I have watched all of the episodes so far and have to say it has lost it's charm. It's no longer the light hearted comedy that SATC was.

They keep mentioning their age which is getting irritating and the whole focusing on non-binary with Charlotte's daughter, Carrie's boss and now Miranda is coming out is trying too hard as well as Charlotte and her need for friends of colour.

I have no idea how something like SATC which was utterly BRILLIANT has gone down hill so much, very sad in my opinion.

The big end to the first episode was a shock at first, but I was always team Aiden!

It is different, but in parts I find it quite a nice nostalgic watch.

At times they are trying to hard to be 'woke' and to be inclusive. It should feel more natural than they made it.

i absolutely love this show - i have so many thoughts on it that i don’t have time to put down now but the biggest take-away for me is that i am so lucky that my favourite show + these characters are still a part of my life 20 years later. that doesn’t happen a lot + i’m very thankful for that.

i didn’t say they were the same.

that said, it wouldn’t make sense if they were exactly the same. i’m sure you’re not the same person you were 20 years ago. people grow, sometimes for better or worse, sometimes apart. perhaps you just don’t understand that enough to enjoy the show.

Soo Miranda has changed completely and is now portrayed as an out of touch dinosaur, and everyone has had a lobotomy, but all that's just business as usual??

Hardly anything in it makes sense, and they have butchered the three main characters, and man aliiive the storylines!!!! Cringe in the City.

I’m actually quite liking it - I like seeing them older and with Carrie seeing a new generation around her it adds to the nostalgic element

Where is Aidan though?!!!

i don’t hate it, i love it! i think the people that hate it were always going to find problems with it. their favourite character was probably samantha and they can’t see past it.

i’m very glad you don’t hate it! wub.gif

I get the universal hate for Che Diaz which I'm seeing everywhere, such a shame they had to make a non-binary character so f***ing insufferable in pretty much every way possible.

Otherwise, I'm really enjoying the show and it feels to me like the SATC (- Samantha) that I would expect to see in 2022. Speaking of, I feel like they've handled that situation very well and it still feels like Samantha is a character in the show.
