Pixar have released a teaser for their upcoming film Onward which is out on March 6, 2020 in the USA (no UK release date yet).

It's directed by Dan Scanlon (director of Monsters University)

QUOTE
The film is set in a suburban magical world where humans do not exist, and is instead populated with elves, trolls, mermaids, centaurs, fauns, satyrs, gnomes, sprites, goblins, and others, and where unicorns are raccoons and dragons are pets. Two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley, embark on a quest to discover if there is still magic in the world in order to spend one day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.

Really looking forward to it!

This has been getting very good reviews! I'm still not "excited" about it personally (and that really breaks my heart coz Pixar >>>>>) but I'm still intrigued by it and the reviews have hyped me up more. So fingers crossed it's more top tier Pixar.

Some reviews have been "Best Pixar film in years" (that's a big deal considering Coco, Incredibles 2 & Toy Story 4 were all fantastic) and "Pixar need to continue with original stories" whilst others have been "Yeah, it's very good". Expect the usual Pixar emotional impact though.

I hope it gets a short film along with the cinema screening like most Pixar films do. Shame Toy Story 4 never had one

They seem to have stopped the short films for some reason! I agree with you though and I hope they're back for this!

I hope they bring them back. It’s not a Pixar film without a short film beforehand

Saw this today and enjoyed it. Not sure I agree with the statement that it’s the best Pixar film in years (I think I preferred Coco) but the emotional punch is still there.

There is a short before the film...but it’s not a Pixar one. I enjoyed it very much, though! biggrin.gif

INCREDIBLE film. Perfect Pixar magic.

A shame it will bomb at the box office because of Corona and noone venturing out sad.gif

Saw online somewhere that this will be released onto Disney Plus next Friday due to nobody being able to see it in the cinema thanks to Coronavirus - will be interesting looking back on this and seeing how quickly it became available on streaming compared to most over hit films.

It’s being added to Disney+ Australia & NZ on the 24th April so maybe the same will happen in Europe? Although you guys only just got Disney+ where we’ve had it for months so you might have to wait longer
