So this pilot leaked a month before it airs in the States and it is so awesome I already need this to be renewed for 4 more seasons.
I might consider forgiving USA for cancelling like all of their shows recently if the new stuff we will be getting instead is of this quality. |

Just watched the first two episodes, very good so far! The pilot episode especially was so tense.
I get the feeling this could be the new 'Breaking Bad' in that it'll be a critic darling and build it's viewership with each passing season and end on the highest of highs. Looking forward to catching up with the rest of the season. It's been renewed btw and at one point, it was the only TV show to ever score 100% on all of it's episodes on Rotten Tomatoes - I think that's changed now. But still a brilliant score, nonetheless! |

Just completed the season. One huge MINDFUCK, but I love it. So intelligent and daring for a show like this. Nice to see them take some necessary risks and actually pull them all off.
Everyone involved were brilliant. Loved the use of FKA Twigs 'Two Weeks' in one of the scenes too! |

I'm on episode 8!!! I was totally convinced Mr. Robot was not really, then I had to deal with two major twists!!!! Now I have no idea.
Great show though, really not sure what to believe from Elliot anymore - Rami Malek is fantastic in this. |

Great series, episode 8 blew my mind, but I'm still not sold on Rami Malik's acting.

Agreed loved it! Finished it a couple of weeks ago... what a cliffhanger!!
For what it's worth I think it was the FBI at the door. Hoping we find out what happened to Tyrell soon enough. He can't be dead, and he can't be another personality of Elliot surely. I also think that the girl in the boot is not dead. Elliot only imagined her to be dead. |

Jeeeeeeeeesus. I just got to the end of episode 8, after thinking the end of episode 7 was shocking enough.
Erm. Why didn't Martin Wolstrom get a Golden Globe nom for this. He's excellent as Tyrell. And I know I've still got 2 episodes to go but he's far more captivating in his role than Slater! |

Just finished it - wow. Episodes 9 and 10 were both great. 9 was rather explosive but 10 was subtle and really set us up for next season. I particularly enjoyed Angela in the last two, firstly for her emotional connection with Eliot in episode 9 and watching her fall deeper into her hellish, evil cult-like job in episode 10 was done really well.
I also think that the girl in the boot is not dead. Elliot only imagined her to be dead. I really hope this is the case, she was my favourite character, it could even be her at the door. Tyrell can't be gone?! He's such a good character, Elliot's exchange with his wife was done really well. |

Anyone else caught up with the premiere?
I've only seen Part 1 so far, but I'm slightly miffed it didn't pick up right after the cliffhanger. |

I caught up with the first season recently - stunningly atmospheric, gripping and ambiguous, It's a mindfuck, but I love that you're never actually sure what if you're seeing the correct thing and I feel the themes are SO relevant to today's world amongst everything. Love the very clear cinematic influences too, namely Fight Club/American Psycho.
Will surely go down as one of the most important TV shows of recent times, I did initially think it wouldn't work for another series, but the final left so many questions stil to be answered so I'm hopeful. This post has been edited by Chez Wombat: 15th July 2016, 01:40 PM |

I can see it going on for quite a while yet. The network it airs on (USA) mainly do procedural stuff, so in their eyes they took a big risk in putting the show on air as it goes against their core audience. But the critics love it, and the general public do as well. You are right, it's such a relevant concept and both Rami Malek and Christian Slater are fantastic in it. |

Going to give this a try as I've just finished Orange Is The New Black and Orphan Black and need something else to fill my evenings with. If you read this and think I should have chosen something else, please do feel free to let me know...

I still need to watch episode 2 of the new series but I wondered if Tyrell was behind the ransom, using the chance to kill off one of the bosses of E Corp as he may think he could just waltz back in if there was a vacancy?
