Simon Cowell jumping on a bandwagon. I'm very torn about this. I agree with everyone else saying a donation from at least Cowell if not some of those involved would show that this is being done in good faith and not just as a cynical sales/marketing opp.

Also agree, Bridge Over Troubled Water??? You could have picked any sweet song and you picked that? Guess we should thank our stars it wasn't something horribly inappropriate though given what it's connected with.

Supposedly, the 4 One Direction members are all making appearances on the song - I suppose this'll give it a few thousand more sales!

EDIT - also recently confirmed artists are Tokio Myers, Jorja Smith, Matt Terry & Rita Ora, revealed earlier.

the 'all of 1D on the track' could very well be a big selling point, good call from Simon there.

It sounds like a case of artists being scared of bad publicity for not appearing on it!

I don't think it will be a midnight release. I'm expecting a radio first play ahead of release

Song isn't coming until Wednesday according to The Sun.

They apparently had residents singing in a choir arranged by Gareth Malone.

Aaaand there goes the entire point of the song. What's the point of even releasing it if it'll have a 27-18-OUT chart run or something, they're better off to just hold it back to the 23rd.

Good old Pixie Lott and Tulisa, at least that proves without doubt that it's not just a load of failed popstars turning up in the faint hope of reviving their stone dead careers then.

Why can't they just wait until Friday so The song may get a better chart position??

Because raising awareness and helping others is far more important than a chart position laugh.gif

There'll be more awareness if it reaches the official number one or top five....
