Wow, my last chart really was quite a way back with LP still on top - now a BJSC entry that'll have a tough time not getting my top votes! Lana's random drop Mariners Apartment Complex this week becomes her record-extending twelfth chart topper for me, following two from her last era. If you're interested in the rundown, it's two from Lust For Life, one from Honeymoon, two from Ultraviolence, two from Paradise and four from Born To Die! And not including any of her actual bigger hits like Video Games (pretentious), Summertime Sadness remix (basic and old before its time) and Young & Beautiful (dreary and completely misinterpreted by most listeners). What can I say, I have specific tastes.

Right behind Lana this week are Visions of Atlantis, the two were neck and neck throughout the last week and the latter will likely be a strong threat into the next chart. The metal group are currently flying high in BJSC with another song with a very different sound-appeal. Pabllo Vittar is this week's other success story, gaining two debut top ten entries this week at once as collabs with Major Lazer and Sofi Tukker reach new heights. Just outside the top ten, Avril is this week's highest new entry. Others this week come from Gallant, Rita, Allie X with her best track in ages, Thom Yorke, Emeli Sande following a great plug discovery, Minke, The Corrs, The Preatures, Vacation Forever and Cardi B.

I am increasingly not getting time to do video links for all my new entries unfortunately, but if you want a listen, my playlists where you'll find a whole bunch of good tunes are linked at the end of this post. Not to blow my own trumpet, but my 30-track A-List is fairly popular with people in the community as a snapshot of current tracks that go well together. It's what I like, anyway.
