Taken 3 is a 2014 action thriller film directed by Olivier Megaton and written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. It is the third and was supposedly final installment in the Taken trilogy, and the sequel to the 2008 film Taken and the 2012 film Taken 2. The film stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen and Forest Whitaker. The film has received horrible reviews [11% when I last checked] but should still do well at the box office- especially at the international box office [e.g. everywhere outside of North America where it should still do quite well].
This is meant to be the final one of the series but Liam Neeson said there might be another film and [don't read spoiler if you haven't seen the film ] The film has a pretty much open end and their is no closure to any of the characters I saw this today and absolutely loved it. The action was really great and Liam and Maggie were both amazing. Also when The husband was revealed to be the killer and not that person he was working with was a really good twist for me as I never saw it coming. This was probably my favourite of the franchise I would rank them Taken 3 [9.5/10] >> Taken 2 [9/10] >>>>> Taken [2/10, so overrated]. I know most people's order would be the other way round |

Massive opening in America for this. $40,400,000 from estimates. This is a bit under 10 million below the last entry but that was received awfully so this is a very good hold opening weekend wise. It also has the 2nd biggest January opening ever based on estimates and the 4th biggest run for an on the run thriller [only 2 Bourne films and Captain America are ahead].
I am glad this is doing well at the box office as it is such a great movie |

This was shit. But good shit. I enjoyed it. Even though I was laughing at how silly it was throughout.

I love how they've followed The Expendables route of going down an age rating with each sequel. Go grab that money
