Finale tonight!

Who do we think will win and who are you personally routing for?

Posted by: George.keh 7th November 2020, 04:15 PM

I think Since September will win but Nostalia should

Posted by: Liаm 7th November 2020, 04:25 PM

Yeah I reckon the public will go for Since September D: Should be YChange or Nostalia, would be happy with either of those so 50/50 chance tonight!!

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 04:30 PM

Nostalia are my favourites but I agree, Since September will v likely win.

Posted by: Rossco 7th November 2020, 04:36 PM

The girls are biased towards YChange which I assume is due to their own person taste in music and I think they want them to win. Since September Last night were dire singing Watermelon Sugar, the vocals were more off than on. The girl vocal group are the best singers in my opinion with the exception of the blonde girl, she’s not great. I can’t see any of the groups having much of a career after the show tbh

Posted by: shindymindy 7th November 2020, 05:07 PM

My faves are Little Mix - their performance will be the best of the night.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 7th November 2020, 05:13 PM

Rooting for YChange and Nostalia but I think Since September will win they have a lot of support online compared to the other groups .

I think the girls have been slightly biased towards Melladaze if anything . YChange have just been genuinely good imo and are the most polished ready to go group .

I miss Jesys part tbh but this performance is stunning

Posted by: Wall 7th November 2020, 06:05 PM

That was.....

Such a smart decision to perform this tbh! Hoping it goes top 20 on iTunes again

Posted by: Mr. C. Joel 7th November 2020, 06:07 PM

That was absolutely incredible.

I really hope it gets the boost it deserves.

Posted by: Jade 7th November 2020, 06:08 PM

I'm 5 minutes behind but actually watching it on the day it airs for once cheer.gif

Posted by: Anth 7th November 2020, 06:08 PM

I loved the performance but I was half expecting them to switch into Break Up Song though

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 7th November 2020, 06:12 PM

Just tuned in, how can you vote later on? (online I presume?)

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 06:12 PM

YChange:

Their production value is 2nd to none. Their raps feel v generic though and I think that's why I'm never fully on board with them, despite kmowing that they're technically the best group by far.

Posted by: Jade 7th November 2020, 06:13 PM

'Secret Love Song' stunned my whole household into silence! That was INCREDIBLE wub.gif

Posted by: troylovesmusic 7th November 2020, 06:16 PM

YChange are my winners that performance was everything !

Posted by: Calum 7th November 2020, 06:17 PM

Since September are so bad tearsmile.gif

Really hoping YChange can win, but just can't see it sadly sad.gif

Posted by: Wall 7th November 2020, 06:18 PM

Why are all artists having to do a mash up?

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 06:19 PM

Since September:

Probably my fave from them. I can see why they appeal to people I guess, but they're just not for me. Especially when Patrick and the other guy sing. I wish they had Jacob sing more though sad.gif

Posted by: Jade 7th November 2020, 06:19 PM

YChange smashing it once again! Really hope they win.

Posted by: Billy. 7th November 2020, 06:20 PM

I think YChange are usually good but that performance was not the one for me.

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 06:25 PM

Melladaze:

Just as all over the place as ever. They need a singer with a deeper range. It all comes off as hollow and weak to me.

Posted by: Wall 7th November 2020, 06:26 PM

Melladeze are gonna win this aren’t this?

YChange are huge standouts

Posted by: troylovesmusic 7th November 2020, 06:26 PM

Melladaze have actually improved I’ll give them that but I’m just not a fan of any of there voices tbh

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 06:32 PM

Nostalia:

So good! I thought it started off a bit shaky but they smashed it towards the end!

Posted by: troylovesmusic 7th November 2020, 06:34 PM

I feel liked Nostalia’s performance picked up and got good when they sang Shackles (Praise You) no Scrubs was a bit flat for me I really like them though and if YChange don’t win I want them to win !

Posted by: troylovesmusic 7th November 2020, 06:41 PM

WOW I’m sorry YChange just killed that !!!

Posted by: Wall 7th November 2020, 06:41 PM

That was amazing!!!

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 06:47 PM

YChange:

Yep. Their best for me. Amazing.

Posted by: Zak 7th November 2020, 06:48 PM

Yeah that sold me on them. Definitely should win.

Posted by: 1hit1der 7th November 2020, 06:48 PM

I was hoping they'd change the scoring system in the final lol

Score out of 5 each would have made more sense. Who needs just a large percentage figure = 300%?! laugh.gif

Posted by: Jade 7th November 2020, 06:49 PM

That YChange performance was my favourite across the whole show - goosebump inducing!

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 06:50 PM

Since September:

Probs their best too. Felt much more suited to them than past choices.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 7th November 2020, 06:53 PM

Given 3 votes to Since September, hope they win!

Posted by: Lukuzz 7th November 2020, 06:55 PM

Anyone but Mellazade to win and I'll be happy. Nostalia, YChange and Since September are all great and worthy winners imo. Mellazade are good but just not ready yet I'm sure they'd be great in a year or so

Me too!

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 06:57 PM

Melladaze:

Ermm... that was great!? They at least seem in sync with each other and with their choreography!

Posted by: Zak 7th November 2020, 07:04 PM

Kinda thought they were all great tbh. Big step up from the last few eps. Wouldn't mind any of them winning.

Posted by: Tafty 7th November 2020, 07:04 PM

Nostalia:

Another great performance. Everyone's 2nd performances suited all of them much more!

Posted by: troylovesmusic 7th November 2020, 07:07 PM

It’s YChange for me just voted for them I’ll be happy for Nostalia if they won as well though .

Posted by: Andrew. 7th November 2020, 07:07 PM

Melladaze have come on so much since the first live show. Them to win, or YChange (I finally ‘got’ them tonight, they were my faves!! wub.gif) I wouldn’t mind the other two winning. I see YChange having the most chance at actual success, Since September will probs get a 7-163-x album, Melladaze will probably make like 4OD sad.gif Idk about Nostalia

Posted by: Jade 7th November 2020, 07:11 PM

Based on their final performances:

01. YChange
02. Since September
03. Nostalia
04. Melladaze

Posted by: Andrew. 7th November 2020, 07:13 PM

Ugh I’m sorry but Zara hands almost every new pop girl their arse in live performances, why isn’t she huge sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 7th November 2020, 07:18 PM

Since September were diabolical, I must have been watching something different laugh.gif

YChange for me based on tonight for sure but I'd be happy with Nostalia. Melladaze's first performance was brilliant but I wasn't keen on their second.

Posted by: Liаm 7th November 2020, 07:21 PM

YASSSSS yahoo.gif

Posted by: Andrew. 7th November 2020, 07:22 PM

Not my faves but not disappointed, they have muchas charisma.

You can tell this bit is live compared to the rest laugh.gif

Posted by: Mart!n 7th November 2020, 07:23 PM

Can I have a re-count biggrin.gif

Posted by: Andrew. 7th November 2020, 07:23 PM

Jade totally wanted YChange to win bless her laugh.gif

And that’s that...I enjoyed this show despite the general mess of how it aired, I really hope it comes back next year but I’d be surprised :/

Posted by: troylovesmusic 7th November 2020, 07:24 PM

Why are the UK so trash at voting for things ? YChange were so robbed !

Posted by: Liаm 7th November 2020, 07:24 PM

Posted by: Liаm 7th November 2020, 07:25 PM

Each to their own and all that but I genuinely can't see how someone can listen to that absolute noise and think they were good?? laugh.gif

Posted by: Calum 7th November 2020, 07:27 PM

Very wrong decision there, but when can you trust the UK public with anything?

Can't see any of the bands having any sort of success really - like are they really going to push Since September with a big debut single at all?

Posted by: Mr. C. Joel 7th November 2020, 07:27 PM

I think everyone needs to remember the younger audience and they were basically voting for who they wanted to see on Tour.

McFly / Busted vibes basically. They weren’t my favourite but I get how they would make use of the whole stage and act as hype men before LM come on.

LMAO STOPPPPPP!

Not surprised with the winner at all, despite not being my fave.

Not sure I'm too excited about the prospect of seeing them on tour with the girls ngl lmao.

I've loved the show and with a couple of tweaks (the scoring for example) I think it was near perfect and put a fresh spin on such a dated format.

Edit: In terms of success beyond the show, I doubt any of them will even push/do anything. They might try with SS but idk

Posted by: Mart!n 7th November 2020, 07:31 PM

I really thought YChange was going to win this, they were pretty good tonight, I did like Nostalia as well with their last performance, and I knew Melladaze were hardly winners with the last set of scores from Little Mix. Honestly, Since September... no comment.

Posted by: Wall 7th November 2020, 07:35 PM

I’m shocked Zara never won but she’ll probably be supporting them anyway x

Posted by: Liаm 7th November 2020, 07:41 PM

I doubt any of them will really do anything, I feel like they will just support Little Mix on tour and that's it laugh.gif At least that's more than X Factor: The Band's winners got.

I did like the series!! I think it was quite refreshing despite there being a real general fatigue towards these talent shows, and the girls felt really natural as well. They had such a good energy that I think was a big part of why it worked, the relationship and chemistry they have, you don't get that with other shows. Plus they genuinely cared about nurturing the talent and put their all into it, that makes such a difference on a show like this.

Posted by: 1hit1der 7th November 2020, 07:45 PM

Someone on PJ summed it up perfectly - all those talented diverse females on the stage and the mediocre white guys win oops kink.gif

Overall, the show as whole was a fresh take on the talent show format. The girls were the clear stars!

Had they shown more of the rehearsal process - vocal coaching, choreography etc that would have really set this apart.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 7th November 2020, 08:09 PM

Awful winner, by far the weakest group of the 4.

I thought that was Melladaze tbh.

Posted by: jlj 7th November 2020, 08:14 PM

I totally expected them to win.

The public would never vote for a girlband to win when there was two to choose from when you have a male band there and the type of music YChange do may be the most current and what would stream but it doesn’t ever translate to public votes on a talent show. They were the obvious winners on a public vote.

Posted by: legendsglory 7th November 2020, 08:22 PM

I think Since September was a deserving winner but i fancy Harry so yes, that’s my argument x

Posted by: .MIKE. 7th November 2020, 08:23 PM

Personally, I think that Since September were the right winners... the only ones I could see having some success after the show

Overall... the search was a bit of a mess really.. covid’s fault.. glad the girls got their own prime time saturday show.. but there’s no way I can see it coming back for another series

Posted by: Slick 7th November 2020, 08:31 PM

I thought Since September were predictable winners given Little Mix's younger fanbase. They were decent too but none of the acts have been great.

Posted by: 777666jason 7th November 2020, 09:05 PM

Just catching up now absolutely stunning version of SLS just questionable wasnt a track from the album

Posted by: Mr. C. Joel 7th November 2020, 09:14 PM

Think that was a decision by the BBC.

Pretty sure that’s why they had to do Touch with Holiday...

To stop it from being a ‘Let’s promote Little Mix’s album’ show.

Beautiful performance though, I can’t wait for the EMA’s now...

I was just gonna mention Girls Aloud. It came down to who had the better single and SOTU was a smash!

In terms of a second series - I think I would much rather have a ‘Making The Band’ style spin off following the girls preparing for tour. Creative meetings, planning the visuals, outfits, dance rehearsals etc. Bring us on the journey!

Posted by: George.keh 7th November 2020, 09:42 PM

Second season needed just so I can audition please yahoo.gif

Happy with Since September winning and looking forward to seeing them!

Posted by: 777666jason 7th November 2020, 09:59 PM

But Girls aloud didnt beat One true voice though, unless you class that both released singles and GA just turned out to be most successful,

SLS at 38 & 86 (part II) on iTunes

Posted by: shadow2009 7th November 2020, 10:03 PM

Leigh sounded incredible on Secret Love Song. I actually got goosebumps at her note changes and belting.

Unfortunately Jade was slightly underwhelming. Was it just me or was her mic either really low or her voice not really projecting well enough?

QUOTE(spiceboy @ Nov 7 2020, 09:20 PM) *
Girls Aloud beat One True Voice on Popstars the Rivals...

Yes one single boy band.

When there’s two girl bands to choose from like in this final the votes kinda cancelled each other out well that’s how I seen it anyways. A four person final meant that the more diverse groups votes got split so it made it an easier win for the boys.

With Girls Aloud there was only one other option in that final. In this final there were four contenders with two of those being girl groups. Idk I think Nostalia might’ve stood a real shot if they had sent Melladaze home in the first elimination show.

Posted by: JosephStyles 8th November 2020, 01:09 AM

To be fair, I also don't think either girl group was quite good enough. Melladaze have come along but they're still very much a knock-off Fifth Harmony (and that Get Lucky performance was.... a choice), and while Nostalia are clearly talented, they didn't really provoke much of a response from me, particularly with a song choice as uninspired for them as No Scrubs.

Ychange were my top favourites but Since September also had a very clear identity and delivered strong performances, and they earned the win I think - particularly with their final performances. I'm looking forward to seeing them live on the tour!

Posted by: jlj 8th November 2020, 01:16 AM

I wonder when the tour will actually take place!

Like it could be a year away or so with the world right now. I’d so get tickets if I was confident of it happening but I may wait to nearer the time. They usually do a lot of shows in Newcastle anyways as it’s home to half LM anyways laugh.gif

Also wow at that performance a definite talking point. Would’ve been nice to get something what would’ve boosted Confetti but I suppose any promo / performance would help out the new album.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 8th November 2020, 02:31 AM

Overall the show itself is good and had some great bands, I didnt like the scoring system but the show has good legs to do another series.

Posted by: Chemistry 8th November 2020, 08:27 AM

That SLS performance was fantastic; our girls can SINGGGGG.
I honestly don't think any UK girlband can compete with them when it comes to performing (only Sugababes 1.0 when it comes to vocals and harmony), they really are the whole package. While I do love some others a lot more in general (Spice Girls, Girls Aloud, Sugababes, All Saints or even Atomic Kitten), they really always deliver and have grown sooo much. It's such a joy to see.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 8th November 2020, 01:04 PM

MNEK stanning YChange on his story . I hope he gets in the studio with them !

Posted by: Cameron 8th November 2020, 05:27 PM

So what now with these bands? The prize wasn't a record deal so are they now having to try and find a label too?

Posted by: Wall 8th November 2020, 06:52 PM

Posted by: shadow2009 8th November 2020, 07:40 PM

What I like about Perrie is that she usually has her eyes open when she's singing and it makes it so much easier to connect with and feel the emotion and warmth coming from her voice. I think I was in falling in love with her on that last chorus she did.

Posted by: Oliver 8th November 2020, 09:35 PM

I really didn't like Secret Love Song (probably because of Jason Derulo) but my word that performance! wub.gif

Posted by: shindymindy 9th November 2020, 10:00 AM

3.8m! That’s a big increase in viewers

Posted by: shadow2009 9th November 2020, 10:46 AM

That's insane. ohmy.gif

(Not enough for a second series I guess though?)

Posted by: Liam.k. 10th November 2020, 05:38 AM

The peak sounds impressive but it’ll just have been people tuning in for Strictly. Still, I think that average was a series high and it seems the core audience remained with the show throughout its run.

Posted by: 777666jason 10th November 2020, 07:28 PM

Rewatching the SLS performance it's incredible but they not had a big ballad type single since do you think we will get another like that

Posted by: troylovesmusic 11th November 2020, 06:57 PM

Looks like series 2 could be in the works .

Posted by: shadow2009 11th November 2020, 07:08 PM

I'd be REALLY surprised if a 2nd season went ahead. It seemed to be a one season deal (just finding a support act for tour) and the ratings were pretty bad except for the final?

Posted by: Slick 12th November 2020, 09:01 AM

I honestly thought it would be a one series thing but I guess they might want to find an act to support their next tour.

True but it’s literally been a week since the show ended you would have thought they would have lasted a bit longer than that laugh.gif I do see possibly YChange doing something as well as Since September also .

Posted by: Slick 15th November 2020, 02:48 PM

I didn't think any of the bands would stay together (except the winner.) None of them have been together for that long and there's no record contract incoming.

Have any of The X factor: The Band groups even done anything since December :') I thought Belladaze had potential but it's hard enough to get anywhere as a new girlband these days :/

Posted by: troylovesmusic 15th November 2020, 02:51 PM

According to this article the girls are looking to maybe start there own record label

https://www.thesun.ie/tvandshowbiz/bizarre/6152692/bgt-christmas-special-judges-perform/

The band finished the first series of their talent show Little: Mix The Search for BBC1 last week and are now looking to start their own record label.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock said: “After working with all these amazing bands on The Search, it’s something we can look into.”

If they do I could definitely see them signing and working with a few of the bands from The Search !

The Band that won Real Like You are still together and they’ve moved in together and working on music. They lost a member a few months ago though . Not sure if there still with Syco but they do have a new YouTube channel now .

Posted by: troylovesmusic 30th January 2021, 01:13 PM

Nostalia have released a new music video a cover of Diamonds . It’s actually a decent video especially for a cover song and they sound great . They seem to have a publishing deal with Sony also .

There’s also rumours Since September the winners have signed a record deal with Warner Music.

I think Jasper Blue split up shortly after the show.
Yeah Jasper Blue split up not long after the show and obviously 2 members left from Nostalia. All the other groups as far as I’m aware are currently still together.

Melladaze are still together I think too

Their song 'All the Broken Hearts' starts at 9:10

Matthew honestly takes this from an 8 to a 2. His voice is vile. It doesn't work with the other 3 at all! I feel like Patrick's voice does that but a lot less aggressive. I LOVE Jacob's voice so much though. I'm sure it'll sound more pleasant in studio form and the song isn't bad at all tbh, I would just have liked less Matthew. Him following up Jacob's more tender voice doesn't flow at all. I wonder if him and Patrick switched it'd sound better?

The song itself gives me slight 5SOS first era teas. Specifically 'Amnesia'.

I actually really like the song . I agree I think Jacob and Harry are probably the two strongest singers imo. They should lead more . Matthew sounded a bit strained on certain parts his ad libs at the end should have gone to Jacob but maybe the studio version will sound better.

Posted by: Juliannnial 8th May 2021, 11:24 AM

It's a nice song, It reminds me of Lawson.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 8th May 2021, 11:30 AM

Next episode is up with a new song

(Matthew sounds a lot better here) love Jacobs voice also.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 9th May 2021, 11:26 AM

Final episode with this song apparently there First Single called ‘Let You Go’ songs starts around 8:55.

I’m quite surprised by how much I’ve enjoyed there songs to be honest 3 very decent songs each episode .

Posted by: Tafty 9th May 2021, 11:59 AM

I like the songs too. I really REALLY like 'Hurt Like You Hurt Me'! Jacob's voice is just so special and is perfect for the group!

i'm glad + kinda sad, cause I know they had S2 plans.

but really though, just good. I feel like the show was kinda shit (everything "little mix" about the show was amazing)

Talent shows like this just don't really work anymore - if this was something they did during the LM5 era or GD era I could've seen it being huge but in this current industry it just doesn't work

YChange’s debut single ‘I’ll Be There’ is out now and it’s so good wub.gif

They really should have won this .

The Search Band news a year later (for anyone who cares)

YChange have released a new video to there song I’ll Be There .

They also now have management and are supporting Dappy on his upcoming tour.

Meladaze have released there first single ‘IH8U’on Friday . Despite the cringe title it bops .

Since September released there first single Let You Go a few months back and have been gigging and doing quite a few festivals . They also have a drummer now who plays with them . I heard they were close to signing a record deal at one point but not sure if they actually have or not .

He was my favourite member and had the best voice. I absolutely love their song 'Hurt Like You Hurt Me' and he especially sounds incred on it.

I always felt like he wasn't quite comfortable with their vibe qnd wanted something a bit more mature. Good luck to all of them

Saw this coming a mile off, even if they didn’t.

There was a massive disconnect between them on stage. They could have been plucked off the street for all the presence they had.

It looked even worse when half an hour later, Little Mix absolutely showed the opposite.

Posted by: Muzkik85 4th June 2022, 04:16 PM

Melladaze should have won. They make more sense as a support act and are clearly friends. They deserve better.

Melladaze at the time we’re the weakest group so it wasn’t a surprise they never won (wouldn’t be surprised if they came last in the final vote) However I do like that they’ve stuck together and there’s no denying that they seem to have a good bond as a group .

I think it was always obvious? Seems like a lot of the people on the show only wanted to be soloists. There are only 2 bands still together now isn't there?

I think Melladaze are the only band still together now

Yeah just Melladaze left now. I really liked Ychange a shame they spilt but it must be extremely hard to keep it going as a independent act . I think a few of these groups with a proper label backing behind them could of been something .

Posted by: Yousee 6th November 2022, 09:42 PM

To be completely honest, Melladaze was always my best. They're like mini little mix to me. Their recent releases have been quite cheesy but I really wish they'd become huge!

It’s funny cause if you even look at the early posts of this very thread Melladaze was probably seen as the weakest group at the time the show was on and now there the last group remaining . laugh.gif

Yes, I agree they were the weakest. But again, they were so young, and only just put together. I liked them and New Priority - they gave me similar vibes, and they both seemed to have chemistry. With time, they could potentially become better and better. Even Little Mix weren't superb when they were just put together; however, they showed potential, and got better and better with hardwork.
The evil pandemic didn't help the groups (and the show) either!

Although I would argue that Melladaze are at a lower point than what Little Mix were. Whilst Little Mix's weakest vocalist, at the time, was Leigh-Anne, Melladaze had 5(4?) members who all are at her level, despite there being much more overall talented groups in the show. Whereas on Little Mix's XF season, they were easily the best group.

The only comparison was that both groups were a little rough, but Little Mix were arguably more ahead when compared directly with them. Melladaze just aren't that good, there's no obvious standout voice (whereas at first LM had Perrie) and their voices are all very frail, technically not good and just weak.

Posted by: J00prstar 7th November 2022, 01:34 PM

Jees someone get a nurse for Melladaze

Posted by: Slayer 18th November 2022, 04:49 PM

Melladaze causing drama. What a pathetic TikTok they made slagging off the other groups.

The TikTok makes them look nasty…

Members from other groups were also unimpressed.

How is it untrue exactly? Just because the other bands were unable to stay together (considering the times we are living in it’s not really surprising) doesn’t mean that they didn’t enter with the best of intentions

Well, FLO is the new favourite GG having already won the Brit rising star award (first group to win it), so Melladaze will have to take the backseat.

I don't think FLO being on the up & up was going to affect Melladaze in any way shape or form considering they have not released anything, they haven't started an online presence etc.

So all the groups from this show have split …

But two members from the Boy Group are in a new R&B Boy group called No Guidnce , they dropped there Debut EP Is it A Crime yesterday as well as a music video . Leigh Anne has posted there music on her stories a few times as well .

A music video is also out for the title track Is It A Crime , which was actually written with Victoria Monet !

They’ve built up quite following already over 2.7 million followers on Tik Tok ohmy.gif there music is really good so I’m rooting for them !
