I think its better to just keep it in one thread from now on, since its not really gathering as much attention as it used to.
Wednesday:
4.8 Empire (series high)
3.3 Modern Family
2.8 American Idol
2.2 The Goldbergs
2.1 The Middle
2.1 Black-ish
1.9 Criminal Minds (series low)
1.4 Nashville
1.4 Law & Order SVU
1.4 The Mentalist
1.4 Stalker
1.4 Chicago P.D
1.1 Arrow
1.0 The Mysteries Of Laura
0.5 The 100
Expecting a 5.0 for Empire next week tbh
That would be great. The last broadcast drama to get higher than a 4.8 was Grey's back in 2011.
Thursday:
3.1 Scandal
2.7 How To Get Away With Murder
2.3 Grey's Anatomy
2.3 American Idol
2.1 Two And A Half Men
2.1 Mom
1.7 The Blacklist (series low)
1.4 Elementary
1.3 Backstrom
1.1 The Slap
0.7 Vampire Diaries
0.7 Allegiance
0.4 Reign
LOL at The Blacklist, I wasn't expecting below a 2.0 for at least a few weeks.
5.1 for Empire this week. How high can it keep going? Needs a 5.5 to tie the season high of The Big Bang Theory.
The 40th anniversary special of Saturday Night Live did very well on Sunday, 7.8..
Empire adjusted up to 5.2! MONSTER.
Thursday:
4.5 Big Bang Theory
3.3 Scandal
3.2 Two And A Half Men (series finale)
3.1 The Odd Couple (series premiere)
2.9 How To Get Away With Murder
2.5 Grey's Anatomy
2.1 American Idol
1.7 The Blacklist
1.5 Elementary
0.9 Allegiance
0.9 Backstrom
0.8 The Slap
0.7 Vampire Diaries
0.4 Reign
Good to see The Blacklist steady, even if it is way down from its previous timeslot. YAY at Scandal being up, even if the episode was terrible.
Wednesday:
5.4 Empire (series high)
3.4 Modern Family
2.7 American Idol
2.5 The Goldbergs
2.4 Survivor (premiere)
2.2 Black-ish
2.0 The Middle
1.6 Law & Order SVU
1.5 The Amazing Race (premiere)
1.5 Chicago P.D
1.4 The Mysteries Of Laura
1.3 Nashville
1.0 Arrow
0.5 The 100
Empire is a f***ing BEAST. AMAZING
Empire UP AGAIN to a 5.7!!!!
SHIELD was also back Tuesday to a pretty dismal 1.6. Still confident it will be back though. Not so sure about Agent Carter given it was getting 1.3's at the end but hopeful.
Series Premiere of CSI: Cyber only managed a 1.8 which is about what I expected, but I'm sure CBS would have been hoping for more.
Empire getting those high ratings, it's seriously brilliant! Not watched it, but imo these ratings show that broadcast is not dead yet. I just think networks need some original and innovative ideas...
Is 'Empire' actually any good? The ratings are brilliant, but I've seen the trailer several times to try and get interested in it, but it just looks like a generic drama... Hmm...
The first three episodes that I watched were really good, just haven't found the time to watch anymore yet. The music is great, Cookie is fabulous and I liked what I saw of her sons.
Adjusted up to a 5.8 in finals, hopefully cracking a 6 next week!!
I'm going to watch Empire when its all done. It's heavily inspired by Dynasty (in terms of over the top ridiculosness, more than anything else) which makes me VERY excited for it. It's a soap so I have no expectations of it rewriting any rule books on good TV, I just expect some top notch entertainment, which from everything I have seen about it it clearly delivers in spades.
Oh my lord. Empire is such an unexpected SMASH.
Thursday March 5th
4.7 The Big Bang Theory
3.0 Scandal
3.0 The Odd Couple
2.4 Grey's Anatomy
2.2 Mom
2.1 American Idol
2.0 American Crime (Series Premiere)
1.7 The Blacklist
1.3 Elementary
1.0 Backstrom
0.8 Allegiance
0.8 The Slap

2.1 Once Upon A Time
2.0 Family Guy
1.8 The Last Man On Earth

1.4 Secrets And Lies
1.1 Madam Secretary (Series Low)
1.1 Bob's Burgers
1.0 The Good Wife (Series Low)
1.0 Revenge
0.8 Battle Creek
Wonder if Empire will reach 6.0 this week.
As per usual DST has RAVAGED the ratings and we're in for a raft of new series lows, as with last night:
3.6 The Voice
2.1 NCIS
2.1 Chicago Fire
1.6 NCIS:NO (Series Low)
1.5 Fresh Off The Boat (Series Low)
1.4 SHIELD (Series Low)
1.4 Person Of Interest
1.3 Hell's Kitchen
1.1 Repeat After Me
0.9 The Mindy Project (Series Low)
also LOL at a Forever repeat bagging a 0.8 when an original only gets a 1.0.
Well I don't think ratings really make a lot of difference for the show at this stage anyway, it will be getting a final season, it's just a question of how many episodes and what night it will be on.
So iZombie got too of a good start last night (for The CW and thanks to The Flash as lead in) and I am actually going to watch it, shockingly it looks very good.
3.1 The Voice
1.9 Undateable (Season Premiere)
1.6 SHIELD
1.6 One Big Happy (Series Premiere)
1.6 Chicago Fire
1.3 Hell's Kitchen
1.2 The Flash
0.9 iZombie
0.9 The Mindy Project
Two hour Empire finale scores a 6.4. Last 30 minutes were at a 6.9!
Can't wait to see if it can keep growing in season two (and by how much).
I think it's premiere will be absolutely INSANE, like 7.0+, but it will probably settle into a 4-5 region for most of the season. Which would still be incredible, especially for Fox. If they decided to go for just a 13 episode season I can see it having more stability, but I highly doubt they'll do that. Plus it'll probably be on an hour earlier in order to launch at least one new show too.
Absolutely incredible. I never thought we would see broadcast numbers like that again. Like John I believe it will premiere huge when it comes back (7+) and then eventually stabilise in the 5~ region. I guess that's what happens when broadcast decides to do something original and innovative.
Can't help but think FOX will still f*** this up.
L O L at Mindy, down to a NEW series low of 0.8, only narrowly ahead of iZombie on THE CW!
Empire's numbers are amazing. Has anyone watched it yet? The numbers alone make me consider it even though I have not even seen the trailer yet! [/flopmod]
I haven't yet, but I'm currently SWAMPED by shows I'm saving up for Easter as well as engaging in a Dynasty marathon with my sister and BSG with the whole family. I will be watching when I get time though so will report back if you haven't done so by then.
yes i am watching it and its absolutely amazing.
Scandal bagged a 2.3 this week (and a 2.4 last week). Those are its lowest 18-49 figures since November 2012. I can't say I blame people as the back half of this season has been pretty ill judged (first the BLACK WOMAN UP FOR AUCTION TO RICH WHITE MEN story and then the ham fisted Ferguson episode and a LENA DUNHAM being LENA DUNHAM episode).
Yeah, it's been pretty terrible. I'm just not excited to watch it anymore.
It's gone back to the S1 format of solving different cases every episode (which I'm actually enjoying). I'm sure Shonda will give us another OMFG moment before the end of the season and viewers will come back.
I've been enjoying the mini cases within the episodes too but this weeks episode was just another push to get us to see that Cyrus is human.
I hate that he has these random arcs thrown in each season. He's not an interesting character and trying to flesh him out won't make us like him.
And where the hell is Jake
Jake better be DEAD. He is one of the main issues with the show. Him and Huck and B613 in general.
TWD got an 8.2
Wow! I knew it'd be big but I thought about 7.7 or something nearer to that!
Not content with hitting it's previous series low last week (and a couple of weeks back too) SHIELD bagged a new one last night, a 1.4. It's a shame even more people are turning off as it really is going from strength to strength.
With it being an ABC show//the Marvel connection it should be good for a renewal, but ABC better buckle up for low 1's maybe even by the end of next season.
4.2 Game Of Thrones (series high)
1.3 Silicon Valley
0.8 MTV Movie Awards
0.7 Mad Men
0.5 Veep
0.5 The Royals
0.1 Salem
