Fat Dog just released their 2nd single. They recently signed to Domino Records and are quickly rising in popularity. Listen now:

I interviewed them a few months ago, strange bunch but very good live. I’m not sure I can see them getting that popular though.

It's crazy that Fat Dog made 3 of the best songs of 2023 despite only releasing 1 song.

'King Of The Slugs' is incredible, need to check the new song out but if it's anywhere close to the same quality these guys are definitely a contender to be one of the best in the weirdo post-punk-art-rock-whatever scene.
(I'd recommend anyone who likes this and someone hasn't already heard it to also check out the most recent Viagra Boys album x) |

An album coming? I believe that an album is on the way fairly soon. They've been recording with James Ford. “King of the Slugs” is a VERY bold move as a debut single, but I do love the frequent changes of pace and energy throughout, and the klezmer/Jewish folk sounds give it a really unique and interesting feel for a Post-Punk track. Everytime it comes on my iPod I feel a huge boost of energy. |

Heard the new one at the end of Clara's show tonight on Radio 1. It's such a huge sounding track, I'm hooked already

'King of the Slugs' in all its unhinged glory was always going to be difficult to follow-up but I'm liking the more cooled down synthy pivot all the same ()

I'm not sure how King of the Slugs didn't immediately click with me when it was sent to BJSC... however I'm now fully on board with them, really like all 3 singles

Back to pretty wild energy again on 'Running', what a banger indeed 3/3 for greatness so far, can't wait for the album!
