Daniil Medvedev beats Rafael Nadal 3-6 7-6 6-3 in the second semi-final. Nadal served for the match in the second set.

I hope tomorrow's final will be as close as today's two matches.

Tough one to call, I think it will go to a deciding set.

You were right. Medvedev won the final 4-6 7-6 6-4. There was little to choose between them but Thiem made more unforced errors.

just realised Medvedev beat the top 3 (Djokovik, Nadal and Thiem)
and all were pretty though games so congrats to him, that's no easy task
think he even had match point against him when he played Nadal

as usual I was very disappointed with Medvedev and Tsisipas, when their head is not there, they cannot play
and Rublev showed his nerves too much, but guess it's understandable as it was his 1st time
Schwarzmann was pretty bad he really had a "grace" period that lasted 3 weeks this year
but now he's back to his old self, good but not great and far from the top 10 players

Andy Murray has been awarded a wildcard for February's delayed Australian Open.

It comes two years after he played what he feared would be his final match as a professional in Melbourne.

The five-time runner-up, suffering from chronic hip pain, lost in five sets to Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut in the first round of the 2019 event.

Roger Federer will miss the Australian Open for the first time in his career as he continues his recovery from knee surgery.

The 39-year-old Swiss, a 20-time Grand Slam winner, has not played since January because of two operations.

He hoped to return at the delayed Australian Open, which starts on 8 February in Melbourne.
