First single 'Cold Water' features MØ and Justin Bieber and is premiering in the next couple of weeks. Can't waittt.
Would never have imagined just how big they'd blow up with the last album, I'm sure they're bound to just get even bigger from here too. 🙌🏼
Yeah, I thought they were making 'Boom' the next single (which I think could have smashed hard btw) but I'm kind of glad we are getting brand new material.
With the JB feature, it is bound to be big and one of the 2016 Summer anthems.
I wonder if this is 'Music is the Mission' or whether they've abandoned that title for something better more fitting.
Cold Water out next month (which could be tomorrow but I doubt it)

I reckon it's tomorrow. This sounds like it has potential.
It's out July 15th
apparently Ed Sheeran and Benny Blanco (produced hits for Rihanna, Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber etc.) are both involved in 'Cold Water' as well!!!
it's gonna be biggg
Now out 22/7

Leaked on here in full! The quality isn't too good but I have to say on first listen this is very different to what I expected.
I really like it though, it does sound absolutely HUGE.
Can see this being my favourite song very soon.
Meh
Very average. Sounds very much like 'Waves' by Mr Probz and not much like Major Lazer's other stuff.
Don't know if I can be bothered with this being #1 for the next 4 months.
I really like that! Definitely sounds like a huge smash to me. Justin sounding great as always
I can pick up on the 'Waves' comparisons too. I think it will sound pretty good on the radio in the hot weather but it's not one I'll be listening through choice all that often, unless it ends up growing on me, which I could see happening tbh.
this is sounding brilliant! (minus the sound quality of that rip)
I was really excited about this given all three names involved but I can't help feel quite disappointed.
Heard the full song and it does sound huge... probably will be this year's 'How Deep Is Your Love'. Can't help but feel that Major Later are heading down the Sigma route and every song sounding the same.
I have been a fan of Diplo for about 8 years.. this is definitely the most commercial thing I have ever heard him release!
Can see the Waves references.. but I think it does enough to stand on itself. I really like it, very easy listening and yes the streaming and bars are going to eat this up alive!
I thought of Waves immediately when I first heard it too. Really liking it, but it really doesn't seem like a Major Lazer song at all haha.
I suppose the chorus is quite Diplo, but the rest just feels a bit tame. Can see myself loving it, but it seems so much more like a Justin single produced by Diplo rather than the first single from the new Major Lazer album...
Oh YES this is sounding wonderful! It is very Waves but with a far more suited vocalist to the style IMO.
The album is supposedly called "Music Is The Weapon" and it includes features from The Weeknd, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello, Sia and Travis Scott.
"Cold Water" actually wouldn't sound too out of place in Purpose...
Ohh if that is true good album name even, feels like a continuation to their last album
Finally I found a version, I even found a you tube video of running cold water noise from a tap for 3 Minutes and 45 seconds anyhow I feel a bit underwhelmed over it, not really feeling it, I really expected something better from Major Lazer, mind you it was a poor version, it might sound better when a decent cut is out.
Cold Water sounds pretty good from the LQ I found and I wasn't expecting anything from it purely because Bieber's vocals normally ruin a track for me beyond all repair, but they haven't done so here. Good melody and Diplo's done some good production there, even if it is a bit watered-down to truly be a great track.
This is not very impressive. And the guitar reminds me too much or Waves by Mr. Probz.
Literally got this on repeat right now SO GOOD.
Eh it's ok. I agree with the Waves comparison and I HATE that song, one of my least favourite songs ever This is nowhere near as bad but it's very uninspired, the chorus is better but it's just Major Lazer on autopilot.
I've listened in HQ now and I really hope it grows. It reminds me of when I first heard This is What We Came For and was so excited by the names but utterly so disappointed and it never grew. I was hoping for something along the lines of Lean On/Sorry/Where R You
oh christ how boring is this!
I'm not getting this bleh reaction, I think it's really good. Though I am a sucker for a commercial dance bop.
#1 for 10 weeks please x
Yeah I'm finding this quite irresistible at the moment, Justin's vocals sound excellent and the production is good too. Not as good as Light It Up for me though, think that will be quite hard to top!
If it's a question of expecting better then I agree, but I do really like it for what it is and it has a definite replayability (is that even a word?) factor.
EDIT: 14 hours later and I'm OBSESSED <33333
My thoughts when I first heard it were that considering they each came up with 'Sorry' and 'Lean On' it could be better (although I'm fairly sure DJ Snake was the main component in making 'Lean On' what it was), but I'm enjoying it on subsequent listens! It's perfectly summery.
This is so f***ing beautiful. Sounds effortless. Obsessed
It's not as 'big' sounding as I thought it would be, but it sounds quite decent and at least it's finally giving us a new #1 by the look of things!
Remixes by Afrojack, Boombox Cartel, Lost Frequencies, King Henry & Jr. Blender, Delirious & Alex K, Ocular are out tomorrow on Third Pardee label.
Mostly wild genres stated: electro house, moombahton, trap.
Diappointed there's no new diplo dance to be honest :'(
This seems to be the future of music videos then for busy acts. Cba to put out a real video so a dance video becomes the "de facto" official one (see JB with Sorry) & no doubt the DJ Snake one too.
Loving 'Believer' with Showtek. What a banger.
This is sounding so fresh! There's been a distinct lack of dancehall-style Clubland-style tracks this year. Loving it!
I actually rather like this Showtek always bring the jams. Not as good as the last two Major Lazer singles imo but fun nonetheless.
Very fun! Good to see them still putting songs like this & Boom out among their commercially-aimed efforts.
Just before we get Who Knew *.*
Is this out in January then?
Oh my lord So down for the Sia, The Weeknd, and Tove Lo collaborations - it looks as though we'll be getting somewhat of an overload of Major Lazer tracks in the top 40 when the album comes out Really wanting the Sia track to be a dancehall banger, she'd really suit it (I mean we all already know she's open to those influences i.e. Cheap Thrills with Sean Paul). 2017 looks like it'll be a fab year at this rate in terms of music!
'Believer' got official video
Maybe 'Ring Her Up' has been scrapped in favour of pushing Believer? All Around The World appear to have signed the track and uploaded it to their YouTube yesterday.
Surely the label wouldn't expect a Showtek collab to do anything on the scale of a collab with Nicki?
Apparently it'll be dropping this month.
They’ve finally gone back to teasing this album again. Apparently it’s going to be their last though
Now called Lazerism and apparently out next month! Sia and Nicki Minaj will feature on tracks
Do we know if they're splitting up after this, or just not releasing albums?
This is supposedly Major Lazer’s final single with Diplo as part of the project.
It will be the first collaboration with Nicki Minaj since Run Up in 2017. Sample below!
there are rumors that it will come next week
Titled 'Music is the Weapon', out on October 23rd!
I thought they already had an album with that title. Looked it up and it's just that they already announced that title like 5 years ago.
Oh wow another album wasn't on my radar! I wonder which of their recent singles will appear on this then, Lay Your Head On Me, Que Calor, Can't Take It From Me, Blow That Smoke and Tied Up could all feature and I'm sure there's plenty I'm missing too. Hopefully a new single is around the corner with a mainstream push to promote this!
Lol that was the original album title when it was announced yonks ago

Really crappy album in my opinion, like someone had slammed a load of 2016-17 hits in a blender and removed all the memorable hooks. Loved them up to and including Lean On but don't know what's happened to the quality control. They put out any old rubbish now. Maybe Diplo is too prolific.
'Titans' with Sia & Labrinth is out tomorrow ahead of a future deluxe version of the album
Titans is absolute trash
Quite liking Titans! The new tracks on the deluxe are:
Titans (feat. Sia & Labrinth)
Diplomatico (feat. Guaynaa)
C'est Cuit (feat. Aya Nakamura & Swae Lee)
Pra te Machucar (feat. Ludmilla, ÀTTØØXXÁ & Suku Ward)
Hands Up (feat. Moonchild Sanelly & Morena Leraba)
Titans music video is now available
