I can see her flopping tbh, no-one cares anymore, but I personally will be interested to hear new music from her again. Rockferry remains one of my favourite albums.

Omg is this finally happening?
I love Duffy, even Endlessly, and I thought we’d never hear from her again. Whatever comes will flop commercially but I don’t care. |

omg it's baffling to think she was more successful than Adele during their first album eras!

I can see her more than flopping, I'd be surprised if anything charts in any capacity. It'll be nice to hear from her again though, almost a decade later! |

Her first album was great but her second was rubbish so this will be interesting... Also she's left it way too long she is going to bomb.

Mercy/Warwick Avenue/Rockferry remain cracking songs - I think her debut was better than Adele's.
The follow up though - bloody awful. |

Duffy's mistake was to part company with Bernard Butler. It all went downhill when she stopped working with him. If she's collaborating with him again, it'll be gold.

I agree her debut was much stronger than Adele's debut, I adore Stepping Stone too However Adele's follow up blew Duffy's debut (and that terrible follow up) out of the water |

Petition for a 2020 version of this though:
PS You're all wrong on the 2008 soulful pop diva front. Gabriella Cilmi's first album was the tits (if forever defined by 'Sweet About Me' alone). |

Im here for this.
Rock ferry was one of my favourite albums of the 00s decade and is still something I listen to now. Her second album was a bit meh I personally feel the bike advert was the beginning of her downfall. I can see Dido like success for her if she gets it right. (Like the success Dido had in 2019. Possible top 3 peak). |

She will get radio 2 support alright but can't see anything more than a quick top 10 album than falling away in week two.

Excited for this, though I’m not expecting it to do much.
Rockferry is still one of my favourite albums, even the deluxe tracks and b-sides are great. I enjoyed Endlessly on release but it definitely fell short of the mark to what I think we expected. Hopefully she can come back strong. |
