It's such a shame the video totally ruined any momentum it had.

Wow is that it? Did OCC confirm this! Such a shame. Still love it.

That's not too bad for a #43 peak that had a chat run of #43 > OUT pretty much. LOL.

Listening to this now - I still get a little bit of excitement inside me during the verses, anticipating that glorious chorus! Still quite saddened it wasn't at least a minor hit at the time, but I am very happy it gave me so many strong, positive memories. The video of course was a disaster, but I probably watched that all the way through about twice and have the magnificent VMA performance to envision when I listen to the song.

True that! I'm surprised it's over 50k tbh. Chart run wasn't quite that bad it was 42-92-175-168-156-185-75-112-194. It hung around in the lower regions of the chart for quite a while which goes to show if it had some support it could have smashed. It was on 56k at the end of this run, so I expected more sales over the course of the year. But seriously, where was it confirmed out of interest? If I can see an official source I'll update the sales thread |

It really is a shame this didn't do better or isn't as regarded by her fans as it should be.
Listening to it now and it's such a smooth bop~ |

Lol, well I’ll be the one on the fence and say that it’s not her best lead, and it’s not her worst.

I think it's a really good song by her. It's more interesting than some of her output, it has some substance to it.

This (and Slumber Party) hasn't aged well for me but I still love the album, which is a modern pop classic I was addicted to this and overplayed it a LOT, I was completely sick of it by the time Glory was released, then got back into it but haven't listened for a while.

Most of her lead singles are hugely iconic so it' hard to match up, but I'd say this is a very strong single from her overall, and I wouldn't say it's aged badly all. It still sounds nice and summery.

All the queens will cite this as being bad because they equate quality with chart success. The entire ‘Glory’ album is supremely underrated and it’s in her holy trinity for me. f*** some sales, I’m just glad she rebounded from the mess that was ‘Britney Jean’.
