Taking the most notable new releases of the week I have shortlisted the potentials for Buzzjack's TOTW. Simply vote for your favourites and the song with the most votes will be the official BJ:TOTW winner! In the event of a double release/album by an artist, I'll choose the one that's been pushed on Spotify's New Music Friday UK playlist/higher on iTunes etc. Remixes or new versions are not included. The contenders: AJ Tracey & Mabel - West Ten Christine and the Queens - Eyes of a child Disclosure, Amine & slowthai - My High Elderbrook - My House Ellie Goulding (feat. Lauv) - Slow Grenade Evanescence - The Game is Over Fontaines D.C. - Televised Mind Glass Animals - Heat Waves Jason Derulo, Puri & Jhorrmountain - Coño Joel Corry & MNEK - Head & Heart Kanye West (feat. Heaven On My Mind... Amazing song
Shame on me for losing last week's vote, I would have voted for this song for sure. Becky has a great voice, I'll start listening to her stuff, she's on my radar. This post has been edited by Adelita: 3rd July 2020, 06:13 PM |

Voted for Kanye/Disclosure & Slowthai/AJ Tracey & Mabel/Fontaines DC/Glass Animals I totally started reading this post wrong and started imagining a Mabel/Fontaines D.C./Glass Animals collab (Kanye & Disclosure might make sense as might slowthai & AJ Tracey but I can't quite see how the latter would work xx) |

Voted for AJ Tracey/Mabel, Disclosure/Aminé/slowthai, Glass Animals, Kanye West/Travis Scott, Sufjan Stevens, Ty Dolla $ign/Kanye West/FKA twigs/Skrillex and WEISS/Harry Romero! (Basically all the ones I expected to based on the names apart from WEISS, and snubbing Christine as her song was kind of a snoozer unfortunately). Like last week nearly everything else on the list was at least decent as well, with the notable exception of the Derulo trash. x
Do my eyes deceive me or is a rapper actually winning this xx (looking back in the archives I think Post Malone/Young Thug was the only previous winner that could be described as rap and even then Post Malone is debatably still not really a rapper). ((that is of course excluding AJ's own previous cameo appearance on 'Times Like These' )) |

So many great releases this week - Glass Animals is the standout for me. Voted for this as well as the two Kanye tracks, AJ/Mabel, Disclosure, and Joel Corry/MNEK.
