The final two votes will now be presented together, from Grebo who sent Courtney Barnett and Harve who sent Dananananaykroyd
Grebo: 01 - A Plastic Rose 02 - John Grant 03 - Dananananaykroyd 04 - Male Bonding 05 - Lebanon Hanover 06 - Fidlar 08 - ??? 10 - ??? Harve: 01 - Sloan 02 - John Grant 03 - Sleepy Sun 04 - Lebanon Hanover 05 - Vancouver Sleep Clinic 06 - The War on Drugs 08 - ??? 10 - ??? 01 056 Lebanon Hanover 'Gallowdance' - SevenSeize 02 054 Lions 'Girl From The North Country' - Severin 03 051 The War on Drugs 'Red Eyes' - Thomsen 04 046 Courtney Barnett 'Avant-Gardener - Grebo 05 044 Vancouver Sleep Clinic 'Vapour' - Dandy* 06 044 Sleepy Sun '11:32' - Cal 07 040 Spring Offensive 'Hengelo' - Bre 08 038 John Grant 'GMF' - Horatio 09 034 A Plastic Rose 'This Side of Winter' - Brett-Butler 10 032 Sloan 'Unkind' - AnthonyT 11 023 Dananananaykroyd 'Pink Sabbath' - Harve 12 021 The Royal Concept 'Goldrushed' - Chez Wombat 13 014 Dumb Numbers 'Redrum' - 152Chris 14 012 Fidlar 'Cocaine' - CATORCE 15 010 Turisas 'Ten More Miles' - Eyes 16 010 Male Bonding 'Year's Not Long' - RabbitFurCoat Harve and Grebo both put the winning song in their top 2, the question is does that make the winner Lions after spending most of the contest towards the top or Spring Offensive coming from nowhere to win a very tight competition? I voted for Lions coz it's a Dylan song and head and shoulders over most other things here.
Still stand by my earlier comment tho. Congrats Severin. |

Came on here just in time to see the final results. Didn't expect to win to be honest but I'm happy with the result. Thanks to all who voted for Lions and I'm glad you liked it. Grebo, I kind of take your point about it being a cover but I didn't spend too much time thinking about it.
Some good songs in there. And well done to RFC for hosting a great competition. |

Severin did state it was a Dylan cover but I was happy to allow it through as I wouldn't imagine many participants would be familiar with it.

Ah, just missed that top-3. I don't think I've reached that in any of our competitions since entering Wild Nothing - Chinatown or something like that back in the 1980.
Didn't like the winning song at all but that's the usual business... Thanks for hosting this, RFC This post has been edited by Thomsen: 2nd March 2014, 08:45 PM |

I didn't get the winner at all... oh well! The songs in 2nd and 3rd were my favourites though so I cannot grumble too much.
Thanks to Bré and RFC in particular for the points, glad Vapour picked up some love from some quarters. |

Thank you very much to the four people that voted for me! Not an ideal result, but a little better than what it was looking like earlier.
Well, that winner ranked last for me, so not great, but I did really like all of the other top 5. Congrats to Severin |

Congrats Severin! I'm soo happy that my favourite won this time, now I can (nearly) forgive Mondkopf's second place in UP. Thanks RabbitFurCoat for hosting and AnthonyT (I think) for coming up with the idea of 'Nuggets'! I originally started participating in UP as I wanted to find some songs like these (I clearly didn't know what UP is all about or I still suck at genres).

I'm so sorry I didn't get round to voting. Some top stuff here, would have been a privilege to get a decent finish without the penalty.
