I read it too, but was just speculation, some said that since the album was put up for preorder without a single, there's not gonna be a single preceding the album, but I doubt it, a good single sure helps album sales
but maybe they think they're big enough, and the album is so anticipated that people will buy anyway? |

I guess if they are they’re wanting to keep the lead single release close to the album release date. I hope there is a lead single from this album!

Gutted not to be hearing any tracks ahead of the album, but I get what they’re saying, they want people to enjoy the whole album not just one or two tracks. It will be interesting to see how that works out for them!

it's a bit like what Beyonce did with Lemonade
I'm sure it will work for AM cos its such an anticipated album and theres so much buzz if they want bigger album sales they shouldn't allow cherrypicking of the album on itunes either |

I imagine they'll go all out and release a single with the album at the same time, giving the single a music video joint with insta-support from R1 and decent NMF/Hot Hits placement from the get-go. AM are one of the few bands who do really well in streams and sales so I think another Top 10 hit for them is coming this era

Have they released in the streaming era yet? I imagine the hottest record on 10/5 will be the album itself, maybe a listening party which radio 1 do with releases like this..
