Following 'More Than Alot', 'No More Idols', 'Brand New Machine' and the 'London Bars EP', Chase & Status will release their fourth studio album in 2016.
First single 'Control' featuring Slaves on vocals will premiere on February 23rd and will be released the following day.
Major hype as ever for these guys. Unbelievably consistent with their albums so far unlike a lot of dance acts..
Very Prodigy-esque imo. Not a bad tune though!
The vocals are extremely in-your-face, but overall I'm quite liking it! No strangers to changing up their sound so credit again there, this could be a real grower.
Haven't heard it yet but no surprise the vocals are in your face with Slaves featuring!
NRG (feat. Novelist) will premiere tonight on 1Xtra during Mistajam's show.
^Well what a load of crap that was^ law of diminishing returns for another band it seems...
I quite like it! The production is on point. Novelist is a bit meh though.
NRG is great, I'm a big fan of Novelist so I was looking forward to giving this a listen and it impressed me - not as good as Control though.
Hope there are more tracks like that on the album.
I'm not loving either of these. Will probably give the album a pass.
These two also reminded me of The Qemist.
I feel the album will be a success in general, lots of bangers, good on the dancefloors. Not to be remembered for long though.
Full version available on Spotify
That does nothing for me either, even with the shameless sample. I'm not a fan at all of spoken word in music so from the title alone this was never going to be up my street
powah <3 <3 <3
NRG now has a video.
from the bt sport advert ~ could be bigggg ~~
^^That is MUCH more like the C&S I love!
Just need a studio version.
All Goes Wrong is now on Spotify and available to download now.
Seems that was just a VIP version of 'All Goes Wrong' that was doing the rounds on a TV ad.
The actual version is being released as the next single on September 22nd.
All Goes Wrong is premiering on Annie Mac's show on Radio 1 tomorrow!
Actual hype for this one
this is massive I bloody love it!
This is absolutely brilliant! Thrilled to see them still producing songs as good as this, the production is sooo End Credits
Next single is called 'Moment' and features the band Blossoms.
Sounds like it will be a good collaboration, I would like to see another Chase and Status top 40 hit but it seems unlikely at the minute as drum and bass doesn't do as well in the charts any more.
Always got time for Chase & Status.
Album is confirmed to be called Tribe and is headed up by the single Love Me More
Tracklist:
1. Big Man Skank (feat. Mr Vegas)
2. Dubplate Original (feat. Kano)
3. Love Me More (feat. Emeli Sande)

5. Reload (feat. Craig David)
6. All Goes Wrong (feat. Tom Grennan)
7. Tribes
8. NRG (feat. Novelist)

10. Don't Stop (feat. Bugzy Malone)

14. Nervous (feat. Rage)
15. This Moment (with Blossoms)
16. Control (feat. Slaves)
17. Know Your Name (feat. Seinabo Sey)
OMG Craig David!
Thought there'd be many omissions but the only missing track is Spoken Word!
That's perfectly fine with me^^ the worst song they have ever & will ever put out...
Might be worth checking out after all, have only liked Control & All Goes Wrong so far but some of those collabs look promising.
Looks promising although I think 17 tracks is unnecessarily long. I prefer albums that are 35-45 minutes long personally.
great they skipped the only single that I disliked (Spoken word)
Actually "No More Idols" had 15 tracks and I listened to that endlessly (and even attached some non-album tracks they were involved with on the end such as Doctor's "Tek Your Time") so perhaps 17 tracks will be alright.
I see the Blossoms track as the equivalent of the White Lies one on NMI and that fit in really well so actually I think "This Moment" will grow. "Tribes" is very "Hocus Pocus". They seem to be going with the "No More Idols" formula.
"Control" and "All Goes Wrong" are definitely the best of the era so far.
Stick with This Moment it all of a sudden hit me on listen 35 lol.
Really looking forward to this!
Reload premiering as Hottest Record in the World on Radio 1 tonight
OOFT RELOAD SHOULD'VE BEEN THE SINGLE PROMOTING THIS ALBUM
Not on Spotify/YouTube/Soundcloud yet but you can listen to the clip from Annie Mac's show last night http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05c53yg.
Dubplate Original, Big Man Skank, Don't Stop, Know About We, Tribute and Step Away have all premiered over the weekend.
Remixes of Love Me More are now also available
Reload sounds great!
Genuinely cannot wait to listen to this tomorrow!
I've only just clicked that it's John Newman on 'Crawling'
That to be the next single though pls.
I actually enjoyed this on first listen - Tribes and Step Away my highlights!
OMG, Know Your Name is the THE ONE! That is what I wanted from them this era
