Welcome to the sixth Chart Forum quiz in the current series - Song Title Anagrams!!
Below are 30 anagrams of song titles for you to unscramble. All of these have been in the Top 40 singles chart at some time since 1993 and, aside from maybe a few, should be fairly well-known. The anagrams as they are presented don’t necessarily describe the song or artist (although people might suggest that a few of them do). Punctuation marks (brackets, apostrophes, etc.) can be freely added to or removed from the anagram or the song title. For example: FETCH PENTAGON TILES is an anagram of: CAN’T STOP THE FEELING! - Justin Timberlake Points are scored for each correct song title, and the artist alongside each. For bonus points, there is also a very specific theme connecting these songs and a reason they are in this order, for you to guess: 1. SET MINI CHART POSTS 2. PRESIDENT HEALS HAIRDO 3. GOTH SPLIT 4. RINSED THE HOT TRACK 5. ONE ENGINE'S CUBE 6. LATE DISCO TOWN 7. IF I ALARM 8. OPERATE SKIS 9. DAM 10. EAR AND COMB 11. MICHAEL'S BREAKING INTO SONG STILL TOOK IT 12. A WONDER AMONG US 13. MONTHLY SAND TIMING 14. IT'S ITCHY 15. A LANDLADY THING 16. FUNKY LOGOS 17. DIOR TO AIR 18. ENTER UNION CONCERT 19. JOE'S NET HUT 20. SURE HAD FUN, BUT READ 21. AS PUBLIC BARS ARE UNSUNG 22. FLY IN HERE, SLOWLY OPEN WEMBLEY 23. THE LENGTHS OF MY NEW HINGES 24. STRUTH RUTH 25. MADE A-Z 26. I'M VAN, I TOOT 27. DESCENDING SYNTH DATA 28. OUR SLIGO 29. ORGY IN SOUL 30. RECORD OF THE LUNAR DEMON BONUS: Connection between these songs BONUS: Order of these songs Scoring 2 points for each correct song title 1 point for each correct artist, or 0.5 points if partly correct. In some cases, the same song title will be shared by more than one artist. Only one will completely fit the theme, however if the song of that title by the artist you have given has been in the Top 40 since 1993, even if it does not fit the theme, the artist will score 0.5 points. If the anagram can unscramble to more than one different song title (unlikely but possible I guess), provided it has been in the Top 40 since 1993, that song title will also score 2 points and the artist will score 0.5 points even if neither fit the theme. BONUS: Up to 6 points will be awarded for the theme. There are a few specific elements to this, so you will score 1 or 2 points for each of these you mention. BONUS: 4 points will be awarded for the reason the songs are in this order. Total scores are out of 100 points As a disclaimer, correct answers are determined by the Official UK Charts as published by the OCC, where all song titles appear exactly as the correct answers here do - with one exception, which has an extra section in brackets as part of the title in the answer here (as appears as that song’s title in other sources such as The Complete Book Of The British Charts). To enter, please you could fill in the google form HERE otherwise PM'ing me is fine too. If you have any queries on any of this, please comment below and I'll answer them. Deadline for entries is 11.59pm (UK time) on Saturday 20 March and results should follow the next day. Good luck! This post has been edited by jimwatts: 21st March 2021, 11:57 AM |

Got about 4 of these on first glance, but I can see that most of them are going to be ridiculously difficult!

Entered!
This took a fair chunk of time and frustration last night (and then subsequently had a terrible night sleep with my brain racing!) and also a lot of scribbling and paper used! |

This is certainly one where you get rewarded for putting more time into it! I'm yet to decide whether this is a good or bad thing though

Got about half of these now and I'm fairly sure I've got the connection no idea about the reason they're in that order though, maybe that'll become apparent if/when I get a few more. It's the longer ones that I'm really struggling with!

I’ve only got 8/30 so far and they’re all ones that are under 10 letters. And I can see that those all have something in common but it’s not a narrow enough theme to help me get any others. I’ll definitely need all week for this one!

Haven't had time to look at it but looks like I'd need 3 months to do the can the deadline be extended to June or something?

These make my brain hurt - I've worked out quite a few but some I'm completely stumped by or I'm not sure are actual songs!
