Welcome to the voting stage of this RECORD-BREAKING synthtastic contest There are 25 dreamy entries for you lot to choose from. You need to select your 10 favourites from the list below. Please use the ESC 12 point system (12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) and PM your votes to me. Voting will close on Saturday April 25th 23:59. The results should then be presented the following day. Please do not vote for your own entry. I understand that this is not the usual 2 week voting period (due to wanting to present results on a Sunday), but it's still pretty close, so get those votes in within these 12 days to avoid any deductions. A 33% deduction will apply to any non-voter entry. I may accept late votes within reason but a 15% deduction will still apply. Just a reminder that this is an anonymous contest - so please do not reveal your entry until I've done so in the results thread. Speculation about who sent what is welcomed though, as are general predictions about what will or won't do well. Let's get to the songs now! 01. Artemus Gordon - Deathrace 2000 02. Hollywood Burns - Scherzo No.5 in Death Minor 03. Future Holotape - Light Racer 04. Kalax - Carousel (feat. World Wild) 05. Wice - Star Fighter 06. Wayfloe - Fractions (feat. Jessie Frye) 07. Yay for this contest breaking the participation record despite being probably the most niche theme so far *.* impact of Jade hosting xx (and perhaps the lockdown a little bit lol) I was wondering if DANCE WITH THE DEAD would get wheeled out again here and indeed they have! An essential for synthwave of course x As are The Midnight so no surprise to see them showing up too! Beyond that there aren't too many other artists I recognise here. David Hasselhoff tho Excited to get stuck into this, hopefully should be another good one! |

omg I thought about The Midnight/Dance with the Dead, but thought they'd be too cheap due to past contest success. Very interested to hear them though.
I'm gonna love this contest I'm sure. |

(for anyone who is unfamiliar this is, in my entirely unbiased opinion nothing at all to do with the fact it was a top 3 hit for me in BJSC, the greatest synthwave song of all time)

I think this will be a struggle to vote for me based on the fact that to my ears most synthwave songs all sound the same. Anyway, it's a not a genre I'm all too clued up on at all so looking forward to expanding my musical palette.

Having a listen through now in the background and I've definitely been transported from my desk to an 80s movie *.*

I was planning to host one next week!
Preferably a day from Monday - Wednesday, whenever we can avoid a Teams live event clash I guess |

This is going to be a nightmare to vote in. I kinda get dobbo's comment in that synth wave tends to be quite similar, I'm finding I like pretty much everything but not necessarily any one track much more than the others.

It is a bit samey in places but in a good way for me *.* the tempo changes + mixture of instrumentals and vocals help at least.
I agree that it's going to be hard to vote in this. Even The Hoff delivered |

I echo the same sound comment lol.
But what's good about that is we will have a very intense voting and no clear winner during results |

I'd be more likely to miss it if it were pinned tbh.
