BuzzJack Music Forum _ Pop _ Nina Nesbitt - The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change

Posted by: Cameron 13th July 2017, 02:37 PM

Nina has been teasing the first single off of her 2nd album. Since the release of her debut 'Peroxide', Nina has released the Modern Love EP and from what I gather, this will be her first proper single since leaving her record label!

I'm here for it if it's another 'Chewing Gum'. wub.gif

Posted by: Cameron 13th July 2017, 11:07 PM

This is really dark and moody, I am really liking it!

SHOOK at how good this is! It's very late 90s, early 00s pop/R&B, like Destiny's Child/TLC kind of thing. This feels like the type of song RAYE needs, love it.

Posted by: Bjork 12th August 2018, 10:56 AM

i like it but what happened to her? when she started she was totally different, looks like a different person now, she used to be blonde, long hair
but her style has also changed, used to be singer/songwriter with guitar ala kt tunstall
even her voice sounds different

I get the feeling her label pushed her into that a bit, she had the Ed Sheehan connection and obviously he was (is) very popular and she had had songs like that before, now she's independent she is experimenting a bit more and not just being pushed a pa female ed Sheehan (especially when that didn't work out too well for her).

She is NOT playing this era omfg

Posted by: Cody Salton 22nd August 2018, 07:56 AM

It’s like half dated and half not? It really sounds like a Mabel track tbh

It’s pretty good actually!

Posted by: Calum 22nd August 2018, 09:11 AM

Love that video wub.gif The song itself is definitely one of her best to date too!

Posted by: JosephAvery 10th October 2018, 06:20 PM

This is potentially her best song so far, absolutely love it wub.gif

Wish there were more new tracks we hadn't heard in a way but I'm glad the singles are all there, this era so far has been so so good, can't wait for this. Going independent and being able to make what she wants seems to have done her the world of good! The artwork is stunning too wub.gif

Only just seen she's playing Bristol and Sunday and it's sold out sad.gif

Posted by: Cameron 30th October 2018, 10:52 PM

So excited for this, everything has been incredible so far!

The album is unreal.

Posted by: Calum 2nd February 2019, 05:46 PM

This really is a brilliant album heart.gif Is It Really Me You're Missing is incredible, easily my favourite from what we hadn't already heard.

Posted by: lewistgreen 9th February 2019, 01:28 PM

Debuts at #21 which is pretty disappointing

Posted by: Liаm 9th February 2019, 01:30 PM

Such a shame, this is a great album that feels like it could be huge by the right person, but she never catches a break or gets the success she deserves sad.gif

Posted by: Bjork 9th February 2019, 03:15 PM

I kinda feel sorry for her
cos what more can she do?

she has great pop songs, good looks, makes good videos, has a label that supports her and pays for her to be high on all kind of Spotify playlists
and still no one cares :/

Posted by: ___∆___ 9th February 2019, 08:35 PM

Such a good album - her marketing is TOTALLY wrong so even with being bought onto Spotify playlists media and the GP don’t really know who she’s trying to appeal to or where she fits in. Such a shame as she deserves to be huge.

Posted by: lewistgreen 13th February 2019, 04:55 PM

A really good album from Nina now I’ve had chance to listen to it in full. Love Letter is probably my fave among the ATs and Somebody Special definitely deserves a re-release.

Posted by: Juan Carlos ⚡️ 11th March 2019, 01:45 AM

She's doing a split release. "The Best You Had" will be her next US single (the third after "Somebody Special" and "Loyal To Me"), while "Love Letter" will be her next UK single. She also mentioned that she has a song with blackbear coming out soon and I guess that "Is It Really Me You're Missing" is only a promotional song.

From https://www.idolator.com/7714432/interview-nina-nesbitt-sun-will-come-up-blackbear:

"The Best You Had" is going to US radio while I'm on tour here. Because that seems to be the one that people are streaming. In the UK, I think that "Love Letter" is gonna be the next single. That's had a great reaction. I think that one will definitely be out in time for the spring, summer festivals. So, it really depends on the market.

Posted by: lewistgreen 14th April 2019, 07:15 AM

So glad that Love Letter is the next single, Radio 2 are currently playing it!

It seems that a re-release of the album (entitled The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change & The Flowers Will Fall) will be out on December 10.

omg

Posted by: Calum 5th July 2019, 11:02 PM

Exciting! This is definitely the better of her two albums, so more in the same vein please! heart.gif

was personally hoping for a bit of a longer title though

Posted by: Cameron 6th July 2019, 10:38 PM

This album is the best album of 2019.
