Eminem & Ed Sheeran's 'River' topped the chart last week, but can they keep off competition from Ramz' 'Barking' and Drake's new song 'God's Plan'? Climbers should include Sigrid's 'Strangers' and Dua Lipa's 'IDGAF', whilst new releases 'These Days' by Rudimental (which features Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen), 'Fine Line' by Mabel & Not3s and 'Dancing' by Kylie Minogue' all stand a chance at entering the Top 40. In the albums, First Aid Kit and Fall Out Boy will be battling The Greatest Showman soundtrack for the #1 spot, with new albums from Magnum and Of Mice & Men also due to make their debuts. Def Leppard's back catalogue has recently been added to download and streaming services - can any of their albums make an impression on the chart? Breakdown of the week - Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted. - Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm. - Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one. - Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed. - Thursday: See Tuesday. Other notes (please read) - You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod). - Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue. - Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. - To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads. |

I hope FOB can get the #1 album. Would be nice to see them get their first UK #1 album as their previous two albums stalled at #2

FOB are not doing very well on streaming, it all comes down to the traditional sales. I doubt that they can beat TGS

Greatest Showman should have the #1 album easily, FOB will have to settle #2 at best again. Hopefully First Aid Kit can hit the Top 10 this time around since they're doing extremely well on itunes & amazon!
The Go Team to make a brief appearance in the mids please? *.* |

first aid kit for top 10 hopefully, the last one criminally peaked at #11, but they've had lots of singles + good airplay + promo, so they should do it, thety were on graham norton, right?

I think even without streaming The Greatest Showman is set for #1 again, and of course that has a huge streaming advantage.
Think it'll be very close between Eminem and Ramz, could really be either of them but I'm hoping for Ramz with his streaming advantage. |

I just want top 40 for Kylie. I didn't think it'd stand a chance before I saw how it initially did on iTunes, but now I don't want these hopes dashed.

I think the equivalent of hoping a song would go top 40 a few years ago is now hoping it'll go top 75 now.
Hoping it would go top 40 a few years ago was practically the new hoping a song would go top 10 a few years before that |

I thought Fall Out Boy were exactly the sort of people who would do well on streaming. Shows how much I know.

Kylie will unlikely make the top 40. She is 19 on iTunes but has no physical CD and doing very little on streaming. She might chart initially in the top 40 due to a strong start on iTunes but can’t see that being maintained sadly!

Dancing is performing similarily to Make Me and that missed the Top 40 with better streaming IIRC, so I reckon this will land around #50 which would be ironic.
