This is the album I play most from her. 'Fragile' is perhaps my favourite ever album track from Kylie and it contains some of my favourite singles ('In Your Eyes' in particular) too! A really great, cohesive, fun listen! <3

'In Your Eyes' is my favourite Kylie single! I love the intense and hypnotic production, quite different to the lighter, summery vibes of most people expect from Kylie but I think this sound work great with her: see also 'Drunk' and 'Limbo'.
It's between this and Light Years for my favourite Kylie album, predictable but there's a reason why they're regarded as her best! This album really helped to mold the Noughties pop scene with many artists wanting to work with the same producers and writers. The music still holds up nearly 20 years on!

I really like the album but also find it overacted, I love In your eyes, my favourite single, the could easily skip the other 3, maybe it’s because I played this album sooooo much at the time

Such a solid album from start to finish and reminds me of such a good time.
Also it was an iconic time to be a Kylie fan and see her return to glory.

Feel The Fever =
More, More, More Not kicking things off with something a little different (than the usual lead single), instead begins with this breathy and frothy dance number which sees Kylie at her most alluring and her outstandingly high vocals dominate throughout and its very clear from the first few seconds that we're in for something very different to her previous album and its a great album opener.
Love At First Sight Now this is where the album really takes off with a muted backbeat and electric piano intro, then suddenly explodes into giant swirling sound, very classy and effortlessly cool and elevated thanks to its state of the art dance production and definitely one of the best examples of 00's pop/dance music. With simple but effective lyrics that evoke the feelings of being in a new relationship, the song is just stunning and quite rightfully established itself as a firm fan favourite. To call this a standout is an understatement.
Can't Get You Out of my Head Yes this is it, that massive globe trotting lead single where 13 years into her pop career Kylie scores her biggest hit and saw her embraced by pretty much everyone with this cool electric minimal track, very sleek and stylish and often labelled as one of the greatest songs of the 21st century and not hard to see why with its hypnotic beats and futuristic production, everything about this just comes together perfectly and of course Kylie's vocals here are top notch, and what else can I say that already hasn't been said, I know the constant overplay may have killed it for a while for Kylie fans, but enough time has to fully re-embrace and enjoy this glorious gem again.
Fever The title track and a somewhat departure from the dance/pop that dominates this album, instead being an updated electro track that inspired by the 80's, and along with very tongue in cheek lyrics that just adds to the fun of the song. Its sexy and certainly suggestive, and just an all round good little number.
Give It To Me Definitely the album's weakest moment here with this hard electro-funk number that's very sharp and heavily chopped up vocals that feels a bit out of place on this album, and then there's that annoying recurrent telephone ringing throughout which really drags things down. The only positive is that at least's its short and could have easily been replaced by any number of the strong B-side/bonus tracks such as 'Tightrope, 'Good Like That' or 'Boy'. The song feels like an experiment that didn't quite work.
Fragile More classy, sophisticated pop/dance now with this gorgeously layered number that's very soothing especially after the chaos of the previous track with a dreamy yet passionate vocals by Kylie that perfectly captures the essence of the song, whilst at the same allowing a bit of vulnerability over its hypnotic soundscape.
Come Into My World Whilst this treads a very similar path to the lead single, but this track is yet another highlight on here with its slinky electro beats, cool guitar licks and some cool synths. This may have been a last minute addition to the album and not quite the version we all know and love (when released as the 4th and final single), but this version is still pretty good and Kylie's seductive vocals really keeps the sophisticated flow of the album running smoothly.
In Your Eyes The thumping and aggressive beat and infectious chorus makes this the perfect follow up single to the massive lead, this is a beautifully crafted number and just a cracking tune all-round that instantly whips you into a frenzy upon first listen and yet sultry at the same time thanks to its blending of dance/pop, nu disco and techno beats that runs throughout and therefore creating a brilliant anthem.
Dancefloor Another track that may feel a little out of place here thanks to its more poppy sound, but its still a fun little track that bounces along nicely and creating a very joyful experience. Almost a continuation of the previous album thanks to its disco sound with lyrics that have a fairly universal message. Just an okay fun little number all round.
Love Affair If there had been a contender for a 5th single then this fantastic electro pop number could have easily fitted the bill, with its perfectly crafted production with Kylie at her seductive best. This has a cool club style with trance like inflections that makes this a cracking offering and dare I say it yet another album highlight.
Your Love Winding things down a bit with this stunning mid-tempo number, with a lilting guitar lends the song a blissed-out feel that's just perfect for chilling out. While this has the same kinda sound as the rest of the album and if this was recorded by a lesser artist then this would have risked sounded samey rather than succeeding at creating a cohesive body of work.
Burning Up Ending the official version of the album with this awesome track that has the quite unusual teaming of acoustic verses with an upbeat dance chorus, that's full of funk, class and disco with high pitched notes reached by Kylie on the choruses and therefore creates one of the best tracks on here and again like many others on here, could have made an amazing single.
Tightrope I've added this Australian bonus track to my version of this album and why the hell not, as this is a definite hidden gem in her discography with its beautifully calm opening bars then heads into a catchy dance/pop chorus with some solid production and while it may slightly differ from the sound of the album, this would have been a more than welcomed addition to this already wonderful body of work.

I was very excited getting this album after light years and u always knew light years would be hard to top but eventhough fever isnt as good it's still a great album and as follow ups go it couldnt have been any better. I was in awe when CGYOOMH went straight to number 1 with sales of over 300,000, it was a big opening sale that really only charity singles managed.

Very good write, so they did toy with a 5th light years single going by that. Il always remember been flabbergasted by cant get you out of my heads 306,000 opening sales as it was unheard of outside charity singles and reality show singles.

Fever was the pinnacle moment in her career. Fever had the appeal to the masses and introduced Kylie to a wider audience globally. The team Kylie worked with during this era were so well focused which resulted in a slick successful era.

Fever was so huge and thankfully at the time I got to enjoy how huge it was and dudnt just realise it years after. Kylie was very emotional winning those Brit Awards her speech was so cute, fever finally got her more recognition in the awards field which was a good boost for kylie.

I think this is my favourite Kylie album! I know what is to come after this and I can't see any of that overtaking this as my ultimate favourite~

It's a heavenly album, filled to the brim with incredible songs. 'In Your Eyes' is my favourite here and would rank in my top 5 all-time singles from her too (challenging for #1 there). And then 'Fragile' is by FAR my favourite album track by her! Away from those, we have iconic other singles, the glorious chorus of Love Affair, and pretty much everything is amazing. The bottom 4 songs are fun/cute but ultimately inessential, whereas everything from 8 upwards is near life-changing. A true celebratory album that is pure bliss from start to end!

I always forget how much I love 'Fragile' until I listen to it, it's a real beauty of a song.
I really wish beyond wish that 'Tightrope' was on this album in place of 'Give It To Me', then it would flow so perfectly and be absolute 100%. That sticks out like a sore thumb.

'In Your Eyes' is my favourite Kylie single and it's in great company on this album. 'Give It To Me' and 'Dancefloor' are the only ones I don't love but I still enjoy them (would have to replace 'Give It To Me' with 'Tightrope' though if there was only room for 12 tracks - that is just essential!). The other B-sides are great too: 'Boy', 'Baby', 'Good Like That' to name a few.
This album really set the tone for a lot of pop music in the years that followed and its impact is still being felt nearly 20 years on, what with critics and fans picking up similarities in Dua Lipa's latest album.

I’ve gradually gone through all Kylie’s 10’s albums, and I’m starting the naughtiest with Fever. WOW The influence on dance pop is so clear to see, it’s a really fresh sounding record. This is literally gay heaven.

I've always loved "More More More" and thought it deserved way more shine. That's the thing with Fever, though: the singles were so MAMMOTH, era-defining, and influential, that the album tracks and B-sides were a bit overshadowed.
I really love that, to my ears, "More More More" slots in really well with the DISCO tracks. I'd also love a mashup with Andrea True Connection's "More More More".

After enjoying ‘Disco’ so much I’ve been listening to ‘Fever’ tonight - it really is her best album since then and dance/pop really is what Kylie does best.
I adore ‘Golden’ and it’s also way up there as one of my favourites and also really consistent and strong but due to it being so different from Disco I can’t compare it against that.

Really good review, his voice was a but mundane but it was in general a good watch.
On October 1st, Kylie Minogue celebrates the 20th anniversary of her chart-topping, dance-pop classic, Fever. The album was a global smash, picking up number 1s in places across the UK, Australia, Germany, Ireland as well as multiple top 10 finishes elsewhere. It featured massive singles such as Love At First Sight, In Your Eyes and one of the singles of the 00s, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head; which peaked at number one across 40 countries, including every European country apart from Finland. To celebrate 20 years of the pop classic, Fever will be released on white vinyl with a special 300gsm gloss print inserted in the gatefold.

I’ve got the red and white vinyl versions - so wish they had gone with any other colour (even black) for this release to make it a bit different!

I wont be buying another Fever vinyl, i know its always nice to get something new but i would also prefer it to be an impossible princess vinyl as that a vinyl i really really want. With Cant get you out of my head been so popular for kylie in the world of streaming, does that benefit the sales of Fever by much?

What I don’t understand, and honestly find quite frustrating, is why Fever always has to be so limited & hard to get? Fans having to phone up HMV to reserve a copy is madness! Just print a decent amount and make it easy to preorder / buy in store… a classic album like that deserves more than being an “around for one day, then put onto eBay for profit” affair.

I agree, this whole strategy has been so so strange! Also the fact that Kylie or her team have not even announced this is happening seems very strange, I would think this would sell quite well and could make them some money if they actually made it more available.

Combined with vinyl sales those together could have seen Fever in the running for a Top 10 return. Kylie has yet to do a special anniversary release in full for any of her albums but if she does, Impossible Princess should be given the royal treatment, vinyls,cassettes and expanded CD but essentially the vinyl treatment.

Doesn't seem like the white vinyl is available either - that's the one that was announced for National Album Day a couple of months back so maybe they've sold out already?
I am rather tempted, although I think I'd prefer the white vinyl.

^ Yeah I'm so confused, you'd think they would have stocked up before Kylie's tweet was posted? There seems to be copies of both vinyl and the cassette available on other sites but also appear to be selling out fast (and they're expensive - looking at over £20 for the cassette! ).

I didnt realise they were doing a cassette aswell, i would like a copy if i can get my hands on one, with a cassette and vinyl out Fever is def going to be back in the charts next week and possibly Top 40, if they can get the cassette restocked it will would help achieve this.

Kylie's previous vinyl releases have sold out and have returned the album in question to the charts Fever should follow that again and possibly chart higher than other releases as it has the cassette sales to support it which previous vinyl releases didn't .

Crazy for such a big album - over 100 have been resold on eBay for £100+ so far so clearly there is a huge demand.
2,000 is such a crazily small amount plus it seems with how quickly they sold there were not a ton pressed of the white vinyl either.
I’m baffled as to why the continually limit her vinyl releases when it’s been proven time and time again that the demand is there.

Nice year end quarter for us kylie fans, fever vinyl and cassette and disco deluxe, kylie will be back in the charts twice by year end and hopefully a top 100 single aswell. I wonder will kylie try and promote both releases if she does promo, I know her focus will be disco but she might mention fever aswell.

Yes everything is released on the same date - the only format that was UK only was the silver vinyl (2,500 copies).

It was a re-entry at #89. You might be getting confused with Light Years, that was #36 thanks to the vinyl.

Townsend had stock of both the vinyl and cassette this afternoon but both have sold out again - so frustrating it’s seemingly so limited for such a big/iconic album, if the Sugababes cane return to the Top 10 mids with their album re-issue then I have no doubt Fever could have done the same!

Cassettes at one point all seemed to start out at around £7.99 and then rapidly get reduced to £4.99 to boost chart sales but now I’ve seen more and more for £10+ and the Spice Girls cassette single was a ludicrous £15 for 2 tracks.
They are so cheap to produce, have generally poor sound quality and I’m sure 99.9% never get played.

Was rumoured to be 1,000 but HMV, Townsend and now Amazon have stocked them so thinking it could be more?
Also cassettes are extremely quick to produce so they could have got more made based on the demand and high profit margin?

Will there be enough of what's available from the new vinyl and cassettes in the uk to be even in with a shout of top 10. I think it was said the silver vinyl has 2k for UK market only which is great so I'm sure it will pick up 1k uk sales from the other vinyl and cassettes combined at minimum, it would prob need a further 2k sales to get top 10. Alot of sales will be from outside the uk like myself in ireland we have to remember.

Cassette has just come back in stock on Amazon - think it’s safe to assume this is definitely not limited to 1,000 copies It went Top 5 on the overall music chart the last time it was available on Amazon so hopefully it’ll do the same again
The cassette sales could contribute to 2000 sales. We know there is a minimum 2000 vinyls sold in the UK. Top 20 is as safe as possible.

It should still do decently, there is the Tim Burgess streaming party tonight - his events always get a lot of attention.
Most indies shops today are posting that they have vinyl stock, we know the 2k for the silver vinyl was all UK only and hopefully at least another 2k of the white vinyl.

I was interested to see that the vinyl sleeve of the new releases is the same as the 2017 release (literally it says copyright 2017 and has the same barcode - but they've got a sticker with a new barcode on the cellophane).

She revealed that 'Your Love' was almost a single ( ) and if she could have done one more single, she'd have loved 'Fever' and wishes she could have made a video for it.

Seeing a few reports of the vinyl skipping so I checked mine - had a mare during CGYOOMH but I cleaned the vinyl, and the nib… put the needle (back) on it - and it worked!
Edit: It also skipped on LAFS and Fragile. A wipe over the entire vinyl sorted it all though.

I've had a couple of listens and it's a better album than I remember it being.
I don't particularly like the opening and closing tracks (Burning Up is actually rather irritating ) but everything between is passable to great. I've found myself particularly enjoying Fragile and Your Love much more than I did when they were released.

I am listening to the vinyl now and... it started skipping on track 1 I have since cleaned it and it hasn't skipped again so hopefully it was just that one off. Ugh, i'll be so annoyed if it's faulty.
But the positive - 'Fragile' sounds even more lucious and perfect on vinyl, omg. It is truly becoming not just my favourite album track by her but possibly favourite track by her PERIOD. What a vulnerable beauty.

I love 'Your Love' but it doesn't scream single at all to me.
I could have definitely have seen 'Fever' released as a single if they had space for it. Perhaps if the first three singles hadn't been so dominant on radio, their releases would have been closer together and it would have seen 'Fever' released as single #5 before the end of 2002.
Or release at the beginning of 2003... I can guarantee it would've gone to Top 5, at least.

Re-releases weren't really a thing back then unless albums under-performed on initial release.
I guess Kylie could have gotten away with an easy Top 10 in January 2003 but I guess that would have come with a music video and promotion and Kylie had a pretty exhausting two years already; she was due a break before getting started on the next album. Plus it wouldn't have added that many sales in the New Year so it probably wasn't considered that worth it.

You can see why it didnt happen, i always felt a song like i believe in you to lead a deluxe would have been brilliant at the time but hindsight is great plus as you said deluxe werent as big back then. I loved the handling of the fever singles, 2 cd sets, 12inch and for some dvd singles, there was just loads to keep everyone happy in those days plus it was the days of getting some great b sides.

I ended up ordering the cassette on eBay - I was too impatient to wait for Amazon unfortunately. It arrived yesterday!
It cost £20.99 (£2 of that being postage) which is actually less than the £22.99 HMV were charging for it (but more than Amazon's £17.99). Part of me feels daft to spend £20 on a basic cardboard slipcase cassette, but having said that it does look nice... I just felt like I had to have it I think it's essentially only Kylie and Spice Girls who could make me spend so much money on cassettes.
My small Fever collection now consists of the original UK CD from 2001, the Sainsbury's vinyl from 2017, and now this new cassette.

The cassette has little appeal outside it been nice to have in the collection.with all the recent cassette releases i wonder are even 5% ever even played once as I doubt many people even have a cassette player. It was a format that never added anything sound quality wise where vinyl does, cds also have a better sound but are much more convenient to get to the tracks you want. I dont miss the forwarding/reminding days of cassettes and especially dont miss when they would tangle.

Interestingly Fever sold 799 copies last week (for the Friday 29th October chart), unfortunately this was 48 sales short of what was needed to be #200. Total = 1,732,650.
And in Monday's midweeks (1st November) Fever was midweek #103 with 483 sales.
Nice that it's still selling quite steadily!

There is literally only one retailer that I can find left with a handful of copies of the vinyl - everywhere else has been cleared out.

Agreed! Looking back now and knowing how much longer chart runs became with downloads and later with streaming, it feels like these chart runs of the physical era do not reflect just how big songs were. The radio airplay chart run seems much more fitting: 26-11-11-3-1-1-2-2-2-2-2-2-4-9-9-14-12-18-21-24-30-38.
Didn't 'Love at First Sight' get more plays in a week than 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' did? It was basically one of the defining hits of summer 2002.
The song itself remains Top 5 Kylie for me and it's one that I'm often told by non-fans that it's their favourite Kylie song. It's just the perfect pop song in so many ways.

I think love at first sight is well known and fairly liked outside the fan base, I think kylie herself ranks it well among her work as she always performs it. The single deserved much much more but it is building up its sales slowly with streaming. I always thought love at first sight should have the follow up to can't get you out of my head and not in your eyes, in your eyes should have been third.

I think it all worked out fine regardless, I rank them both almost equally in my affections and they both performed extremely well for singles from an album which had already sold bucketloads.

I’m not sure having ‘Love at First Sight’ as second single would necessarily mean it would have performed any better. It sounds perfect for the summer, had the added initiative to purchase due to the ‘Can’t Get Blue Monday Out of My Head’ mashup (which was gaining significant airplay itself) and coincided with the UK tour dates.

Aw I do like Elvis vs. JXL tbf! Shame she didn’t release the week before as she would have beaten Will Young’s second week, but tbf her 80k that she sold wouldn’t usually get her to #1 in most of the weeks of 2002. And like you say it wasn’t close at all between her and Elvis either.

The era was certainly worthy of multiple #1 singles but as has been mentioned it almost didn’t matter as the album sold so well and all the singles were hits too.

Dig! is the official Warners/Parlophone store and they often have some good offers.
Still crazy her biggest album still doesn’t have a proper vinyl release - the fact the Sainsbury’s and Record Crate editions still sell for £150+ weekly it shows there is obviously a demand for it!
Can’t wait for Body Language and X, then I’ll take a week to acquaint myself properly with all these albums.
There seems to be copies of both vinyl and the cassette available on other sites but also appear to be selling out fast (and they're expensive - looking at over £20 for the cassette! 
at Amazon having a very vague shipping time of 2 to 7 weeks time 
Also I've seen a picture of the product and it's so not worth nearly £20 
) and if she could have done one more single, she'd have loved 'Fever' and wishes she could have made a video for it.
) but everything between is passable to great. I've found myself particularly enjoying Fragile and Your Love much more than I did when they were released.
I have since cleaned it and it hasn't skipped again so hopefully it was just that one off. Ugh, i'll be so annoyed if it's faulty.
