The Netherlands have really put on a fantastic show, the best in a LONG time imo, and in the circumstances they had to do it, bravo!

Im excited to see what they have in store for the interval on Saturday!! I don’t think it’ll be Petra Mede levels of excellence, but honestly what is? That’s not me trying to talk down the Netherlands at all though. This is the best non-Swedish hosting that I’ve experienced in the 11 ESCs I’ve seriously followed. They’ve done a great job and I’m so impressed by Nikkie in particular, she’s a complete natural at this, I can see her having a very long career in TV hosting if that is a career move that appeals to her.

Ya I think the Netherlands are hosting brilliantly on all aspects, I think it would be even more spectacular if there was no covid.

I can't see past a top 3 of France/Italy/Ukraine in some order right now - and I'd be ecstatic with any of those so please hold true.
dark horse top 10 will be Portugal. |

17th would be awful for Cyprus, il be disappointed if it's any lower than top 10.

France are definitely winning the jury, televote I'm leaning towards Ukraine doing a Keiino and the jury kinda tanking them. Italy will do well with both, I have faith that they will break the rock curse with the jury.

Iceland are winning, I'm now convinced (and at peace - sure the song isn't in my top 10, but for me it's preferable to any of Italy, Ukraine or Switzerland). It's the song I can most see doing really strongly on both the jury and the televote, even if France win the jury and SenQUEEN tops the public vote.

God please A N Y T H I N G but Iceland, literally anything No disrespect to Dadi but I think the song is AWFUL and not only after 2 years of waiting for this final, but also in a year where it's so wide open with so many great contenders to have.... that.

Trying to think back to the last time it was this open in terms of winning contenders on the day of the final, maybe 2011?
Euphoria, Only Teardrops, Heroes and Arcade were clear favourites by now, Rise Like a Phoenix and Amar Pelos Dois had zoomed up the odds since rehearsals, Toy was in a close battle with Fuego, and 1944...well, that was a bit of a surprise as it was all about Russia v Australia but they were definitely expected to do very well. And last year had it happened looked on course for an easy Iceland win bar any surprises. I really have no idea this time, I’m sad not to be at the contest itself (having attended from 2016-19) but still looking forward to it and I’m hoping to be there again in 2022! |

This is such an incredibly difficult year to call among the top group that it feels like the one that actually wins will be almost at random. Gun to my head I'd put the top 10 as:
01 Italy 02 Malta 03 Iceland 04 Switzerland 05 Ukraine 06 Cyprus 07 Lithuania 08 France 09 Sweden 10 San Marino Key things, I can see France being a flop on the televote and Ukraine being KEiiNO'd by the juries. I have Italy taking it at the moment but as the old rule goes "the jury or the televote, Italy never wins both!" so there could be enough nixing of their points to make them slip into 2nd place behind Malta who I don't see as completely out of the race as some people do. But as usual, I'll be totally wrong! |

My concern is that the last time I can remember having a contest where so much was in contention for a win, Eli and f***ing Nikki won it with their crime against humanity. Only good thing that came from that was Linda Woodruff. |
