Yes yes yes to all of these, total underrated classes for me ❤️❤️❤️ Hi Everyone! We're working up a whole FEAST of threads for this 2000s Rewind Forum that will be dropping soon but in the meantime here's a sharing thread to kick things off. Share a song from the 00s that you think has been cruelly forgotten about and, most importantly, explain why you love it and what memories it brings up for you I'll kick things off with The 411 - Dumb I love this one for the "dumb dicky dicky de dumb de don't wan't none" hook and the fact that it's both an insane bop and also has that underlying darkness of being put in the position of this woman deciding if she'll cheat on her husband and that's totally my vibe. That's me for now, over to YOU! I was BOPPING to this gem in my iamspamspamamithe other day! It’s such a sweet sounding song! And why wasn’t this a bigger hit, ladies? I think I found out new anthem, huns! I like the blonde one’s hair ❤️ always seems to get overlooked because of Milkshake having been massive just months before this was out. (and +1 to 'Dumb') BANGER this song that Steps could only wish they recorded. This. |

Kim Lian Omg, I used to love that song so much as a kid. Thought it was a very "cool rock song", which it obviously is.
I re-discovered Lasgo's Something recently during your 'favourite noughties singles voting' and what an amazing song that it! Brings back memories. This post has been edited by Chemistry: Jun 5 2020, 05:30 AM |

I remember discovering Teenage Superstar through either Pop Party or Pop Princesses. Never knew she was Dutch. Shame it never got released over here. Something is gorgeous! I remember loving it as a kid when it came on the music channels but like you I rediscovered it while posting the 2002 heat for BFNS. |

She used to be the host of this kids cartoon channel over here in The Netherlands, so it was quite big news when she released a song as she was already quite well liked (amongst kids at least) and people were rooting for her. The kids channel always played the hell out of the video |

This is beautiful with the piano and great vocal. I re-discovered Lasgo's Something recently during your 'favourite noughties singles voting' and what an amazing song that it! Brings back memories. I actually prefer Dee Dee - Forever which was a hit about the same time. Similar style of dance music but I find it more dramatic than 'Something'. Firstly here’s my favourite song from Mint Royale. It was a top 20 hit in 2002.
Secondly, one from Daniel Bedingfield which really deserves to be more well known, charting at 28 in 2003. |
