QUOTE(McAndrew @ Mar 12 2021, 09:05 AM) *
Agreed on 'Lifetime to Repair'.

When I first heard it, I thought it'd be a favourite album track. But then it was released as a single... 😳

But I guess the lack of a proper video didn't help.

Lifetime to repair is funny one for me, when listening to the album i really enjoyed the song, i wasnt particular keen on the actual performance of it on the x factor as i didnt feel it was one of kylies best vocally and then the complicated part was i was slightly peeed off that musics too sad without you wasnt performed instead so i have mixed feelings on the song but overall i much preferred Golden as a single to it.

Real Groove very much the preferred of the two songs but great love for both.
A Lifetime To Repair was the weakest of the 5 Golden singles but much better than New York City.

Generally speaking kylie has so many great third singles from her albums down through the years.

What Do I Have To Do is the standout third single with Love at First Sight following it.

The third Pwl selected singles all were excellent choices.
In My Arms was a good X third choice single that deserved more success than it achieved.

Yes she’s had some brilliant 3rd singles. Locomotion the most successful but Never Too Late, WDIHTD, Breathe, Chocolate, IMA and now Real Groove are personal treasures.

Real Groove has received better treatment than Golden from the label and it appears they haven't fully given up on it just yet.

The whole Golden album is one of my favourites and I love the track ‘Golden’ but it didn’t really need to be a single (If we can call it that it felt like BMG even forgot it was released at the time).

Have gone for RG - great track and if they had handled the whole project timing better (Vinyl, Dua collab, Remixes) it could have done better than #95.

The release of Real Groove required better collation to get a higher chart position.
Golden is one of Kylie's most half hearted singles.

The problem with third singles nowadays from someone like kylie is they have no chance of success they really are there to boost album sales. Real groove did really well in making the top 100 and with some luck it might return when the vinyl is out.
