strange ^ Never Be Lonely (Charlotte Church Show) The amazing debut album from the ELO tinged Feeling. All of their singles have peaked at #2 in my personal chart, and long runner and classic Never Be Lonely was the sound of summer for me. |

1. Snow Patrol - Eyes Open
Best Single: Chasing Cars Best Album Track: Make This Go On Forever ^ Set The Fire To The Third Bar Video Completing the double for me, the biggest selling album of the year is also the best, imo. Containing the classic Chasing Cars, the beautiful Set The Fire To The Third Bar, and the sublime You're All I Have, this album won out by a long way. |

Hey Matt!!! Two amazing charts with the albums and singles. I could be all night here listing my faves but they're too many to mention.
Still no The Killers which hurt my feelings, but anyways, amazing lists, you have a great music taste! |
