Spice Girls announce reunion

Source: Music Week
Iconic popstars The Spice Girls have finally put paid to months of speculation, confirming today that they are to reunite with a world tour, a documentary and a greatest hits CD.
In one of the least surprising announcements to hit the music industry in recent years, the girl group this morning told more than 400 of the world's press, who had gathered at London's O2 arena, their plans for an 11-date world tour, which will include a London show on December 15.
In addition, The Spice Girls will be making their first official documentary for TV broadcast around the world with director Bob Smeaton (Beatles Anthology, Who’s Next).
EMI Music UK will be releasing the group's greatest hits album in November 2007 worldwide. EMI Music UK chairman and CEO Tony Wadsworth says, “The Spice Girls were a unique phenomenon and a great instance of UK pop music taking over the world. It’s great to have them back.”
Ticket registration for the group's shows will be through www.thespicegirls.com.

Spice Girls planning telly extravaganza
By ANI
Saturday June 30, 02:22 PM
London, June 30 (ANI): After announcing their reunion tour, the Spice Girls are now planning a TV show filmed in eight countries at once.
The vivacious five, who announced their reunion by confirming an 11-city tour, plan to sing before a celeb audience, just like in ITV's An Audience With . . . series, throughout their comeback.
The celebs will be present in eight cities from New York to Sydney, and will shoot questions at the all-girl band.
The ITV show will be shot in one of the 11 cities lined up for the band's comeback tour.
The star-studded audience may include Elton John and Robbie Williams in London, and P Diddy and Mariah Carey in the US.
"There is huge demand for them across the world so it makes sense to do something with a global feel," The Sun quoted a source, as saying. (ANI)
sounds good!

Spice Girls to add more dates to tour?
Monday, July 23 2007, 10:53 BST
Digitalspy.com By Daniel Kilkelly
Simon Fuller wants the Spice Girls to add another 25 dates to their reunion tour, according to a report today.
The group's manager is expected to try and get the girls on board at secret meetings this week, promising that they will earn far more than their original £10m deals if they agree to perform at more concerts.
Although Geri, Mel B, Victoria and soon-to-be mum Emma have families to consider, Fuller believes that the girls will agree because they have been touched by the huge demand for tickets.
A source told The Mirror: "It's going to be a huge commitment for the girls, who are extremely devoted to their families. But they are overwhelmed by the world-wide response from their fans and don't want to let them down."
If true are you pleased by this news?
Spices may double world tour
PA Entertainment
The Spice Girls are apparently in talks to double their world tour to 50 dates.
The band's website has been bombarded by fans hoping to see the girls reunited on tour, but extra dates could be difficult for the family-focussed fivesome.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "The girls really want to do a huge tour but they're worried about how much time they'll be able to commit to it because of their families.
"It's tricky for Victoria as she has three kids about to enrol in a new school and Mel B's daughter Phoenix would struggle with the schedule, too, as she's also of school age.
"It's not going to be easy for Geri and soon-to-be mum Emma travelling with their tots either. Mel C has her solo career to consider, too, so they'll have to get her on board..."
So far the girls have gigs on 11 dates, starting at London's 02 arena in December, with another 14 being finalised.
really hope they do, and i hope they arent all 'pick of the draw' tickets
Surely Victoria's and Mel B's kids would already be in school from September, so a December onward tour isn't a problem in term of enrolment
i woul dthink that also but im sure she will have babysiiters and afford tp pay them also
i agree with feel the fever
they've added another American date
how about the home fans who made them Don't we count yet
We need more UK dates please weasey
well they better add a few in UK, or at least 1
Spice Girls unveil new look
PA Entertainment
The Spices have a new look
The Spice Girls have unveiled a new grown-up look as they announced extra dates for their reunion tour.
Instead of kicking-off in Los Angeles, Victoria Beckham's glitzy new hometown in California, the band will play their first comeback concert in Vancouver, Canada.
Three new dates were announced as the latest picture of the band showed that Sporty, Ginger, Posh, Baby and Scary's trademark dress codes have been dropped for a more sophisticated image.
But none of the extra concerts are on home turf, meaning that, so far, the band are still only playing one UK date, in London, in December.
The band announced new concerts in San Jose, California, and Shanghai, China.
The LA concert will now be their third performance on the 14-night extravaganza of six continents.
The Spice Girls - who split six years ago after one album without Geri Halliwell who quit the band in dramatic fashion in 1998 - sold 55 million albums and had nine UK number one singles in their heyday.
The five are now all in their 30s and have six children between them.
Since launching their reunion tour last month, three million people - who can buy up to six tickets each - have registered to see the band.
Fans can also vote for the money-spinning tour to come to their hometown.
The band said: "We have just found out that we've had over three million ticket requests on the website. As our own VB (Victoria Beckham) would say, that is 'major'!"
1 date in the UK?
Thats a joke, right?
If they don't add more than one UK date, they deserve to FLOP when they comeback... they were most successful here and they are turning their backs on the uk
i hope they add another Australian date, coz i live in melbourne and the shows in sydney....
and as some have said in here, they should add another london show... they are English after all!
but i'm excited that they're touring.... but i dont really like this "pick of the draw" thing with tix!
i think many many dates will be added all round
It's obvious they will a load of UK shows. They will more than likely close their tour in the UK
I hope they announce all UK dates before tickets go on sale. I can only go to one show, so I need to make sure I choose the best one ---- if they do their last date in London, then I want to go for that one, rather than December 15th show.
A world tour AND since it's a reuniun tour should require at least 30 dates.
compare it to the SpiceWorld tour it's tiny, and that was mostly stadiums too
I can't see why the 02 arena is so great, when there's the chance for 62,000+ in Wembley
tghis will prob make more money though even if its shorter
mmm i'm not too fussed bout the venue in sydney......
its at acer arena,a nd its like 20,000 i think... there's other venues in sydney and even in melbourne that hold more... when robbie was at telstra dome he had 66,500 people.....
so yeah i thought a WORLD tour/REUNION tour'd have at least 25+ dates!
Do you think they'll be at this year's VMAs??? myv are trying to get spice girlsat this years vma
i hope they suceed.Or maybe only posh spice &scary spice will be there.
I do believe that The Spice Girls are doing a special, exclusive performance on Loose Women this week either on Wednesday or Thursday as if you have Sky and press the I button for Loose Women on Wednesday or Thursday (sorry can't remember which one) then it says a special performance from a recently reformed world famous group (or something along those lines) and the only group who fit that bill are The Spice Girls.
but isn't Emma about to drop a baby? I'm not getting any hopes up. They have no reason to be performing together yet anyway. The GH is 3 months away along with the more than likely CIN single.
could be backstreet boys? lol
i cant see them performing with emma having the baby shortly. i shall be watching just in case though
could be possible, its in sept aint it? which would be when they start to promote i would think
It would be great if they did
They could be there as a foursome without emma BUT more than likely the management have told them that they can't do interviews etc if all five of them aren't there as it would generate speculation etc
hmmmmm....
could b good! coz on pay tv over here they show hepasa overseas awards shows...
i hope they accept mtv invite but it may not happen with emma's pregnancy
maybe she should stay home and take it easy.
maybe the other 4 may do it
It is the Nolans preforming not the spice girls
What a big disappointment. They are hardly big anymore and they are only performing on it cos one of the main panelists is the dreadful Coleen Nolan.
is what i think really, nolans are nothings anymore, i do like Coleen though
who are the Nolans?
Don't knock the Nolans - they were the first act managed by Louis Walsh who became successful in the UK.
So no doubt he would argue how much more talented they are than the Spice Girls (like he does about Girls Aloud).
Fecking Ediot.
woooooooooooooo
LONDON (AFP) - Tickets for the Spice Girls' comeback concert in London sold out in just 38 seconds, the show's organisers announced on Monday.
Demand was so overwhelming -- more than one million people in Britain registered for the sole London show -- that organisers added three more London dates to the tour.
The five original Spice Girls -- Scary, Sporty, Ginger, Posh and Baby -- will kick off their worldwide reunion tour on December 2 in Vancouver, their first since Geri Halliwell quit in May 1998, with a December 15 concert scheduled at London's O2 arena.
Organisers added London concerts on December 16 and 18 and January 2 to the tour.
The group, made up of Halliwell, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm, will also perform in San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Cologne, Madrid, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney and Cape Town before ending at Buenos Aires on January 24, 2008
The Spice Girls sold over 50 million records worldwide and scored nine British number one singles, including "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life".
They announced they were reforming for a comeback tour in June but have denied the move is financially motivated.
-Yahoo News
they sold out quick but have added loads of new dates
The first one didn't really sell out in 38 seconds cuz you could still buy them half an hour or so after. I think all the tickets were allocated after 38 seconds, but not everyone chose to buy what TM came up with for them. If that makes sense. The tickets were all allocated but not sold.
Tomorrow morning Mel C will be on Radio 1 breakfast show sometime between 7am-10am and Geri will be on GMTV!!
OHHHHH!!
I will be listening/watching
Yeah I will have radio 1 on and the TV will be on mute in case Geri comes on !
I hope Mel's there to promote This Time.
Mel will be on the phone rather than in the studio according to her website.
Omg I hope I wake up in time!
Although im sure all the information they say will be on here anyway hehe
Radio 1 has the listen again feature anyway ! And Geri on GMTV is bound to be on youtube!
looks like the promotion tool is kicking in
I think they may announce new dates for saturday - maybe other UK dates apart from London?
yes that may well happen,i wonder when they will do there group interviews
oh can't believe i missed Geri on GMTV.
Spice Girls lease Boeing 757
Lmao! thats brilliant! haha.
They won't need the airplanes much to get around London though !
LOOks like money is no problem on this tour
well its no shock it was made up i must say
i bet they were shocked and relieved and happy at the same time
i neve rexpected all saints comeback to behuge but i didnt expect such a flop either, again with take that i thought they might do well but never expected them to be huge again and im glad take that did well as they are a great band
i feel spice girls album and single will sell huge if thhe tour is anything to go by
Actually thats very true
even if I did buy the all saints single last year and their comeback album lol
Maybe All Saints should support the girls at the tour! It'd be the ultimate humiliation for them!
It's obviously silly season right now with SG stories in the press!
Well its all press so at least their making the headlines.
oOoh ill have to find a way of seeing this.
how about giving us UK people something on TV, although admittedly it would seem so wrong seeing them on something like Paul O'Grady
hopefully a live linkup from The O2 on The X Factor final or SCD would be better
We get the BBC documentary and CIN performance!!!!!!
and we get a Spice Girls tescos commercial lol
That sounds like it could be quite cool! Although I thought the SG were above staring in Tesco ads !
lol
Well one things for sure Tesco have done well - it will give them alot of press
I hope the first performance they do will be in UK!
sure this will be fun lol
all things spice eh!!!i wonde rwill a live dvd of one of the concerts been released
OK, first, is it true that Spice Girls have announced tour dates in Manchester?
second and third, when are the dates and roughly how much will the tickets be?
I was gutted when i found out spice girls were touring but were only doing london gigs, now i've found out they might be coming to manchester i'm a bit like this >
apparently Melanie C confirmed it on Key103 today, for the 23rd/24th January.
I'm a bit as it would be closer, but very as I'm going to the first Uk date
nooooo thats on wed & thurs and i work then my boss doesnt like me and i'm not sure when my holidays start again, ah well, i guess i can phone in sick, i'll just not mention it to anyone at work that i'm going
i take it u are going regardless
Manchester would have been better for me, but I've got 3rd row tickets for London and I wouldn't want to give them up so I'd rather travel that little bit further!
Glad all those who couldn't get to London can go now though. xxx
ur so lucky to be getting to see them regardless of the venue,i bet u are gonna have the time of your life at the shows
I think this is crazy
its suppose to be exclusive and now theres like 50 dates
i want A scottish date, not many just 1
Im gonna hopefully be gettin 2 tickets for manchester I SO HOPE I get them
Why did the BINTS wait!
It would have been so much better for me, to go to Manchester
well at least she is been honest, but im sure the few millions she makes from this spice girls short re union will help her a long way with her solo projects as she can put the cash into her own record company
TBH we kinda all knew she was against it. She seems to be enjoying it now though!
Well she's always said she'd been against the idea....not really new information.
ya thats true i was surprised when i heard it was confirmed but surprised in a happy way
ya thats true i was surprised when i heard it was confirmed but surprised in a happy way
doesnt really suprise me that she didnt want to do it originally.
How could you not want to do it - all the money they must be making lol
id say mel c feared her health would suffer again and no money is worth that
I can't see Mel C doing that
Time will tell though
I don't believe it lol
If thats true then lol.. Its a shame im not going
I cant imagine Posh doing this though
I really don't think it's true.
Such a shame they have to stoop to such tackless actions.
I cannot see them doing it especially mel c
I wouldn't want to see them doing this cuz I really just think it would look embaressing !
Miss out on what? Money...?
All of the girls said they are definitely not doing a Take That and this is a one-time last salute to their fans. I highly doubt there will be anything more from them collectively, expect more flop solo attempts though.
I think she did it for the money, they should have done it without her.
Melanie did not do it for the money. It's well-publicised that she's the richest Spice Girl after Victoria; she's said herself on TV interviews that she's very well off. And as a side point, I don't know how This Time could've been a minor success - absolutely nowhere is stocking it!
mel def isnt money hungry and if mel c wasnt part of the re union i for one would have far far less interest in there return, all 5 are needed for thr re union other wise it wouldnt work
yes i agree and make them look desperate also
Now that would be something.
Your probably all right, its just me being bitter because i dont like her lol!
I don't know how anyone could dislike Melanie She's the strongest Spice vocally, and she's absolutely lovely.
She can be a bit of a b**ch, but then I think ALL the Spice Girls can - except Emma
they all can be lol
I've seen 'This Time' single in all 3 music shops (2 HMVs and 1 Virgin) I've been in this week!! So it is being stocked. I even bought 1 lol!
BTW there is a mistake ont the single - it has the album version on 'Understand' instead of the remix (for the b-side). So on Melaniec.net you can download the remix for free:
http://www.melaniec.net/audio/MelanieC_Understand_HagueMix.mp3.zip
(This download link it legal from official site - so no need to remove )!!!!
Well lucky for you living somewhere where they chose to stock it I'm being honest when I say nowhere in Manchester had it.
My God, how old are they now, I hope their bones will be up to the task.
funny!!!!posh may snap if she poll dances the wrong way
i had to order mine online as none of my local shops have it
Mwhuhaha, snap goes the twig.
Well she's hardly making millions now, is she?
Haha true, i do think she should have released this earlier though when radio and the music channels were willing to give it a chance, its better than the previous two released.
shes making enough to keep her record company happy though
shes just said on Graham Norton on bbc 2 that she never said she didnt want a reunion just that she was vary of it
Mel C`has said they are doing pole dancing on their tour - she said this on Graham Norton bbc 2 show today
she also said....they are going naked
Mel C is a guest on the ONE Show BBC1 Now
Why is she the only one promoting the girls!
Posh hasnt done anything lol
Poor Mel C Had to give that man a kiss lol
Mel C has said that they are trying to go as "GREEN" as possible for the tour.
They will only be driven around in Biodiesel fuelled cars for example!
Mel C has also said her last 3 albums were carbon nuterual and that she drives an eco friendly car and even owns a forest in Mosambque
Eeeeeeeeek at the tarantula!!!!!!!!!!
Yes wasnt she brave I bet she had no idea she was going to do that until they sprang it on her!
good sport though well done Melanie C
iwonder has the single any chance of top 75
mel c is really doing alot of promo work for the group and i was sure that may help her own single do better
Yeah her new song is quite good too!
I would like to see Posh doing some advertising for the girls - would be funny
cant see it happening though lol
IVE GOT TICKETS FOR MANCHESTER YEY
im sure they are well sold out also
I'm sure this is made up. They wouldn't have let her do it at all if they weren't sure they could fit rehersals around it.
yes u can be sure its about 3 % true
3%? How random.
Probably not true... like people have said, they knew it would interfere with rehearsal times when they let her do it surely, so they must have a way round it. It probably is a strain but I'm sure they can cope
They were on sale under an hour ago
No point in waiting around for tickets
they probably will sell out any minute
we all knew she was against it. but i cannot see how she could say no to this-giving the fans one last treat. if i were her i would definitely say no to a new album like take that because the spice girls are so legendary and i'm no sure, if they tried something new it would work-look at forever.
Cancellation?
I might go!
I doubt theres any truth in it.
i think everyones obsessed with trying to make the reunion c**p to be honest.
Yeah - but we all know it will be AMAZING!
Once in a lifetime thing i think!
News of the World again are useless.
Exactly how many dates are in LONDON?
bless them!
Good luck to Geri, tbh I see nothing wrong with her voice I love it.
I reckon she's gonna sound fab, throughout her career she has always sought to improve her delivery and it will pay off
Well that's good she's working on it; you can tell she does have a bit of a smoker's voice after all this time.
No one is going to expect Geri's voice to be great! It really doesn't matter I don't think! People know how she sounds.
I think Geri has a nice voice - i liked all her solo songs
i never heard he rsing a solo track live
Personally Geri's is my least favourite voice and I'm not a big fan of it. But I am happy to hear her sing on the tour, however good or bad she sounds!
Geri adds that spice girls sound to the songs I think
wasn't Geri like always 1st and 2nd in the poll of favourite Spice Girl 10 years ago in all those Smash Hits magazine polls with 30 odd per cent.
Ha
well shes lovely!
Matt I love your title "this isnt a custom member title its an m&s title" haaaaaa ha
She definitely did give the songs alot of their trademark "Spice Girls" sound, but her voice just isn't the same now.
If you compare "Headlines" and her recent solo stuff with the early Spice Girls songs and her first album, you'll hear the unfortunate effect that smoking 20 a day has had on her voice.
It's a warning to us all! It's a shame she won't be able to replicate her voice 10 years ago on the tour.
Well I dont like the ads but your thing is really funny
I just ordered a limited edition spice girls t-shirt from their website! there's a music store too so you can basically get any song they've ever released online. good to see the girls are being brought up into the 21st century - if i could have used the internet to buy their music when i was 12 my pocket money would have lasted about 2 seconds.
the issue at hand: am i sad?
No Spice Girls are amazing
Although I would never buy their tunes on itunes or something cos you have to have the cd singles/albums - it wouldnt be the same!
Cant wait to buy Headlines cd to add to my collection lol
same. i love having the cds too. more, infact, i like the pictures and stuff - it's amazing how much they've grown up! you going to see them on tour?
if they sold the physicals of the singles I could complete my collection
and the t-shirt is easy to make ourselves for a lot less
very unlikely with Simon Fuller pulling the strings. Last thing he needs is them to get ill through exhaustion.
Is the Variety the 3rd or the 4th?
a load of tut now I look at a map
When they finish in Vancouver it would be roughly 6 in the morning on the 3rd December here, and the fact they're playing San Jose on the 4th Dec (WEST coast of America) it is near impossible.
EDIT: more maths.
Say they left the Variety for John Lennon at 10PM, that's 2PM in San Jose. 12 hour + flight means they would arrive in the morning on the 4th on the west coast. Possible but quite completely barking
EDIT #2: the tour starts on the 2nd so that's wrong, and it wouldn't be the same day
They would probably do a live link up to the royal variety performance. No way would they risk missing a concert cuz of flight delays (e.g. bad weather)!
It sounds really nice! I bet all those babies get in the way though
Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, could be a mini Barbershop trio for the support act
The Spice Children, all part of the big Spice family
lol @ the spice children
Geri Halliwell Interview from Music Week
By Adam Benzine
Renowned for her fiery spirit and independent, feminist attitude, Geri Halliwell surprised few when she became the first Spice Girl to leave the group in 1998. Nine years and four solo number one singles later, Ginger Spice is the member most enthusiastic about the group’s reunion, telling Music Week in this exclusive interview that this is a reunion of “reconciliation” and “celebration”.
It’s been several months since the Spice Girls reunion was confirmed. How are you feeling about it?
I’m absolutely so excited. The idea’s been in my mind since long before, so it’s the fact that it’s happened is just amazing. It’s a prayer answered and a dream come true.
Having been apart for so long, what was it like working on the new songs, Voodoo and Headlines?
To be honest it was a really natural process. Emma [Bunton] and I were in the studio first, working on the new songs, and, actually, I had such a good time with her and it felt really good. It occurred to me is that what really makes a Spice Girls record is the importance of different people’s parts, rather than a Geri Halliwell record or an Emma Bunton record or a Melanie record. Everybody has key parts that they add to songwriting; it’s very interesting to watch.
Do the new songs incorporate any new musical influences or changes in direction?
With the ballad, Headlines, that was about the lyrics and the sentiment of it first and foremost. We were trying to make a really classic song that stands alone – a classic Spice Girls song stands alone no matter what timeframe you put it in – and then we put a slightly harder kind of beat on it to bring the song into this millennium, so to speak. The other song, Voodoo, is a tip to the past. I was listening to a lot of old school Michael Jackson, and it was Thriller that inspired Voodoo. Thriller and his Off The Wall album.
There have been some underwhelming pop act reunions of late. What do you think it is that differentiates the Spice Girls?
I think it’s very unfair to compare any other bands to the Spice Girls because first and foremost, we’ve never put ourselves in the same bracket. We’re a band that is accomplished worldwide, so it’s much more global. All I can say is that we keep the focus on ourselves and try to just be who we are – our reunion was very, very authentic. It was a heartfelt reunion first and foremost.
For me, success has always had two tiers – there has to be heart involved as well as commercial reasons, because the public will always smell it [if there isn’t]. We wanted to do this; it’s about reconciliation, it’s about celebration, and it wasn’t just a case of ‘let’s just do it and cash in’. We’re doing it because actually we wanted to celebrate our music and we knew that this was the right time to do it.
Do you think some pop reunions have been unsuccessful because the members got back together just for financial reasons?
Well no… I think… I don’t want to judge other people’s motivation, but I think our primary motivation is that we genuinely do like each other – contrary to what any newspaper tabloid c**p wants to say, there is a genuine affection between us.
One of the reasons that Spice Girls were so successful was that the band had a huge pre-teen appeal. Was that the result of a conscious effort by you, Simon Fuller and Virgin?
No, we’ve just been ourselves. We’ve never looked outwards, we’ve always looked inwards, to keep the focus on what we like. And if that appealed to pre-teens – who’ve now grown up – then fantastic. It may appeal to them again, who knows.
What made you decide to work with Simon Fuller again?
This whole reunion is about reconciliation, and, basically, you’ve got five very strong characters who generate a lot of work. It requires a lot of work to get a show on the road, that takes a huge amount of energy and resource, and Simon and 19 Management have the capacity and the courage to take that on.
How important was Simon’s influence and support in breaking America the first time around, and how important were Paul Conroy and the Virgin team?
Obviously it has to be a team effort - we’re only as strong as our weakest link. Virgin and Paul Conroy, they serviced and put our record out, which is fantastic, and Simon is very good at making sure that everybody else does their job, which is fantastic as well, we need that. The Spice Girls drive our own car, but we need people to navigate and implement our own vision, and Simon does that. And he has input and makes great suggestions as well. He’s got guts, like us.
Do you think the Spice Girls have been a positive influence on pop music and perhaps opened the door for a lot of the girl groups that have followed?
Yeah. I don’t want to sound like a big-head, but I think that’s a fair statement to say. I think we’ve definitely had an influence which is very flattering and which I think we’re all very pleased about, just as our predecessors have influenced us.
The girls have a history of aligning with brands, and this time round you’re partnering with Victoria’s Secret in the US and Tesco in the UK. What was it that convinced you to pair with these companies?
I’ll tell you why we do this: at the end of the day, this tour is probably the most expensive tour in history. Putting on a show of our magnitude is equal to a contemporary artist doing a tour that would take about 99 dates to recoup. It costs a fortune to put on the sort of show that we feel the public deserves and expects to see.
So in order for us not to lose money on it, we need supportive backing. Engaging with the principals like Tesco or Victoria’s Secret helps us support our public fanbase by delivering a better show. That’s why we engage in it, it doesn’t hurt us. These days I think it’s very accepted for artists. We almost started it, in a way.
Do you feel that Victoria’s Secret is a good fit for the group?
I think that just says who we are. We can connect with anybody, whether it’s the granny that shops at Tesco or the sexy woman that goes to buy a Wonderbra. It shows our range, and that we’re accessible in all areas.
What was behind the decision to adopt an R&B influence on Forever, the last studio album the group put out?
Well, I wasn’t in the band at that point, but I know Melanie B really loved R&B, and Victoria does as well, and from the minute we were in a band together, they always wanted that vibe. But we accepted that the majority want pop music, and it’s like all artists – if you look at Picasso, he had a blue period.
He had different creative periods, and Forever was a creative period in which the girls were expressing themselves. And I think that Rodney Jerkins was a very contemporary, on-the-pulse producer to work with at that moment. I think that album was really celebrating a style of music that is particularly loved by Melanie B.
Looking forward to the comeback shows, are you nervous about performing live?
I think as naturally as any performer is, yes, a little bit. But in a good way, I’m excited.
It seems that every week there are reports in the tabloids of fall outs…
That’s a load of c**p. It’s almost a joke. It’s really comical actually, because we’ve never gotten on better. It’s the biggest laugh ever - it’s like hanging around with your best buddies. We’re just rolling around with laughter the whole time, we lift each other up. It’s brilliant. But that’s not very tabloid friendly, it doesn’t make a good headline.
Do the other girls just laugh of the rumours too?
Yes, we just think it’s pathetic and silly that people choose to write silly things. But most of the time we just laugh.
One of the more curious stories since the reunion announcement is that fans can vote online for a city that you’ll perform in. I gather that Baghdad is getting lots of votes. Would you go and play there if that’s the most voted for city?
Well, if they really did vote that much… we’d cross that bridge when we come to it.
Looking to the future beyond the tour and the best of, will you go back to making solo records?
I’m just really keeping it in the day at the moment. I can’t really think past the tour. There’s such a big mountain ahead of us. For me, I’m just enjoying the fact that we’re together as a band, and right now, actually, I’ve no intention of making a solo pop record, I actually prefer being in a band. I get to be creative, be part of that process and there’s less pressure.
For me, it’s about the creation: I love the writing of the songs, and I like performing a bit. But when you shoot a video, you don’t have to be on whole shoot, you’ve got support, you’ve got other people. It’s much more fun doing it that way. Even writing songs is a much easier process. If one person dries up lyrically, there’s always someone else to chip in.
And have you and the girls discussed doing a new studio album?
Well no, for today our view is: this is just a celebration of the past and of the greatest hits album and that’s it.
I've found this great competition to win http://www.meccagames.com http://www.meccagames.com/meccagames/interface/html/games_promotions.shtml for their concert at the O2 in London!! I've entered and im praying to win! But being a die hard fan i think others should know about it too! Get yourselves entered!
The Spice Girls have cancelled their only announced concert in South America.
Sad.
The ladies just sent out the following email to fans that signed up for tickets to their Buenos Aires show:
“Hi there!
First of all, we would like to thank all our fans who bought our Greatest Hist Album, it’s doing great!
As you know, the demand for our concert tickets in the USA and the UK has been really overwhelming. So, in order to meet that demand, it’s not possible for us to keep extending the tour because of our solo projects and family obligations. That means we are unable to hold a concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We’re incredibly sorry for the delay in making this annoucement, but we have been really trying to fit this date in our schedule.
To make this up for you all, we’ll be having some great competitions for our South American fans. The lucky winners will attend one of our London shows (flight and accomodation included!) and will receive an All Access Pass! Isn’t that MAJOR?
Keep checking thespicegirls.com for news on rehearsals and exclusive contents!
Best Wishes
Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C, and Victoria
xxxxx”
I wonder if it has something to do with poor ticket sales/ Requests for tickets.... me thinks, yes
Yeah I agree, they wouldn't cancel if it was selling well
Ooh me thinks some South American people might not be too pleased now...
I already have tickets so no point me entering, but good luck to those who do.
It's been confirmed the email is a fake and the Bueno's Aires date is not cancelled....
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7111863.stm
it's a fake
It was Perez Hilton who got sent a fake email and posted it and created a huge mountain out of a fake email ! He was the only one who go the email, out of al the SG fans so it had to be a fake.
we should send him another email one day
the gullible one shall fall again
Friday 30th November ITV:
Entertainment today on GMTV will have exclusive footage from the tour rehearsals and backstage as they prepare for their vancouver show. ET is usually on from about 8:30-9:25 am !
Here is the video I uploaded to youtube (sorry for poor quality):
I have school at that time.
I was just wondering, will any of the Spice Girls Tours be shown on television? Live or otherwise?
I seem to remember watching one of their shows from an old tour on Sky Box Office when I was younger, I was wondering if they are doing anything like this this time round.
If not, is there perhaps a DVD of the tour planned for release? Basically I don't plan on getting tickets, yet I kind of want to see their tour because it sounds quite exciting.
I really hope it isnt shown on tv - i doubt it will be anyway - I paid loads I want it to be exclusive not to be shown to everyone in the world
yay I hope I dont forget
the spice girls were also watching mel at dancing with the stars! Shes in the finals!
The shows from O2 wil be on a special radio 2 show. They will pick the highlights from the December concerts and it will be on the radio - sometime in December.
They showed them warming up their voices singing the la la las of Spice Up Your Life !!
I thought it would be more interesting than that. I stayed in for nothing.
I hope they release a DVD for those who can't go to their tours (like me ).
^ I agree. Although it still was exciting. Just can't believe it's only 2 days till opening night!
wow its come so fast!
i hope their ready
Spice Girls fear getting Ill!
The Spice Girls are worried that they may catch shingles because Geri Halliwell's daughter Bluebell has come down with chicken pox.
The illness can cause shingles when caught by adults, so Bluebell has been flown back to the rest of her family in the UK, according to The Sun.
The girl group feared that the illness may force them to cancel their comeback shows in Vancouver, San Jose, LA and Vegas.
A source commented: "Chicken pox is very contagious and when Geri noticed the spots on Bluebell she panicked and warned the rest of the girls.
"Older people who get chicken pox sometimes develop shingles, which could wipe out the band for weeks.
"And it’s not only them who are at risk. Bluebell has played a lot with Victoria’s sons Cruz and Romeo lately."
Digitalspy.com
Video added to first post.
Geri sadi in the GMTV interview that Bluebell was just at home (as in LA home) cuz of the chicken pox...not that she'd flown all the way to the UK. The SG wouldn't be able to catch shingles from the children's chicken pox anyway so the Sun are talking nonsense.
they look amazing
Tom Cruise has the money to buy the entire concert... Nice ban for maybe normal persons, that just know the cousin or whatever of one of the Spice Girls xox.
But Tom wouldnt be allowed to do that anyway thank god!
as if people like Tom Cruise will have had to sit like us at 9am on Ticketmaster ready to pounce
Thanks! I didnt win this time :-( but it was exciting waiting to see if i had! Will be entering the next one too!
Do you not just want to buy tickets off say ebay? They're less than face value for most auctions now.
are they really that cheap on ebay? i imagined them being more than double the price!
Well I have a couple of spare pairs which I'm not expecting to sell on at any more than face value. It's because there is just so many shows now that there's not quite as much demand the price has been pushed way down.
Yeah - I think there are too many dates now
Although the ones still in demand are this weekend at the o2!
I wish I was going this weekend !
I just hope it lives up to all the hype! lol
The Spice Girls have played to a large number of empty seats at their comeback show in Las Vegas.
Reports claim that nearly half of the seats in the Mandalay Arena were unoccupied when the girl group took to the stage last night.
This is the latest disappointment for the band, who also failed to to break the top ten with their comeback single 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)'.
Their Greatest Hits album was also kept off the top spot by Leona Lewis' debut Spirit.
David Beckham was joined by recently defeated boxing star Ricky Hatton in a private box for the girl's performance.
Also in the audience was Wayne Rooney's girlfriend Coleen McLoughlin.
The group have one further date in Vegas tonight, before they move on to play New York.
I'd like to point out that the picture taken to go along with this article was clearly taken before the show even started. Not everyone arrives hours before the show starts .
Besides if the seats were this empty I'm pretty sure it would've been easier for me to get better seats
Thats bull$h!t lol, if it was so sold out then there wouldn't be empty seats and they wouldn't be adding more tour dates due to popular demand.
Spice Girls will record a performance on Strictly Come Dancing tomorrow (Friday) and it will be shown on the results show on Sunday. I can't wait to see it, they better sing it live
excellent!
Oh my! <333333333333
If they dont sing live i may just get a little bit mad
They won't. And their excuse will be, "saving voices for the tour."
Or they could say "we are warming up our voices for Sunday"
They won't be on at all. They've pulled out due to Emma's foot injury
They've not totally pulled out, they're rescheduled for 22nd December - so the final basically. Or that's the latest I heard!
I heard she's as alright as she can be and will make a fast recovery and that it wont affect any of the UK dates, so they still plan to commence in the 02 on Saturday!
Edit - Also who has seen the heels she's wearing at the unveiling of the Spice One plane?! Well her ankle can't be too bad if she's in killer stilettos. Obviously I still wish her all the best though!
she hasnt broken her ankle - shes just strained it - they put her on crutches as a precaution - cos they got 2 shows thsi weekend!
It's rubbish
It goes from Las Vegas to England
without even mentioning.
The photo was taken ages before the gig began. It was nearly full in reality.
cant wait to see it.
The Spice Girls have installed a creche at the O2 Arena in London in preparation for their 17-date residency.
All the girls except Melanie Chisholm now have kids and wanted their child-minders to have somewhere to entertain them during the two-hour shows.
A source told the Evening Standard: "They all want their babies close by and looked after, so their nannies also come with the package."
Other requests for the run - which starts tonight - include a kettle for Mel C and a daily supply of edamame soya beans for Victoria Beckham.
Emma Bunton will have scented candles, slippers and flowers, while Geri Halliwell has asked for Evian water and Mel C wants sparkling spring water. Meanwhile, all the girls have asked for light salads, fresh fruit and steamed fish to be provided.
Sir Richard Branson is expected to be in the audience for the opening gig after lending the band a jet to fly in from LA. The plane, a Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747, was renamed 'Spice One' in the group's honour.
It was recently revealed that Mel C and Geri had argued during rehearsals after Mel complained about "the babies everywhere".
Digitalspy.com
lol at the last sentence !
Mel C NEEDS to have a baby!
sounds fun!
Spice Girls add extra show date
The Spice Girls have added an extra date in Manchester to the UK leg of their world tour.
The group will now play the city's MEN Arena on Saturday 26 January. It will be their final UK performance.
The extra date is in addition to two sold-out Manchester shows, which will take place on 23 and 24 January. Tickets go on sale from Thursday.
The reunited girl group kicked off a 17-date London residency at the capital's O2 arena at the weekend.
The Return of the Spice Girls Tour began in Vancouver on 2 December and will continue in the New Year taking in the US, Canada, Argentina, China, Australia, and South Africa.
BBC
Geri Halliwell is eating garlic and beetroot on the Spice Girls' world tour, according to reports.
The singer has been having daily yoga sessions and sticking to a vegetable-rich diet to ensure that she is fit enough to keep up with the group's hectic schedule.
A source said: "Geri worked so hard to prepare for the tour. The fans mean so much to her and she is scared about letting them down if she were to get ill. She wants to perform to the best of her ability every night.
"She's very aware that even the slightest hint of a cold could keep her from performing and she has been obsessively saying to people, 'Don't let me get ill'.
The insider added: "She sees this as the Spice Girls' big chance to restart their careers. She wants to make sure that absolutely nothing goes wrong."
It was recently revealed that the band's UK comeback performance was marred by backstage tension between the stars.
Digitalspy
Well I agree it would be a disaster for any of the girls to get ill, so if Geri wants to take such health precautions and make sure she's as fit as possible I don't see anything wrong with that.
Heck you should see my vitamin cupboard!
geri doesnt look good now days.. she looks skinny in a bad way.. she used to look good with meat on her bones!
Garlic is good, I used to take it in pill form.
So are they on there tonight then?
edit - I've been told they'll be on the results show
If they are on tonight I doubt they'll be singing live - they never do for TV shows.
They arnt on tonight are they?
they were just on, sang 2 become 1. Mel C had that crazy top hat on that she had on CIN night. Geri looked bored right at the start of it and just looked like she wanted to leave for the whole preformance. It was live and was really good even victoria lol
Yeah, all live. Emma looked amazing and even Vicky sounded great.
They sang live.. I nearly fainted!
omg I missed it - they didnt advertise that very well
was watching celine over on ITV
Has anyone got the youtube for it?
geri looks so mad at the start! waiting for it to load..
that was a great performance!
ta for posting the vid
they look and sound SO AMAZING!
Spice Girls: Old vs New
The reformed Spice Girls have staged one of the most successful comebacks of the year, with a top 10 album and a sell-out World tour.
But can the reunion ever capture the frenzied mayhem of the band's 1990s heyday?
Olivia Hunt, a die-hard fan when she was 10, went to see the band play at the O2 arena in London this week.
She reflects on how the fearsome fivesome has transformed over the last decade.
Each of the five Spice Girls has launched a solo career in the last decade
1997 Impact:
The Spice Girls were the first pop group my friends and I really got into. They came from ordinary backgrounds, and their message was that anyone could achieve their dream. They were a girl band for girls and their influence was remarkable.
Favourite Spice Girl
Mel C. She was cool because she could do back-flips and was a bit of a tom boy. I was fickle, though, and Geri was a close contender.
Favourite song
Stop. The song and dance routine were a must-have for all school discos and even the boys joined in! Their energy, extrovert personalities and song lyrics captured our imaginations.
Girl power
Boy bands saturated the music scene in the '90s and it took a really powerful girl band with a strong image to infiltrate the market. The Spice Girls were ambitious and determined to succeed. Girl Power was about accepting who you were and girls sticking together.
Spice fashion
Interesting, to say the least! Platform shoes and fun outfits that matched each girl's personality. Their influence on what we wanted to wear was huge. I can still remember begging my mum to buy me a pair of platforms!
2007 Impact:
The girls are now all famous individually - so their fan bases have multiplied. People who were young fans in 1997 are now in their early 20s and can afford to go back to see their childhood idols, while a whole new generation has discovered Girl Power.
Favourite Spice Girl
Victoria Beckham. I really like her sense of humour and sense of style. The biggest surprise of the concert was that she can actually sing!
Favourite song
Spice Up Your Life. They started and ended the show with it and the girls put on a fantastic performance! The Lady Is A Vamp was excellent, too. It was performed with a live band in a cabaret style.
Girl power
It had the potential to be watered down, now that the girls are in their 30s. But they represent girl power of a different kind - that of proud working mothers. They even brought their children on stage for Mama! However, the message is still the same: Girls on top, friendship forever.
Spice fashion
They're far more glamorous these days in specially-designed Roberto Cavalli dresses. But Geri wore her infamous Union Jack dress and Mel C wore trousers, which kept the essence of the original act.
Olivia, now 21, was just 10 during the first flush of the Spice Girls success
Spice merchandise
Deodorant, mugs, t-shirts... Absolutely everything was Spice-branded! I had a life-sized cardboard Posh Spice, although my Dad appreciated it more than me! The Spice Movie was also a must-have. One of my friends referred to it as "cinematic genius!"
Geri leaving
I was absolutely gutted! It seemed like the heart of the band had left with her. I think we also knew that this was the beginning of the end for the Spice Girls.
In concert
Unfortunately, I was never lucky enough to see the Spice Girls live back in their heyday.
Spice merchandise
The concert's merchandise stall sported a huge range of Spice memorabilia. In addition to the regular t-shirts and key rings, there were several items for the more mature fan - including Spice Up Your Life aprons and "zig-a-zig-waaah" babygros.
Geri leaving
You wouldn't know that she had ever left. On stage, she seems just as much a part of the group as she ever did. But if you believe the rumours, the tensions are still there.
In concert
It was well worth the wait - and the expense. They were simply fantastic!
Conclusion: If I'd seen them in the 1990s, I'm sure the costumes would have been less expensive, and the show less mature. But they have proved that, 10 years on, they still have what it takes. Girl power!
BBC NEWS
I love it except Mel C's top hat! !!!
But it's so funny that the audience cheers for each girl's solo except Victoria's!!! Whereas in the concert from what i can gather Victoria gets all the cheers!
this will chart top 75 next week i think, great perofrmance
what is with mel c's fashion sense? C'mon girl!
it was a nice performance!
woo! good review. cant wait to see them!
9 days to go!
im glad as i dont see why she shudnt be allowed
getting a signal in Franie and Benny's was impossible
A few places just had no signal for me too
I like the spice girls from the "Forever" era thats when they were the coolest
now some of them are just a bit to cheesy like emma i looved her sexed up image of 200 and 2001.And victoria was soo damn hot back then too and melb was hot then and still are today.
Geri....ehm well
Spice Girls @ O2 Arena, January 2
Digital Spy Gig Review
After the failure of their comeback single 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)', and disappointing sales of their much-hyped Greatest Hits album, it seemed the wheels were in danger of falling off the Spice reunion bandwagon. But tonight's gig, the fourth of 17 that the reformed girl group will play at London's 02 Arena, proves just how far a nice bit of nostalgia can take you.
From the opening trio of 'Spice Up Your Life', 'Stop' and 'Say You'll Be There', it’s clear that this isn't going to be the slickest of arena shows. The girls alternate between cranking out basic, year-one-at Sylvia-Young's dance moves and prowling round the stage in a ramshackle mob. Only Mel C's voice seems to reach the rafters of the 02 Arena, but, with the crowd desperate to sing along to every word, nobody seems to care.
For the most part, the pop vixens don't fiddle with the brilliance of their back catalogue. 'Too Much' is reworked into a finger-clicking big band number, 'Who Do You Think You Are' is given a thunderous house makeover, and 'Headlines' is bolstered by some surprisingly rocky guitar riffs, but, other than that, everything here could have been vacuum-packed in 1997 and reopened ten minutes before the gig started. Hell, Ginger even dusts off her old Union Jack dress for one number.
Because the Spice flame burned hard and fast – they only released ten singles before disintegrating in 2000 - tonight's set can't escape the curse of padding. A disco medley in which the girls take karaoke stabs at 'We Are Family', 'Celebration' and 'Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)' could most politely be described as an exuberant mess, while the popstrels' solo numbers are a predictably hit-and-miss affair. Ginger's Saturday night at G-A-Y rendition of 'It's Raining Men' is surprisingly satisfying, but Baby's solo hit 'Maybe', a sixties-style pop romp, feels slight in an arena setting. Scary's decision to holler 'Are Gonna Go My Way' while lapping at the groin of a male audience member who looks as if he goes another way entirely, meanwhile, is unintentionally hilarious.
Nevertheless, for the most part, tonight's gig is as much fun as a ruthlessly-planned, expensively-staged arena show can be. Their bawdy banter might be heavily-scripted, and the crowd's decision to greet Posh's every note with a deafening roar (Well, she is the most famous, you know!) is somewhat unnerving, but, over two hours, these five women manage to convince us that being a Spice Girl is still the most fun, special, thrilling thing in the world. After all that's passed during the last decade, that's a pretty impressive achievement.
DIGITALSPY
It was a great night as i was there, god i hate these people. they ALL sounded really good.
I was there too!
All alone as I didn't have anyone to go with, and I had 2 tickets!
Why oh why did the crowd go mental whenever Sticky Vicky opened her gob?
Bad news guys;
SPORTY SAYS C'YA TO SPICE GIRLS
THE SPICE GIRLS have split up again – after MEL C told them she has had enough.
The band have now pulled plans to take their reunion tour to Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina - and will play their final gig in Canada later this month.
Mel C had been locked in talks with bandmates VICTORIA BECKHAM, GERI HALLIWELL, EMMA BUNTON and MEL B over the band’s future.
But Sporty Spice does not want to continue so the girls have decided to call it a day.
Last night a Spice source revealed: “Geri and Victoria have been loving the attention and adulation the tour has been bringing the girls in the UK and North America.
“Mel B has really enjoyed being on stage and performing again. And Emma has found it hard with a young son but was prepared to carried on.
“But Mel C is the one who always insisted the reunion should be only short-term. Now she wants to go back to doing her own thing.
“Because they couldn’t all agree the extra tour dates have been pulled. Touring has been harder on all the girls this time round. But all of them could have been persuaded to continue - apart from Mel C.”
The band yesterday announced their gig in Toronto on February 26 will be their last.
Fans
Their statement added: “Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Mel C and Victoria.
“It was announced in June that, as well as the Europe and North America dates, the girls planned to visit Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina.
"But due to the phenomenal demand for tickets in the UK and US, and the tour’s massive logistics, it was impossible to fit in everything.”
The Return Of The Spice Girls tour kicked off in Vancouver, Canada, on December 2 last year. It was the first time they had appeared as a five-piece since Geri left the band in 1998.
Dates were set for concerts in Cape Town, Buenos Aires, Beijing and Sydney this month.
But the tour schedule changed due to demand for extra London gigs and new dates were never set.
There were also questions about whether the girls could sell out all the cities.
The band said yesterday: “It’s been incredible being back together and seeing our fans again. Really sorry if we didn’t get to see you this time round.
“We have other commitments in our lives now. But who knows what will happen next?”
The band are making the most of their remaining tour time - Mel B celebrated a sell-out gig in Montreal, Canada, by DJ-ing at a local club.
But I think this is the last Spice world tour we will see - although I wouldn’t rule out another money-spinning stint in London or Las Vegas.
Anything longer term than that and they would have to be a four-piece - this time minus Mel C.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/article753428.ece
OMG! Mel C! It really does make you depressed that they didn't last longer than All Saints or even Take That.
can't believe they canceled their australian dates
i no this sounds reaqlly sill but i dont want it all to end :-(
I guess that means no Wembley homecoming
To be honest I don't really blame them calling it a day now, it's already been a ridiculously long tour if it were me I'd be tired and if I hadn't wanted the tour in the first place as some members didn't I'd be wanting it to end aswell I'm sure. I can't imagine how upsetting it is for fans who haven't got to see them as yet to be told it won't happen but at the end of the day I guess making a big deal out of it won't change the decision.
So people are SO angry though it's insane, the amount of death threats on Mel C's messageboard is terrible, people are acting like she personally is to blame, which I don't think is true in the slightest despite some of these silly articles.
Mel C has ruined it - great!
Im glad I got to see the tour though
Oh well. I saw it. It was always gonna be Mel C who ruined the party though tbf.
depends what papers you read, others blame Mel B as well
It was always going to be a 3 month tour so it's not that surprising its finishing after 3 months
And the official statement -
"Melanie would like to make it perfectly clear that at no point has she refused to continue with the Spice Girls Tour.
She is very disappointed that the tour isn't continuing at this stage and, as she does not have the family commitments of the other Girls, she is in the best position of all of them to continue.
Any accusation that it was Melanie's reluctance to continue the tour that has brought about this situation is absolutely false."
Also technicalities people half the supposed 'cancelled' dates were never confirmed or on sales. I understand the fuss but nothing was ever set in stone there.
Real shame but it seems a heavy schedule to do.
I think it's ridiculous they announced a world tour and only performed in two continents :\ It proves it was nothing to do with the fans and all about the money. "We've made enough now so we're off..."
i hope someone starts a petition
its no surprise as i think they did what they said they would do,if it was mel c who plugged the plug she has never made a secret of the fact she has reservations about reforming and when she did it was limited
It's a bit c**p for people who haven't seen them, glad I got to see them.
I really think they'll be back to finish off the reunuion properly in the summer. The official statement points to future things in many parts and just says 'this stage' of the tour is coming to an end. Maybe I'm just too optimisitic but I really think it's not the end quite yet. Also I feel sooooooooooooo sorry for Mel C when she always gets blamed for everything, but out of all of them I think she is the least to blame for this part of the tour ending in February. She is the one who has been really into the concerts the most and she puts her heart and soul into everything - out of all of the girls she would want to see the tour through to the end and finish on a high.
I officially hate the UK tabloids for all the c**p they printed over the weekend !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just so much rubbish and so many lies, yet everyone reading just believes it and it will probably affect Mel C's chances of reviving her solo career .
I don't think anything will effect Mel's chances of reviving her solo career... it's dead.
Beautiful Intentions deserved so much more it's a great album
the thing is tho, is mel said herself in an interview how expeniseve it is to make music, so i can see it just being the odd song released every now and again now. cuz her sales are soo low.
Well i hope mel c continues to make solo music as personnally i love all 4 of her albumns
Is it sad that even tho I know it isnt Mel c's fault I still wanna blame her.
Like It's just so easy to point the finger at her... lol.
but she's the only one of the five without children and those family commitments
Just the press trying to pick a scapegoat and surprise surprise they chose Melanie once again
This saturday may 3rd on the channel NED 3 a documentary by Bob Smeaton will be aired: "Giving You Everything".
A story about succes, arguements and unconditional friendship. 9.15pm - 10.20 pm dutch time.
Unfortunately I dont have a DVD recorder Hopefully it will turn up on Youtube or on one of the other Spice Girl Forums.
its been on already and its youtube already
Performing 2 Become 1 on the Strictly Come Dancing xmas show.
Probably their last uk tv performance to date.
ya it cud well be,and i wonder are the rumours of mel b and victoria falling out true??
That was a lovely performance! Maybe if they bring back Top Of The Pops they could get back together and mime another of their biggest hits (ooooh i'm nasty)
i llove the fact that the performance is clearly live, emma sounds amazing
Geri looked a bit lost in that performance. Also Melanie C's top hat really bugged me in this and the Children in Need performance!! Otherwise it was great to see them on TV again together.
WILL WE EVER SEE THEM TOGETHER AGAIN THOUGH
Just watching the Return Tour on YouTube tonight out of boredome and TBH they absolutely killed that Viva Forever + Holler performance. Absolute killer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yv0MoYQ1fbw
The only other girl band I can think of who performed in a stadium is Girls Aloud when they were supporting Coldplay at Wembley Stadium... but otherwise not one!
If only we could have the full 5 piece do a stadium concert
I'll never forgive those outfits for this tour, they were honestly awful. The WDYTYA ones in particular looked liked those cheap cover bands dressed up as the girls.
The setlist was also so uninspiring on this tour. Solo songs, a covers medley, IYCD butchered.
As a five piece, they would break Madonna's Wembley record.
