Poor for both. But the Billboard 'issue dates' confuse me (looking on Wiki), if it was first week for "Boom Boom Pow" then I narrowly missed on it being "Poker Face" for both countries

UK: Shakira f/Wyclef Jean - Hips Don't Lie (final week at #1 - 5th non-consecutive week at #1)
US: Fergie - London Bridge (2nd of 3 weeks at #1)
2006 was one of the years I followed and enjoyed the UK Singles charts very much. Yes, the sales were at their low points but it was still exciting to watch. Hips Don't Lie was number 1. It was then in the Top 3 for three weeks before returning the top spot again for another four weeks, according to the OCC. I also remember this as being the final #1 on TOTP.
I didn't follow Billboard in 2006 so Fergie having a #1 single was new information to me. I still think if Fergalicious was pushed more, it would have had a chance to do well in the UK (it peaked at #2 in the US).
