From last week's thread:

Cooking Vinyl and British supermarket chain Iceland have agreed a major sync deal that puts a new Christmas song from Peter Andre at the heart of the retailer’s big Christmas ad campaign. The track is taken from Andre’s new Christmas album, ‘White Christmas’ which will be exclusively sold through Iceland marking the first time that the company has ever carried music in its chain of over 800 stores.

The result is an integrated campaign that sees the use of a new original song “Christmas Time’s For Family”, written by Andre and fellow CV Publishing signing Stevie Appleton, as the soundtrack to the series of ten and 30 second adverts, which are being aired across all major channels.

The track is currently available to preorder ahead of its official release on December 8th.

‘White Christmas’ will be sold across Iceland stores from the 11th November. As well as “Christmas Time’s For Family”, the album sees Andre covering such classics as “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”, “White Christmas”, “Last Christmas” and “Jingle Bell Rock”.

It's from the soundtrack to something. Hope it's better than 'Atlas'.

I rather liked 'Atlas'. It took a while to grow on me, but hope it has a better chart run and doesn't get lost in the Christmas week.

Yes join the campaign to get Coldplay - Miracles to number one to beat the X Factor here https://www.facebook.com/events/1497274953890448/?ref=22

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Coldplay-Miracles/658759604244032?fref=nf

And Band Aid 30 is happening also for the 30 year anniversary of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-29980841

Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Emeli Sande etc are all said to be involved.

Could it be a Coldplay 1 - 2 at the top of the charts this Christmastime?

I'd love that, but sadly I very much doubt it will happen sad.gif I hope they don't release it OA/OS otherwise it'll probably end up doing an Atlas and getting lost with the gift card effect. sad.gif

Most of these still have impact dates to come. Break Free has long since gone though, and Open Wide isn't the new Calvin single.

So the dates for these in the thread mean the songs will reclimb on those dates?

No, the 'impact date' is just used as a guide to tell radio stations when to start playing post-album singles (and a lot of the time new remixes / B-sides are released on the impact date but not always).

At least they gave you 18 months to get your money's worth from the original version. Most of these reissues only take about half that long.

You mean his timing of releases at the same time as busy/competitive releases? laugh.gif

No like his last 3/4 singles they get their premiere 3 months before release. This was Zane Lowes Hottest record this week and yet isn't available until Feb wacko.gif

I agree that hearing a song and then having to wait months for its release is SO annoying. Flutes still awaits release, so hopefully December will be the actual date as they keep changing it rolleyes.gif

Trisha Yearwood - Prizefighter: Hit After Hit

Is it just my imagination or is that a bit of an arrogant-sounding title, even in places where she's actually had multiple hits?

One of the best week's to release it, although the week after would be even better - they are the 2 deadest chart weeks of the year. Timber's release date was perfect last year for instance.

Na the week after Christmas week is when there are seldom any new releases and all the Xmas tracks drop like bricks so it's ideal as long as they can muster up some kind of promotion.

Having said that as Christmas day itself falls midweek the Xmas songs will only drop late on so will still be selling well the first half so it may be a trickier one than first thought laugh.gif
