BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ which single will take the #1 spot from Drake?

Posted by: danG 25th May 2016, 03:55 PM

Drake's had a long dance at #1 but that will come to an end soon. Who will replace him (if he doesn't replace himself)?

It seemed that JT was going to be the next #1 but I'm now thinking the boat's sailed for him and gnash will overtake in 2 weeks [I also think gnash will get at least 4 weeks at #1, it's just a song waiting to be huge].

This is a tough one, I love gnash and Kungs tracks, I also agree Justin has missed his chance, I think gnash will take it for a week or 2, with Kungs taken over once the track breaks out.

Drake's track with Rihanna will probably be overshadowed with One Chance still in the top end of the top 5. It be funny if Rihanna goes to #1 when she couldn't do it with Calvin (no innuendos please) biggrin.gif

I wouldn't be so sure the boat has sailed for Justin Timberlake, he remains comfortably on top of iTunes and has an increasing stream %. I thought he would overtake this week and indeed sold more on Monday and is only 400 copies behind at the moment.

probably something we haven’t heard yet, but from the options above i'd say drake self-replacement is the most likely judging by justin bieber’s dominance at the end of last year~

Depending on how good it sounds, Naughty Boy's new Ellie Goulding collaboration could snatch it.

A completely new song we haven't yet heard tongue.gif

Of those contenders definitely Gnash is the favourite, will have immense streaming when it's on top form just like Lukas Graham.

you can still vote in this!!

(had no idea Drake would still be #1 a month after I created the topic laugh.gif)

Seems very likely the next #1 will be Kungs, but it's very possible that Drake could still be #1 for an 11th week...

dance.gif at being one of two to say Kungs. Still think it'll be him, although in a few weeks.

I don't think any of the above songs will cut it.

I think it's going to take a fresh new single from a stand out artist which is announced on the day of release.

I think it could be Adele's new track next but I would still like a Kungs #1

I'm thinking maybe Drake could replace himself at the top with 'Too Good', especially if that gets a music video in the near future. That Major Lazer/Justin Bieber/MØ track has a very good shot if it lands soon

Too Good looks like it could do it especially as radio 1 support only began this week!

Drake will replace himself at the top - Would love Adele to have sneaked in a week though!

What did we ever do to Canada? What did we do to deserve Nickelback, Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Bryan Adams, Shawn Mendes and Drake?
